Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy. Hace poco estuve viendo algunas películas nuevas y me apareció la película Un Deseo Irlandés (My Irish Wish) protagonizada por Lindsay Lohan quien desde muy joven se destacó por películas muy famosas como Una Viernes de Locos (Freaky Friday) o Juego de Gemelas. Volver a ver una actuación de ella en su nueva etapa más madura y recuperada de todas las cosas que sucedieron en su juventud me emocionaba mucho, además de ver qué era una película de romance y que la trama de la película y el nombre llamó mi atención de inmediato. Hello friends of the Movies & Tv community, I hope you are doing well today. I was recently watching some new movies and I came across the movie My Irish Wish starring Lindsay Lohan who since she was very young stood out for very famous movies like Freaky Friday or Twins Game. To see again a performance of her in her new more mature stage and recovered from all the things that happened in her youth made me very excited, besides seeing that it was a romance movie and that the plot of the movie and the name caught my attention right away. Maddie (Lindsay Lohan) es una joven que trabaja como escritora y editora de libros, recientemente uno de los libros que se encargó de editar tomó mucha fama y que además es del escritor muy reconocido Paul Kennedy quien además de trabajar con Maddie también tienen una amistad y siempre intercambian ideas para las siguientes historias para sus libros. Pero Maddie más que una amistad y admiración siente también atracción hacia Paul pero no es capaz de decirle lo que siente por él y cuando tiene la oportunidad de hacerlo ya Paul conoce a una de las mejores amigas de Maddie y ambos se enamoran de inmediato tanto que ya a los meses empiezan los preparativos para la boda.

Maddie (Lindsay Lohan) is a young woman who works as a writer and editor of books, recently one of the books that she was in charge of editing became very famous and it is also by the well known writer Paul Kennedy who besides working with Maddie also has a friendship and they always exchange ideas for the next stories for his books. But Maddie more than a friendship and admiration also feels attraction towards Paul but she is not able to tell him how she feels for him and when she has the opportunity to do so, Paul meets one of Maddie's best friends and they both fall in love immediately so much that after a few months they start the preparations for the wedding.

En un arranque de querer cambiar la situación Maddie se sienta en un banco cerca de un árbol junto a la hermosa vista del paisaje irlandés y con todas sus fuerzas desea que la boda entre Paul y su amiga no suceda. Así como lo manifestó apareció de la nada una mujer vestida con un traje bastante irlandés y una gran sonrisa, le dice que ella llegó hasta ahí por el deseo de Maddie y que le va a conceder eso que tanto desea. Y es así como Maddie se despierta un día en la habitación principal de los novios, con Paul en el baño diciéndole que ya falta poco para su boda y Maddie confirma esto viendo una foto que hay en una mesa de noche donde salen ambos muy enamorados.

In an outburst of wanting to change the situation Maddie sits on a bench near a tree next to the beautiful view of the Irish landscape and with all her strength she wishes that the wedding between Paul and her friend does not happen. Just as she said it, a woman dressed in a very Irish costume and a big smile appears out of nowhere, she tells her that she got there because of Maddie's wish and that she is going to give her what she wants so much. And that's how Maddie wakes up one day in the couple's master bedroom, with Paul in the bathroom telling her that their wedding is just around the corner and Maddie confirms this by looking at a photo on a nightstand where they are both very much in love.

Al principio el haber deseado casarse con Paul parece algo increíble y mágico para Maddie, de hecho siente que es lo mejor que le ha sucedido en su vida. Pero se va dando cuenta con la convivencia de que hay cosas que ella no conoce realmente de Paul y que tal vez la conexión romántica que sentía ya no es la misma y es por eso que se ve acribillada entre seguir con la farsa de la boda y hacer todo lo que ella quería para su vida o regresar a ese banco en medio del campo irlandés y rogarle a la mujer mágica que le concedió el deseo que cambie las cosas y vuelvan a ser como antes.

At first the desire to marry Paul seems incredible and magical to Maddie, in fact she feels it is the best thing that has ever happened to her. But she realizes as they live together that there are things she doesn't really know about Paul and that maybe the romantic connection she felt is no longer the same and that is why she is torn between going through with the charade of the wedding and doing everything she wanted for her life or going back to that bench in the middle of the Irish countryside and begging the magical woman who granted her wish to change things back to the way they were before.

Volver a ver a Lindsay en una película hace sentir esa nostalgia de las personas que recordamos sus películas antiguas llenas de diversión y con su toque de personalidad que solo ella puede dar en su actuación. Un deseo irlandés es una película que además de hablar de cómo puedes llegar a desear cosas que tal vez no sean las que necesitas para tu vida, también nos habla de las maneras que tiene la vida de ponerte en el lugar indicado con la persona indicada y eso fue lo que pasó con Maddie que tal vez no tuvo su final feliz con quién ella pensó que sería su mitad pero conocio a otra persona que le demostro que era una mujer muy valiosa, que no tenía que cambiar para poder encajar y que siempre hay nuevos sueños que cumplir y ella logró realizar el suyo, poder escribir una historia propia dónde se pudiera dar a conocer y se respetara su trabajo como escritora.

Seeing Lindsay again in a movie makes us feel that nostalgia of people who remember her old movies full of fun and with her touch of personality that only she can give in her performance. An Irish Wish is a movie that besides talking about how you can come to desire things that may not be what you need for your life, also tells us about the ways that life has to put you in the right place with the right person and that was what happened with Maddie who may not have had her happy ending with who she thought would be her half but she met another person who showed her that she was a very valuable woman, that she didn't have to change to fit in and that there are always new dreams to fulfill and she was able to fulfill hers, to be able to write her own story where she could make herself known and her work as a writer would be respected.
