Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren bien el día de hoy y estén teniendo una excelente semana ✨. Hace días ví en la comunidad una persona que compartió su reseña de la película The Life List y que pueden encontrar en la plataforma de Netflix, está película me llamó la atención porque me parecía interesante ver qué tal desarrollaban la idea de una lista, lo que no sabía es que tenía un significado más profundo, así que los invito a leer mi reseña 💫.

Hello friends of the Movies & Tv community, I hope you are well today and are having a great week ✨. Days ago I saw in the community a person who shared his review of the movie The Life List and that you can find on the Netflix platform, this movie caught my attention because I found it interesting to see how well they developed the idea of a list, what I didn't know is that it had a deeper meaning, so I invite you to read my review 💫.

La trama nos cuenta la vida de una joven llamada Alex Rose (Sofia Carson) quien vive junto a su madre y que tiene dos hermanos con los cuales no tiene la mejor relación pero aún así todos tratan de llevar las cosas con calma y aún más cuando se enteran de que su madre quien padeció de cáncer y estaba recuperada le regresó la enfermedad y no le dieron un buen pronóstico por lo que Alex junto a sus hermanos pasan la mayor parte del tiempo junto a su madre hasta que ella fallece y quedan destrozados, sobre todo Alex quien era muy apegada a su madre y que está pasando por un momento de crisis existencial que no le permite ver con claridad que es lo que desea para su futuro.

The plot tells us the life of a young girl named Alex Rose (Sofia Carson) who lives with her mother and has two brothers with whom she does not have the best relationship but still everyone tries to take things calmly and even more when they learn that her mother who suffered from cancer and was recovered, the disease returned and she was not given a good prognosis so Alex and her brothers spend most of the time with her mother until she dies and they are devastated, Especially Alex, who was very attached to her mother and is going through a moment of existential crisis that does not allow her to see clearly what she wants for her future.

Existe un testamento donde a todos les queda algo exceptuando a Alex, esto hace que ella se sienta sumamente mal hasta que habla personalmente con Brad Ackerman (Kyle Allen) el abogado de su madre quien tiene que darle una serie de instrucciones que ella quería que Alex cumpliera, resulta que en la adolescencia Alex había escrito una lista de cosas o sueños que desearía cumplir. Ahora las indicaciones son que debe cumplir con todas los deseos de su lista y podrá ver un cassette de su madre por cada deseo que cumpla. Esto le parece a Alex muy ridículo pero al final le interesa saber que es lo que su madre quería conseguir con que ella cumpliera con esta lista.

There is a will where everyone has something left except Alex, this makes her feel extremely bad until she talks personally with Brad Ackerman (Kyle Allen) her mother's lawyer who has to give her a series of instructions that she wanted Alex to fulfill, it turns out that in adolescence Alex had written a list of things or dreams that she would like to fulfill. Now the instructions are that he must fulfill all the wishes on his list and he will get to see a cassette tape of his mother for each wish he fulfills. This seems very ridiculous to Alex but in the end she is interested to know what her mother wanted her to achieve by fulfilling this list.

La lista está llena de cosas interesantes cómo el tener que reconciliarse con su padre y encontrarse de nuevo con su pasión que era ser maestra. Durante todo el camino podemos ver la resistencia de Alex por tener que cumplir con cosas que deseo cuando era casi una niña pero mientras va avanzando la historia nos damos cuenta de que la mamá de Alex fue tan sabía al ponerle esa condición para poder recibir al final un sobre que contiene algo desconocido pero que es sumamente importante que lo lea para darse cuenta que todo su esfuerzo no fue en vano.

The list is full of interesting things like having to reconcile with her father and finding her passion again which was to be a teacher. All along the way we can see Alex's resistance for having to comply with things she wished for when she was almost a child but as the story progresses we realize that Alex's mother was so wise to put that condition in order to receive at the end an envelope containing something unknown but it is extremely important for her to read it to realize that all her effort was not in vain.

Particularmente no me gusta demasiado la forma en la que actúa Sofia Carson pero que le dieran este papel y que representara de una manera muy humana a una mujer que está encontrando su camino en el mundo me permite ver qué ella puede hacer mejores papeles solo que tal vez no ha tenido la oportunidad o no ha escogido bien. Sin embargo disfrute de todo lo alocado que fue el proceso de cumplir esta Lista de la Vida, enfrentándose a sus más grandes temores y entendiendo que su madre siempre quiso que ella lograra los sueños que de joven tenía.

I don't particularly like Sofia Carson's acting but the fact that she was given this role and that she portrayed in a very human way a woman who is finding her way in the world allows me to see that she can do better roles but maybe she hasn't had the opportunity or hasn't chosen well. However, I enjoyed the crazy process of fulfilling this Life List, facing her greatest fears and understanding that her mother always wanted her to achieve the dreams she had as a young girl.

Me gustó mucho la actuación del abogado que tiene un papel fundamental en la historia y que parte de sus encuentros hacen que se vuelvan cercanos, además también las escenas fueron grabadas de una manera en la que sentías la tristeza de Alex al perder a su madre y cómo ésta siempre estuvo preocupada por su bienestar a pesar de vivir momentos de profundo dolor producto de la enfermedad, siento que las escenas de los videos en los cassettes fueron mis partes favoritas pero también las que me hicieron sentir una profunda tristeza 😢.

I really liked the performance of the lawyer who has a fundamental role in the story and that part of their encounters make them become close, also also the scenes were recorded in a way that you felt the sadness of Alex losing his mother and how she was always worried about his well being despite living moments of deep pain product of the disease, I feel that the scenes of the videos in the cassettes were my favorite parts but also the ones that made me feel a deep sadness 😢.

Lo que también me llamo la atención fue que está historia está basada en el best seller del 2013 de la autora estadounidense Lori Nelson Spielman, nunca había escuchado sobre este libro pero por lo que estuve investigando la historia fue tan bien recibida que llegó a muchos países y consiguió ser traducida a múltiples idiomas. Básicamente la autora dice que se inspiro en una vieja lista que ella misma escribió cuando era más joven y que encontró ya después de sus cuarentas, al ver que algunas cosas habían quedado enterradas y que no pudo cumplir sintió la iniciativa de crear este libro que resonó en muchas personas y que probablemente sea mejor que la película, me gustaría poder leerlo y saber que diferencia tiene de la película.

What also caught my attention was that this story is based on the 2013 best seller by American author Lori Nelson Spielman, I had never heard of this book but from what I was researching the story was so well received that it reached many countries and managed to be translated into multiple languages. Basically the author says that she was inspired by an old list that she herself wrote when she was younger and found after her forties, seeing that some things had been buried and that she could not fulfill she felt the initiative to create this book that resonated with many people and is probably better than the movie, I wish I could read it and know how it differs from the movie.

Es una historia llena de mensajes reflexivos, dónde nos invita a buscar perdonarnos y reconciliarnos con esa parte de nosotros que alguna vez fuimos y que creímos que estaba en el olvido. Encontrar una lista de deseos y poder cumplirla es algo que suena cliché pero en la historia lo plasman de una manera maravillosa y aunque pudo haber sido mejor la película, tal vez con otros actores, me gustó de todas maneras y siento que es una buena película para esos momentos en los que nos sentimos perdidos y pensamos que soñar es para niños, además de que nos deja el mensaje de saber apreciar el hoy y a las personas que nos quieren, realmente disfrute de verla y espero que puedan darle una oportunidad 🧡.

It is a story full of reflective messages, where it invites us to seek forgiveness and reconcile with that part of us that we once were and that we thought was in oblivion. Finding a wish list and being able to fulfill it is something that sounds cliché but in the story they capture it in a wonderful way and although the movie could have been better, maybe with other actors, I liked it anyway and I feel it is a good movie for those moments when we feel lost and think that dreaming is for children, plus it leaves us the message of knowing how to appreciate today and the people who love us, I really enjoyed watching it and I hope you can give it a chance 🧡.
