El dÃa de hoy quise ver una pelÃcula de una larga lista que tengo por ver en la aplicación de Letterboxd y decidà ver Cuándo Harry conoció a Sally o When Harry Met Sally en inglés una pelÃcula de género romance dirigida por Rob Reiner del año 1989. La verdad es que no me habÃa fijado muy bien en qué trataba la historia de esta pelÃcula y tampoco sabÃa quienes eran los protagonistas, solo sabÃa que muchas personas les gustó esta pelÃcula y que tiene muy buena valoración por el público amante del cine. Al principio la vi con un poco de desgano porque sentÃa que era demasiado graciosa y no me convencÃa el actor que hizo a Harry.
Today I wanted to watch a movie from a long list that I have to watch in the Letterboxd application and I decided to watch When Harry Met Sally, a romance movie directed by Rob Reiner in 1989. The truth is that I had not really noticed what the story of this movie was about and I didn't know who the main characters were, I only knew that many people liked this movie and that it has a very good rating by the movie-loving public. At first I watched it with a bit of reluctance because I felt it was too funny and I was not convinced by the actor who played Harry.
Está historia nos cuenta como Harry conoce a Sally en la ciudad de Chicago por una amiga en común y es cuando ambos empiezan a tener interés por conocerse aunque Sally siempre fue muy estricta con las reglas sobre la relación de amistad que ambos tenÃan y sobre sus ideas acerca del amor; que Harry siempre que podÃa le decÃa que las mujeres no podÃan ser amigas de los hombres y que si esto sucedÃa era porque el hombre estaba interesado en esa amiga para algo más que una relación de amistad. Luego de que Sally deja a Harry en Nueva York; pasa un tiempo en el que no se ven pero el destino los vuelve a unir.
This story tells us how Harry meets Sally in the city of Chicago through a common friend and that is when both begin to have interest in knowing each other although Sally was always very strict with the rules about the friendship relationship they both had and about her ideas about love; that Harry always told her that women could not be friends with men and that if this happened it was because the man was interested in that friend for something more than a friendship relationship. After Sally leaves Harry in New York, they don't see each other for a while, but fate brings them together again.
Ahora que han pasado unos meses Sally tiene una relación con un hombre que entrarÃa en el estándar de ser el hombre perfecto pero se reencuentra con Harry vuelven a tener encuentros para hablar más que todo acerca de como han cambiado sus vidas y como les va en sus relaciones de pareja. Sally a pesar de tener una gran atracción hacia su pareja; las cosas no van del todo bien y la relación se termina esto la hace sentir un poco dolida pero siempre se mantiene con la mente hacia sus propios objetivos y trata de no darle tanta importancia a el tema del amor en su vida; aunque claramente para ella es algo muy importante aunque trata de no mostrarlo de esa forma.
Now that a few months have passed Sally is in a relationship with a man who would fit the standard of being the perfect man but she meets Harry again and they meet again to talk mostly about how their lives have changed and how they are doing in their relationships. Sally despite having a great attraction to her partner; things do not go well and the relationship ends this makes her feel a little hurt but she always keeps her mind towards her own goals and tries not to give so much importance to the subject of love in her life; although clearly for her it is something very important although she tries not to show it that way.
Mientras tanto Harry continua pensando que las relaciones son muy fáciles de llevar; que solo tienes que tener atracción hacia otra persona y acercarte y hacerle saber lo que sientes y todo irá de maravilla, pero a él también le ha ido mal con su ultina relación y tratando de ayudar de alguna forma a Sally quien se convirtió en una amiga para él; habla con uno de sus amigos y arregla una cita doble donde Sally tambien llevará a una de sus mejores amigas pero las cosas salen totalmente diferentes a lo que ambos (Sally y Harry) pensaban y sus amigos empiezan a conocerse y se dan cuenta de que tienen mucho en común y al poco tiempo empiezan su relación.
Meanwhile Harry continues to think that relationships are very easy to get along with; that you just have to be attracted to another person and approach them and let them know how you feel and everything will go great, but he too has been doing badly with his ulterior relationship and trying to somehow help Sally who became a friend to him; He talks to one of his friends and arranges a double date where Sally will also bring one of her best friends but things turn out totally different from what both of them (Sally and Harry) thought and their friends start to get to know each other and realize that they have a lot in common and soon after they start their relationship.
La historia de amor entre Sally y Harry va desde cuando se conocieron por casualidad hasta unos doce años después donde se siguieron frecuentando, no fue fácil para ambos poder darse cuenta que desde el comienzo sintieron algo más que amistad; de hecho la pelÃcula muestra de una forma muy realista y a la vez divertida cómo dos personas pueden llegar a conocerse pero por sus decisiones y convicciones no terminan de dar el paso para aceptar sus sentimientos. Es una historia muy divertida dónde en todo momento Harry tiene algo gracioso que decir aunque también hay mucha verdad en las cosas que dice. Sally es una mujer hermosa pero con problemas para saber cuando debe abrir su corazón y le tomó doce años el poder darse cuenta de que Harry era la persona indicada para ella; el hombre que la conocÃa desde hace más de una década y quién aguantó todos sus cambios de humor y también su rechazo.
The love story between Sally and Harry goes from when they met by chance until about twelve years later where they continued to frequent each other, it was not easy for both to realize that from the beginning they felt something more than friendship; in fact the film shows in a very realistic and funny way how two people can get to know each other but because of their decisions and convictions they do not end up taking the step to accept their feelings. It is a very funny story where at every moment Harry has something funny to say although there is also a lot of truth in the things he says. Sally is a beautiful woman but has trouble knowing when to open her heart and it took her twelve years to realize that Harry was the right person for her; the man who knew her for over a decade and who put up with all her mood swings and rejection.
Es una historia que puedes ver de manera muy rápida y además es bastante corta con una duración de una hora y media, veo que muchas personas les gustó esta historia y que sintieron cariño hacia la historia entre Harry y Sally que tiene sus momentos de felicidad y a la vez de tristeza y hasta dan ganas de meterse en la televisión y darle una buena bofetada a los dos por ser tan tontos y no darse la oportunidad desde el principio; pero como digo no es fácil abrirse a otra persona y demostrar lo que eres realmente y eso es lo que significa amar a alguien, es dejar que vea tanto tus defectos cómo tu forma de ser. Está pelÃcula la pueden encontrar en MagisTv y también en PrimeVideo, se las recomiendo si les gustan las historias románticas de personajes totalmente opuestos y con muchos momentos de diversión.
It is a story that you can watch very quickly and it is also quite short with a duration of an hour and a half, I see that many people liked this story and felt affection towards the story between Harry and Sally that has its moments of happiness and at the same time of sadness and even makes you want to get into the television and give a good slap to both of them for being so silly and not giving each other a chance from the beginning; But as I say it is not easy to open up to another person and show what you really are and that is what it means to love someone, is to let them see both your flaws and the way you are. This movie can be found in MagisTv and also in PrimeVideo, I recommend it if you like romantic stories of totally opposite characters and with lots of fun moments.

Todo un clásico de las peliculas románticas, es bueno darse el gusto de verlas. A mà me encantan este tipo de historias donde nos muestran que el destino puede hacer coincidir a las personas hasta que se den cuenta de que deben estar juntos, muy cliché de mi parte jajaja. Me alegro que la hayas podido ver y te haya gustado 🤗
