Yesterday I finally got to see the Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 movie and I am aware that there have been many reviews already done around here since the day of its release, so I want to go deeper into my opinion and something curious that happened to me when taking into account the large amount of positive comments about the movie, can this influence how you perceive the movie once you get to see it on your own? If you are interested in knowing my opinion, let's move on, let's talk about "Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3".

It is no surprise to anyone that, in superhero movies, for the most part, the plot is always the same, a new villain appears, the good guys must save the world, there are small stories within the main one that is what ends up differentiating one movie from the other, clearly this is something that I mention in broad strokes, in the case of Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 something curious happens, yes, there is a new villain, but the heroes in this case are not trying to save the world, they are trying to save a friend and this already brings a more emotional side that shows us where the plot is headed.

I'll give you a pretty simple plot summary without spoilers so I don't get so long on this part and focus more on my opinion. The movie starts with all the guardian team going about their business, Quill seems to be depressed still because of what happened in the previous movies, a new villain appears or at least that is suspected when he starts attacking in search of Rocket, he gets hurt and the only way to save him is with a code that surely Rocket's creator has and it is at that precise moment when the other guardians tell each other that they really don't know much about Rocket's past, since he doesn't like to talk about it. So, they embark on an adventure to find what they need to save their dear friend at any cost and in the development of the story, we will meet new characters, we will know the origin of Rocket and we will also know the villainous mind behind all this, what is his plan and why he wants Rocket.

As I mentioned at the beginning, since the movie was released, thousands of comments were present praising how good it was, mentioning that it was one of the best superhero movies ever made, that it touched much darker themes than we are used to and that there were heartbreaking moments in the movie, I mean, it was a roller coaster of feelings, I mention all this because I want to talk point by point about each one of them.

Is the movie as good as many people say it is? I would say that it depends on the aspects that each person values, I mean, in visual aspects I think it is very good, it really is a film that is visually enjoyable, we know that much of the superhero movies are based on special effects and really in this one there is a great quality in them compared to other films that have left much to be desired. If we talk about the story, I also think it is very good, we are told a story that allows us to empathize much more with one of the most beloved characters of the Guardians and I think it has an incredible development after we know how he was before the experiment and having knowledge of how he is after it. As for the soundtrack, Guardians of the Galaxy has always been characterized by including many musical classics and always have the best soundtracks in their tapes and I would say that in this case is no exception, I would say that it contains a great selection for each moment and the way to include them as the plot progresses also gives certain indications, that's how powerful the soundtrack is. If we talk about the performances, I would say that we observe what we are used to in these films, a quite professional work that allows us to enjoy without doubts each character for their performances and giving us really life and realism to each of the characters, then, according to my criteria in which I value the film, it seems to me that those who say it is very good are absolutely right, I consider the same, is it the best superhero movie? I would say the same, it depends on the aspects, but my opinion is that no, but it easily enters a top 5.

Does it touch on very dark themes? We have to take into account all the previous films that have been presented to us, I would say that the themes they touch on are hard yes, but they go beyond the sentimental fiber rather than darker themes, I mean, the story that is presented to us ends up affecting us more because we connect in an emotional way and when we touch this fiber, we come to feel a certain emptiness to witness what a person (or I do not know how to call the villain) can be capable of just to achieve their goals and this is what we could consider darker, I would say that the darkest thing is the actions that are consciously taken and do not take into account the reactions that entails, of course, seeing this from a point of view in which the objectives are evil, because when the objectives are good this thought can vary a little, but I would say that it is a kind of gray field, it is neither black nor white, but beyond that, I think that other Marvel films have touched much darker things and that perhaps we overlooked them for not connecting emotionally as in this one.

Are the heartbreaking moments as strong as they say? I must say that I am someone who really enjoys watching movies that usually generate strong emotions, I have cried with hundreds of movies, but in this case I didn't, don't get me wrong, it really generated a lot of mixed emotions in the whole course of the movie, but I consider that my problem was, that reading so many comments (I come back and I repeat, without spoilers because I really didn't know anything about what happened in the movie) I was expecting something stronger, something that really left me emotionally shattered, but I came across things that were somewhat obvious from the beginning so I think that also played a role in not affecting me so much, in fact, I would say that I was more affected by beautiful scenes than those that many considered as heartbreaking, but that's a personal opinion.

In conclusion, I consider that so much hype really made my mind inflate the movie beyond what it is, I repeat, don't misunderstand me, the movie is excellent, very enjoyable and when you finish it, those two and a half hours you were sitting watching it fly away and you are left wanting more, I declare myself a fan of the movie without a doubt and I think it's perfect, but it was my fault to inflate it so much thanks to so many reviews, that's why I always like to see things as soon as I can and thus have a thought more in line with my first impressions, eye, opposite cases can also happen in which the reviews are bad and the film surprises you in a positive way, but that's another topic. If someone has not seen the movie yet and is reading this publication, don't let my opinion influence your perception of the movie, because at the end of the day all we have in common, those of us who saw the movie, is that we enjoyed it, so I invite you to see it, it's totally worth it.

El día de ayer por fin pude ver la película de Guardianes de la Galaxia vol. 3 y estoy consciente de que se han hecho muchas reseñas ya por aquí desde el día de su estreno, por lo que quiero profundizar más en mi opinión y en algo curioso que me sucedió al tener en cuenta la gran cantidad de comentarios positivos sobre la película, ¿puede esto influir en el cómo percibes la película una vez logras verla por tu cuenta? No es sorpresa para nadie que, en las películas de superhéroes, en su mayoría, la trama siempre es la misma, aparece un nuevo villano, los buenos deben salvar al mundo, hay pequeñas historias dentro de la principal que es lo que termina diferenciando una película de la otra, claramente esto es algo que menciono a grandes rasgos, en el caso de Guardianes de la Galaxia vol. 3 ocurre algo curioso, sí, hay un nuevo villano, pero los héroes en este caso no tratan de salvar al mundo, tratan de salvar a un amigo y esto ya aporta un lado mas emocional que nos enseña hacia donde se dirige la trama.

Les haré un resumen bastante simple de la trama sin spoilers para no alargarme tanto en esta parte y centrarme más en mi opinión. La película empieza con todo el equipo de los guardianes en sus asuntos, Quill parece estar deprimido aún por lo sucedido en las anteriores películas, aparece un nuevo villano o al menos eso se sospecha cuando empieza a atacar en busca de Rocket, este sale herido y la única forma de salvarle es con un código que seguramente el creador de Rocket tenga y es en ése preciso momento en que los demás guardianes se dicen entre ellos que realmente no conocen mucho sobre el pasado de Rocket, ya que a este no le gusta hablar sobre ello. Así, se embarcan en una aventura para encontrar aquello que necesitan para salvar a su querido amigo cueste lo que cueste y en el desarrollo de la historia, iremos conociendo nuevos personajes, sabremos el origen de Rocket y también conoceremos a la mente villana detrás de todo esto, cuál es su plan y el por qué quiere a Rocket.

Como mencionaba al principio, desde que la película se estrenó, miles de comentarios se hicieron presente alabando lo buena que era, mencionando que era una de las mejores películas de superhéroes que se habían hecho, que tocaba temas mucho más oscuros de lo que estamos acostumbrados y que había momentos desgarradores en la película, quiere decir, era una montaña rusa de sentimientos, menciono todo esto porque quiero hablar punto por punto de cada uno de ellos.

¿La película es tan buena como dice tanta gente? Diría que depende de los aspectos que valore cada persona, quiero decir, en aspectos visuales me parece muy buena, realmente es una película que se disfruta visualmente hablando, sabemos que mucho de las películas de superhéroes está basado en efectos especiales y realmente en ésta hay una gran calidad en ellos a comparación de otras cintas que han dejado mucho que desear. Sí hablamos de la historia, también me parece muy buena, nos cuentan una historia que nos permite empatizar mucho más con uno de los personajes más queridos de los guardianes y que considero tiene un desarrollo increíble después que se le conoce el cómo era antes del experimento y teniendo conocimiento del cómo es después del mismo. En cuanto a la banda sonora, Guardianes de la Galaxia siempre se ha caracterizado por incluir muchos clásicos musicales y tener siempre las mejores bandas sonoras en sus cintas y diría que en este caso no es la excepción, diría que contiene una gran selección para cada momento y la manera de incluirlas según avanza la trama también da ciertos indicios, así de poderosa es la banda sonora. Si hablamos de las actuaciones, diría que observamos a lo que estamos acostumbrados en estas cintas, un trabajo bastante profesional que nos permite disfrutar sin dudas de cada personaje por sus actuaciones y dándonos realmente vida y realismo a cada uno de los personajes, entonces, según mis criterios en que valoro la película, me parece que quienes dicen que es muy buena tienen toda la razón, considero lo mismo, ¿es la mejor película de superhéroes? Diría lo mismo, que depende según los aspectos, pero mi opinión es que no, pero entra fácilmente en un top 5.

¿Toca temas muy oscuros? Tenemos que tener en cuenta de todo lo previo que nos han presentado cintas anteriores, diría que los temas que tocan son duros sí, pero van más allá por la fibra sentimental que por temas más oscuros, quiero decir, la historia que se nos presenta nos termina afectando más porque conectamos de una manera emocional y cuando nos tocan esta fibra, llegamos a sentir cierto vació al presenciar de lo que puede ser capaz alguna persona (o no sé como llamarle al villano) sólo por conseguir sus metas y esto es lo que sí podríamos considerar más oscuro, esa sed que puede tener alguien que no le importe lo que tenga que hacer para lograr sus objetivos, diría que lo más oscuro son las acciones que de manera consciente se toman y no se toman en cuenta las reacciones que conlleven, claro, viendo esto desde un punto de vista en que los objetivos son malvados, porque cuando los objetivos son buenos puede variar un poco este pensamiento, pero diría que es una especie de campo gris, no es ni negro ni blanco, pero más allá de eso, creo que otras cintas de Marvel han tocado cosas mucho más oscuras y que quizás las pasamos por alto por no conectar de manera emocional como en esta.

¿Los momentos desgarradores son tan fuertes como dicen? Debo decir que soy alguien que disfruta mucho viendo películas que suelen generar emociones fuertes, he llorado con cientos de películas, pero en éste caso no lo hice, no me malentiendan, realmente me generó muchas emociones encontradas en todo el transcurso de la película, pero considero que mi problema fue, que al leer tantos comentarios (vuelvo y repito, sin spoilers porque realmente no sabía nada de lo que sucedía en la película) me esperaba algo más fuerte, algo que realmente me dejara destrozado emocionalmente, pero crucé con cosas que fueron un tanto obvias desde un principio por lo que creo que eso también jugó un papel en que no me afectaran tanto, es más, diría que más me afectaron escenas lindas que aquellas que muchos consideraron como desgarradoras, pero ya es una opinión personal.

En conclusión, considero que tanto hype realmente hizo que mi mente inflara la película más allá de lo que es, vuelvo y repito, no me malentiendan, la película es excelente, muy disfrutable y cuando la terminas, esas dos horas y media que estuviste sentado viéndola se va volando y quedas con ganas de más, yo me declaro fanático de la película sin lugar a dudas y me parece perfecta, pero fue culpa mía inflarla tanto gracias a tantas reseñas, por eso siempre me gusta ver las cosas lo más pronto que pueda y así tener un pensamiento más acorde a mis primeras impresiones, ojo, también pueden suceder casos opuestos en los que las criticas son malas y la película te sorprende de manera positiva, pero ya eso es otro tema. Si alguien no ha visto la película todavía y está leyendo esta publicación, no dejes que mi opinión influya en tu percepción de la película, porque a fin de cuentas todo lo que tenemos en común aquellos que vimos la película, es que la disfrutamos, por eso te invito a verla, vale totalmente la pena.
