Plot

After the events that happened at the end of "Spider-Man: Far From Home", everyone learns the secret identity of our hero, this being Peter Parker, due to the video leaked by Quentin Beck before he died revealing who Spider-Man really is and accusing him of his death. The chase begins just after the television program "The Clarion" revealed that video before the city where our hero is traveling with his beloved girlfriend, Michelle "MJ" Jones-Watson. Both are later questioned by the Department of Damage Control, along with his best friend Ned Leeds and his aunt May Parker. But, thanks to the work of the lawyer they hired, Matt Murdock (you know who he is), all the charges Peter had are dropped, although the negative media publicity doesn't stop, causing them to even affect the three of them by not being admitted to study at MIT.

Desperate about the situation, our protagonist Peter Parker goes to the Sanctum in New York where he meets Dr. Stephen Strange to ask him to help him go back in time to change what happened so that no one would ever find out his true identity. Stephen replies that he can not go back in time and that such action can cause many problems, but tells him that there is a spell that can make people forget who Peter Parker is and thus keep hidden his identity as Spider-Man. La persecución empieza justo después de que el programa de televisión “El Clarín” revelara dicho vídeo ante la ciudad donde se encuentra nuestro héroe viajando con su querida novia, Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson. Ambos son interrogados después por el Departamento de Control de Daños, junto con su mejor amigo Ned Leeds y su tía May Parker. After having seen almost every single superhero movie that Marvel Studios has released, from "Iron Man" to "Avengers: Endgame", in the last few years I have only seen a couple of movies, both of which are Spider-Man movies. And after the great ending they gave to the Infinity Saga, it made no sense to continue with the sequence of movies that this superhero franchise has released so far. That's not to mention the inclusion of the series, which personally were an exploitation of content by Marvel to try to meet the high demand they had. What happened after that is a mystery to no one, and is that you can see the low quality they have been having every product they launched, with crossovers and a multitude of new characters poorly developed and a lousy way of telling stories.

Of the little good that could be achieved from Marvel Studios since the pandemic to date is this third installment of Spider-Man, which gave a deserved closure to a stage and a story that many of us expected to see it finished. While it is true that the great success it had was thanks to the great "Fanservice" they put in it, giving us one of the most requested and expected crossovers of a whole generation, it is also true that Marvel and Sony listened to the complaints and criticisms they received from the previous two installments. And if we all agree on something is the fact that Tom Holland's Spider-Man is not the best we have seen on the big screen, and this is made clear here, but it is also true that this is the Peter Parker who has had more development, seeing how this story ends.

Luego de haber visto casi todas y cada una de las películas de superhéroes que Marvel Studios ha sacado, desde “Iron Man” hasta “Avengers: Endgame”, en estos últimos años solo he visto un par de películas, las cuales ambas son de Spider-Man. Y es que después del gran final que le dieron a la Saga del Infinito, no le conseguí sentido seguir con la secuencia de películas que esta franquicia de superhéroes ha lanzado hasta el momento. Eso sin mencionar la inclusión de las series, las cuales personalmente fueron una explotación de contenido por parte de Marvel para intentar cumplir con la alta demanda que tenían. Lo que sucedió después no es un misterio para nadie, y es que se ve la baja calidad que han estado teniendo cada producto que lanzaba, con crossovers y multitud de personajes nuevos poco desarrollados y una pésima forma de contar historias.

De lo poco bueno que se pudo llegar a conseguir de Marvel Studios desde la pandemia hasta la fecha está esta tercera entrega de Spider-Man, la cual le dió un cierre merecido a una etapa y una historia que ya muchos esperábamos ver por finalizado. Si bien es cierto que el gran éxito que tuvo fue gracias al gran “Fanservice” que le metieron, dándonos uno de los crossovers más pedidos y esperados de toda una generación, también es cierto que Marvel y Sony escucharon las quejas y críticas que recibieron de las anteriores dos entregas. Y es que si en algo estamos todos de acuerdo es en el hecho de que el Spider-Man de Tom Holland no es el mejor que hemos visto en la pantalla grande, y esto lo deja claro aquí, pero también es cierto que este es el Peter Parker que más desarrollo ha tenido, al ver cómo termina esta historia.

But this is not what bothers him the most, but the fact that because of him his partner and friends can not fulfill their dreams of studying at one of the best universities in the country. This leads him to take a somewhat risky decision, which shows us how incredulous he still is by always looking for a quick fix instead of thinking about the consequences. His immaturity is further reflected at the moment Doctor Stephen Strange cast the spell (which I won't say more so as not to cause Spoilers).

The development of Peter Parker throughout this movie is one of the most interesting we can find, giving us an ending that is simply sublime and deserved. On the other hand, the participation and appearance of other characters that surely you already know who they are caused this movie to be a complete success. But what stands out the most to me among all the characters and villains are two in particular, which are Doctor Otto Octavius (Dr. Octopus) and the Green Goblin. These were, for me, the best villains to appear in this movie (especially the Green Goblin). Alfred and Willem stood out, as always, in this movie proving to be like two sides of the same coin, two great villains, the first one being because of an accident and the other because of the desire to be the strongest. And of course, the "character development" that the Green Goblin gave to Spider-Man in this movie is the most shocking and interesting thing we can find in this movie as well.

Hablemos de Peter Parker (Spider-Man), el cual luego de la filtración que hizo Quentin Beck donde les reveló al mundo su verdadera identidad, este ahora se enfrenta a una lucha que no puede conseguir solo, siendo esta las múltiples acusaciones que todo el mundo tienen hacia él por ser un supuesto asesino de un supuesto héroe. Pero esto no es lo que más le molesta, sino el hecho de que por culpa de él su pareja y amigos no puedan cumplir con sus sueños de estudiar en una de las mejores universidades del país. Esto lo lleva a tomar una decisión un tanto arriesgada, lo cual nos muestra lo incrédulo que sigue siendo al buscar siempre una solución rápida en vez de pensar en las consecuencias de ello. Su inmadurez se ve más reflejado al momento de que el Doctor Stephen Strange realizó el hechizo (lo cual no voy a decir más para no causar Spoilers).

El desarrollo de Peter Parker durante toda esta película es de lo más interesante que podemos encontrar, dándonos un final que es simplemente sublime y merecido. Por otro lado, la participación y aparición de otros personajes que seguramente suponen ya quienes son causaron que esta película fuera un completo éxito. Pero lo que más me llama la atención de entre todos los personajes y villanos son dos en particular, los cuales son el Doctor Otto Octavius (Dr. Octopus) y el Duende Verde. Estos fueron, para mí, los mejores villanos que aparecieron en esta película (sobre todo el Duende Verde). Alfred y Willem se destacaron, como siempre, en esta película demostrando ser como dos caras de una misma moneda, dos grandes villanos, siendo el primero por causa de un accidente y el otro por el deseo de ser el más fuerte. Y claro, el “desarrollo de personaje” que le dió el Duende Verde a Spider-Man en esta película es lo más impactante e interesante que podemos encontrar también en esta película.

While it didn't have the best story you can find from a superhero movie, including the multiverse and parallel dimensions theme, the decision making and the way it unfolds doesn't completely convince me. Anyway, what I do admit I was quite impressed with were both the special effects, CGI and sound effects, which are so well done that the film received several nominations for it. In the end, all negative criticism aside, this movie made history and that is something that should not be denied. With excellent scenes, unforgettable battles and a good mix of humor with drama and action; this movie is one of those few good things that Marvel Studios has to offer nowadays. It is not one of the best Spider-Man movies you can find, in my opinion (taking into account that it is the most successful only because of the crossover it has and the nostalgia and impact it had on the public at the time), but it is a movie that I highly recommend if you are a fan of this great hero in his best versions.

Personally, I give it a 9/10 rating as far as the action, science fiction and superhero genre is concerned.

Si bien no es que tuviera la mejor historia que se pueda encontrar de una película de superhéroes, incluyendo el tema del multiverso y las dimensiones paralelas, la toma de decisiones y la forma en la que esta se desarrolla no me convence por completo. En fin, lo que sí admito que me impresionó bastante fueron tanto los efectos especiales, el CGI y los efectos de sonido, los cuales están tan bien hechos que la película recibió varias nominaciones por ello. Al final, quitando toda la crítica negativa, esta película hizo historia y es algo que no hay que negar. Con excelentes escenas, batallas inolvidables y una buena mezcla de humor con drama y acción; esta cinta es una de esas pocas cosas buenas que tiene Marvel Studios para ofrecer actualmente. No es de las mejores películas de Spider-Man que puedas encontrar, opino yo (tomando en cuenta que es la más exitosa únicamente por el crossover que tiene y la nostalgia e impacto que esta obtuvo ante el público en su momento), pero sí es una película que recomiendo bastante si eres fanático de este gran héroe en sus mejores versiones.

Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 9/10 en lo que respecta al género de acción, ciencia ficción y superhéroes.
