I like old movies very much, I especially enjoy those works classified as cult and try to appreciate what are the qualities that elevate it to such a status. Today I am commenting on a film that some point out as overly sentimental, which may be cloying to some. However, the story conveys a message of hope and gratitude, and is also very entertaining.

I live in Venezuela and although here we also hear and sing Christmas carols (as in the film), what predominates as a musical tradition are the aguinaldos that generally tell us about the birth of Baby Jesus.

We also get together as a family and make Christmas decorations, some of us put up a Christmas tree, others recreate the birth of Jesus Christ in a manger, and even both can be done at the same time, sharing as a family with a lot or little food, reconciling ourselves with life and even with ourselves.
