The beginning of this review may be very romantic, but believe me you won't regret watching this movie if you dare to gamble after reading my perspective on it. I managed to pay my Netflix bill and the first thing I did was to see what films were trending in Venezuela. This was one of them, I didn't read any previous information, I didn't even visualize the tab, I selected it randomly and I got one of the most incredible surprises every time it played. unexpected? It is.

I'll start by specifying the composition of the story which is of Danish origin, that is, from Denmark. The coloring in the images of the film has something that sets it apart from American productions, it is as if a unique nostalgia permeates it and conjugates the pure essence of a place from the old European continent. Something incredible is that the film possesses its own essence, its own structure and makes it different from some cliché and insipid plots I have seen on Netflix.

The plot of the plot is very solid, it doesn't possess excesses and is very congruent. I liked that part, there is not a lot going on, there are no excesses and no craziness either. There is a minimalist composition in the film that captivates, and for some reason makes you intermingle very well with it. On the one hand, you see a protagonist who works as a fisherman, who is also an ordinary person in a small European country who starts an adventure he never imagined because he has an incredible gift: Singing and composing.

That is also shown in a very simple way in the plot, although it is not exactly the focal point of the story. This makes the composition interesting and striking. It gives it a powerful touch of essence that draws the viewer in.

Puede que el inicio de esta reseña sea muy romántico, pero créame que no se arrepentirá de ver esta película si se atreve a apostar luego de leer mi perspectiva sobre ella. Logré pagar mi cuenta en Netflix y lo primero que hice fue ver qué films estaban en tendencia en Venezuela. Esta era una de ellas, no leí ninguna información previa, no visualicé ni siquiera la ficha, la seleccioné al azar y me llevé una de las sorpresas más increíbles cada vez que se reproducía. ¿Inesperado? Lo es.

Empezaré por precisar la composición de la historia que es de origen danés, es decir, de Dinamarca. La coloración en las imágenes del film tiene algo que le diferencia de las producciones estadounidenses, es como si se permeara en ella una nostalgia única y se conjugara la esencia pura de un lugar del viejo continente europeo. Algo increíble es que el film posee su propia esencia, su propia estructura y le hace diferente de algunas tramas cliché e insípidas que he visto en Netflix.

El argumento de la trama es muy sólido, no posee excesos y es muy congruente. Me gustó esa parte, no hay muchas cosas, no hay desmanes y tampoco locuras. Existe una composición minimalista en el film que cautiva, y por alguna razón hace entremezclarte muy bien con él. Por un lado, vez a un protagonista que trabaja como pescador, quien además es una persona común en un pequeño país europeo que comienza una aventura que no se imaginaba debido a que posee un don increíble: Cantar y componer.

Las habilidades humanas pueden ayudar y pueden cambiar la vida de una persona. Lo único necesario es tener la oportunidad de compartirlo con un equipo que haga relucir ese talento, es decir, que lo expanda al mundo. Eso también se muestra de una manera muy simple en la trama, aunque no es exactamente el punto focal de la historia. Esto hace que la composición sea interesante y llamativa. Le da un toque de esencia poderoso que atrae al espectador.

To be exact, she is the kind of woman I would fall in love with: she is reluctant, professional, beautiful, has black hair, independent, sensual and also has that something that attracts. I'll leave this open, really the character of actress Inga Ibsdotter is gorgeous. Something that I also found extraordinary is that the personality she played does not possess those common schemes of other romantic stories, rather, the approach was to show a very mature, sensitive woman, with a pain embedded in her chest and who was willing to open up to someone. Was that someone from the beginning open to conquer her? Again, the answer will not be written by me. You must see the film.

Lirio is a beautiful, talented producer who now possesses the challenge of making Elliott (Christopher) famous. Changing the main character's lifestyle is Lirio's biggest challenge, but the truth is that even though she was reluctant seduction, desire and connection began to emerge little by little. In what way? The attraction compacted by the look.

The way the romance is composed is so mature. To be a little more precise it is a different relationship, it has those captivating scenes where you feel the romance and love of both characters, but not overstepping the limits: There are no sex scenes, the nudity is casual and the relationship between the two characters does not break any of the terms of a couple with a mature vision. I believe that the film was focused on generating this harmony. Seeing this, or rather feeling it, I can affirm that it is the most attractive thing about this production.

Algo que me pareció increíble es como se manejó el tema del drama y el romance. En efecto, el drama se siente, el temor del fracaso, la crítica de las personas y también la frustración de no poder ir más allá. En la trama se muestra muy bien como el protagonista siente miedo… ¿Qué clase de miedo? La respuesta se entremezcla con el romance, pero uno que no es excesivo. Más bien, diría que es muy equilibrado.

En este punto, debo decir que me enamoré del personaje que interpretó Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas: Lirio. Para ser exacto, es el tipo de mujer de la cual me enamoraría: Es reacia, profesional, hermosa, tiene cabello negro, independiente, sensual y también tiene ese algo que atrae. Dejaré esto abierto, realmente el personaje de la actriz Inga Ibsdotter es precioso. Algo que también me pareció extraordinario es que la personalidad que interpretó no posee esos esquemas comunes de otras historias románticas, más bien, el enfoque fue mostrar una mujer muy madura, sensible, con un dolor incrustado en su pecho y que estaba dispuesta abrirse a alguien. ¿Ese alguien estuvo desde el principio abierto a conquistarla? Lirio es una productora hermosa, talentosa y que ahora posee el reto de volver a Elliott (Christopher) famoso. Cambiar el estilo de vida del personaje principal es el mayor reto de Lirio, pero la verdad es que a pesar de que fue reacia la seducción, el deseo y la conexión comenzó a surgir poco a poco. ¿De qué forma? La atracción compacta por la mirada.

La forma en que se compone el romance es tan madura. Para ser un poco más preciso es una relación diferente, tiene esas escenas cautivadoras donde se siente el romance y el amor de ambos personajes, pero no sobrepasando los limites: No hay escenas de sexo, el desnudo es casual y la relación entre los dos personajes no rompe ninguno de los términos de una pareja con una visión madura. Yo creo que el film estuvo enfocado en generar esta armonía. Al ver esto o mejor dicho sentirlo puedo afirmar que es lo más atractivo de esta producción.

Una de las que más me gustaron es esta: A Beautiful Life, es el mismo título del Film. La letra de la canción es increíble, resume toda la trama en un par de minutos de manera emocional.

La canción sin lugar a dudas es emotiva, el mismo Elliott la canta en un momento impresionante en la historia a Lirio. Me gustó mucho esa escena y el mensaje que posee sobre el valor de la familia. Espero que puedas reproducir la canción y disfrutar lo increíble que es.
