Netflix has gone for a new Live Action, and the truth is that the plot of the eight-episode The Last Airbender has favorable points that cause or provoke you to watch it. I will initially disagree with my friend @soldierofdreams about the fact that the series is a failure and is totally bad. This consideration I will argue here little by little. I also can't deny that there are elements that are not good, but the series is not a total failure.

For as long as I can remember, I have read thousands of manga and manhwas and watched a lot of anime of different genres. Avatar is no exception, and I want to highlight the magic of the story that Netflix decided to bring to the screens.

The first element I must highlight is the "Universe", The story divides the world into four big Nations: Air, Water, Earth and Fire. Each of these nations was aesthetically very well crafted. The photography is good, the scenery is all too realistic, and the science fiction is of very high quality. You don't need to be told which nation is the Air or Water Nation, you'll be able to tell just by looking at it.

Another feature of this overly realistic universe are iconic anime figures, such as Appa the flying bison from Avatar Aang. Appa's adaptation is perfect; he is beautiful and feels real. Yes, you feel his fur, and you feel like you're flying over him. The same goes for Momo (a kind of winged lemur), who is notable in the story for his kindness and mischief. Both animals, which are very important characters in the story, were developed very well. The work is impeccable.

El primer elemento que debo resaltar es el “Universo”, la historia divide al mundo en cuatro grandes Naciones: Aire, Agua, Tierra y Fuego. Cada una de estas naciones fue estéticamente muy bien elaborada. La fotografía es pulcra, el escenario es demasiado realista y la ciencia ficción es de muy alta calidad. No es necesario que te digan cuál es la Nación del Aire o Agua, lo notarás simplemente al verlo.

Otra de las características de éste universo demasiado realista son figuras icónicas del anime, cómo lo es Appa el bisonte volador del Avatar Aang. La adaptación de Appa es perfecta, es hermosa y se siente real. Sí, sientes su pelaje y que estás volando encima de él. Lo mismo sucede con Momo (una especie de lémur alado) que es notable en la historia por su bondad y travesuras. Ambos animales, que son personajes importantísimos en la historia, fueron desarrollados muy bien. El trabajo es impecable.

That makes it connect with the viewer.

Although, in the moments where actor Gordon Cormier smiles, you get a glimpse of the anime's Aang; however, there is an over-emphasis on maturity that the character doesn't originally possess.

Would you recommend the series? I would; it's a very well-crafted series that retains a high degree of identity from the original story. In particular, I didn't plan to watch it because I didn't have high expectations, but I liked the universe, and I'm looking forward to the second season to see how Netflix recreates Ba Sing Se (the capital of the Earth Kingdom Nation) and the great library of Wan Shi Tong.
