There is a palpable tension that manages to consolidate an atmosphere of permanent uncertainty due to a rich narrative and somewhat solid special effects (I say this because they are convincing for the film adaptation technology of the time).

Es sorprendente que éste film muestre patrones de contagios similares al del coronavirus, y una expansión tan rápida en una sociedad Cosmopolitan. El virus se expande en una de las ciudades más cercanas a la capital, Seul; es decir, el distrito de Bundang-gu, ubicado en la ciudad de Seongnam.

La impresionante manera en que el virus hace colapsar la estructura de la ciudad, provoca muertes masivas y el gobierno central se ve obligado a declarar una cuarentena, es increíble. Hay una tensión palpable que logra consolidar una atmósfera de permanente incertidumbre debido a una rica narrativa y efectos especiales algo sólidos (digo esto porque son convincentes para la tecnología de adaptación filmográfica de la época).

El film posee historias propias y no sólo se enfoca en la expansión del virus. Por lo que se presenta un buen desarrollo de los personajes principales. ¿Todo es perfecto? No. Existen algunos detalles desfavorables que son poco creíbles; o sea, que sucedan en la realidad. Aunque Flu no es una película de terror, es un perfecto thriller de ciencia ficción para disfrutar esta semana.

Las calamidades humanas y en entornos urbanos siempre son agradables debido al mensaje poderoso que emiten. Aunque siempre termina siendo una lástima que el final se vuelva predecible.

He is a federal agent of the United States of America, and he is dedicated to rescuing children enslaved by human traffickers. Yes, the protagonist fights against the deep state and the dark mafias of society.

The story is moving because it manages to convey each of the desires of parents who lose and wish to find their children. It also shows a reality that we have all heard, read in the news and newspapers, but never seen or felt. Human trafficking and modern slavery are a real practices where a group of beasts profit by destroying the innocence of the weakest.

Sound of Freedom es un film que llamó fuertemente la atención el año pasado por su argumentación y guion sobre la trata de menores. La película es dramática, pero al verla hay varias cosas que técnicamente me parecieron insuficientes. Esperaba un poco más, pero es un film que perfectamente puedes ver para reflexionar sobre el valor de la vida.

En perspectiva, Sound of Freedom es un rescate que conmueve y te atrapa, te sumerge y eriza la piel debido a que es basada en hechos reales. Tim Ballard es el protagonista de esta historia. Él es un agente federal de los estados unidos de Norteamérica y se dedica a rescatar niños esclavizados por traficantes de personas. Sí, el protagonista lucha contra el Estado profundo y las mafias oscuras de la sociedad.

La historia es conmovedora porqué logra transmitir cada uno de los deseos de los padres que pierden y desean encontrar a sus hijos. Igualmente, muestra una realidad que todos hemos escuchado, leído en una noticia y periódico; pero nunca visto o sentido. La trata de personas y la esclavitud moderna son una práctica real donde un grupo de bestias se lucran destruyendo la inocencia de los más débiles.

Jim Caviezel's performance as Tim Ballard stands out favorably. There is a strong identity that connects with his desire to save every oppressed child. The cast that makes up the film is noticeably carefully chosen, and each performance is very solid. There is a high level of depth to each character and the plot.

A pesar de que estos films poseen géneros distintos, ambos poseen una particularidad en común: La lucha contra un mal mayor. Evidentemente desde un tipo de abordaje distinto.

En el caso, de Flu existe una amenaza global que puede exterminar a toda la población surcoreana y poner en riesgo el planeta Tierra. Cada escena hace reflexionar sobre la vulnerabilidad humana, el valor de la vida y la importancia de la medicina.

Por el contrario, Sound of Freedom dilucida una realidad cruda que desgarra cada una de las emociones humanas hasta el punto de conmoverte y hacerte llorar.

Ambas producciones incitan a enfrentar los aspectos oscuros de nuestra sociedad. Sí, hasta el punto de convertirlo en una obligación para preservar nuestros valores humanos. Son films totalmente diferentes, pero el valor de la esperanza, la libertad, la solidaridad y la lucha por un trato justo son parte de su argumentación y mensaje cifrado.
