I must start from the beginning. I paid for my Prime Video subscription again, just to see this production and two others that happen to be released in the next few days. The main reason I wanted to see The Idea of You was because of Anne Hathaway and the romance that the story depicts. This romance is unique because of several elements.

Anne Hathaway plays the character of a 40-year-old woman named Solène, who doesn't look that old. She is extremely attractive, energetic and elegant. You quickly connect with the character because of how open she is.

One thing I must highlight is the emotional volatility of Anne's performance. I was impressed to see how she expressed her pain by telling me everything she went through when she got divorced. That moment is a masterpiece; the words, the features and the human emotion she conveys are unique. A dramatic scene with an emotional, critical moment is very well crafted.

Also, I must emphasize that Nicholas Galitzine impresses you as Anne Hathaway's partner. I think they fit together very well. Nicholas plays the character of Hayes, ironically a character created from the alter ego of Harry Styles (one of my favorite artists). At first, you can sense Hayes' attraction to Solène; you can even tell it's a play on someone very young with an older woman. However, this is gradually peeled away.

Algo que debo destacar es la volatilidad emocional de la actuación de Anne. Quedé impresionado al ver cómo ella expresaba su dolor al contar todo lo que pasó ella al divorciarse. Ése momento es una obra maestra, las palabras, las facciones y la emoción humana que transmite es única. Una escena dramática con un momento emotivo, crítico, muy bien elaborado.

Igualmente, debo resaltar que Nicholas Galitzine te impresiona como pareja de Anne Hathaway. Creo que encajan muy bien. Nicholas interpreta el personaje de Hayes, irónicamente un personaje creado del alter ego de Harry Styles (uno de mis artistas favoritos). Al principio se puede percibir la atracción de Hayes por Solène, incluso se puede notar que es un juego de alguien muy joven con una mujer mayor. No obstante, esto se va desprendiendo poco a poco.

En The Idea of You se desprende de todas estas producciones y deja por sentado su experiencia actoral. Se nota más reflexivo, incluso sufre por el amor que todos critican.

El mensaje es contundente, las masas sociales aprueban la infidelidad de los hombres con mujeres jóvenes. Detestan las relaciones de mujeres mayores con hombres menores que ellas. Esto me recordó a la telenovela mexicana Victoria, una mujer millonaria que se divorcia y en la partición de bienes no le queda nada (su exesposo traspasó sus bienes a otra persona antes del divorcio). Se enamora de alguien más joven y vuelve a salir adelante, pero la brecha de la edad es algo que no se puede borrar. La crítica a Victoria es aplastante y desmoralizadora. Otro aspecto que destaca es lo que significa ser madre. Tener un hijo tiene una razón de ser y por encima de muchas cosas está su felicidad, su tranquilidad, procesos y lo que él requiere para poder disfrutar sus momentos. Eso lo entiende Solène, una mujer que es moderna, libre, divertida y madre.

(c) escenas: existen escenas con actuaciones dramáticas, críticas y con un mensaje poderoso.

Sin lugar a dudas, es una de las mejores producciones románticas de este 2024, muestra la indecisión, destaca la vergüenza de Solène como protagonista por salir con un hombre de casi 20 años más joven que ella y el padecimiento de la vida de un artista sometido al escarnio público.

Finalmente, me gustó mucho ver en algunas coreografías de la banda, movimientos de BTS, sólo los fans notaremos la sutileza de esos elementos que tomaron y llevaron a la pantalla. En algunas poses resalta el estilo de Jungkook, claro, nunca cómo él al 100%.
