Major Plot Flaw in Assassin's Creed (2016)
This movie was inspired by a video game, and the strong points were the costume, setting, and premise.
The mission of finding a secret through a descendant's DNA using revolutionary technology was a great idea/premise.
The fight scenes and the amount of action was good enough too for an action movie.
Also Michael Fassbender is always a great lead.
But...
The Flaw
They ruined it with one big mistake.
The descendants of a group called The Templars were trying to find the Apple of Eden which was kept by another group called The Assassins.
The Templars' descendants built a lab and a sort of camp for captured Assassin descendants and overtime had gotten a lot of information from them using some new revolutionary technology.
Then at last they found the most important descendant they needed in order to find out the exact location of the apple. After getting some information from this descendant at the lab he needed to rest a while before they continue with the rest of the information, and while resting they let him spend time with the other captured Assassin descendants.
As soon as he got to spend time with the other descendants they other descendants started convincing him not to let the final parts of the information out.
And that was crazy because there's no logical explanation for letting him spend time with the other descendants when they were almost done arriving at the final information.
The other descendants were surely going to make him not to cooperate anymore or at least try to make him not to cooperate. How could they have risked it by letting him spend time with them as if it was nothing?
Since he was tired and needed to rest it didn't mean he had to go rest with the other descendants in a place where they were not properly monitored but allowed to talk about whatever they wanted however they wanted.
It would have taken nothing to keep him away from the others. So how could they have let him be with the others when they were already this close to getting the final info?
And sure enough that was what ruined everything for the Templars. That was too cheap.
It was just crazy that they got this descendant who didn't know much of their plans and who was very cooperatie and half way into getting what they want from him they let him go stay with the other unruly guys.
The story clearly wanted something to ruin his cooperation and bring upon chaos, but there are so many other things they could have come up with other than that.
If this last descent's unruliness came from some other reason the plot would have been a lot more tight and logical.
Later on there wasn't even any regret on the side of the Templars for letting that guy hang with the unruly ones, the entire story made it look like letting him hang with the other guys was nothing. Like how in the hell, guys? 🤦🏾♂️
End.
Meanwhile, I'll still like to see if anyone can find a plot flaw in my novel, published by Danish publisher Jabopress:
Hi there, my novella Professor Otagburuagu just got published. It promises to be thoroughly entertaining and intellectually stimulating. Written by myself and illustrated by Scandinavian artist @katharsisdrill. You can get it from me for just 4 HBD.
You can also order the hard copy from anywhere in the world via this link:

Thank you!
Thank you very much! 🤗
You're welcome
Lol. You're big on spotting the flaws, aren't you. I only know this as a game, though. I didn't think there was a movie. But I get what you're trying to say from your review. Seems like a decent enough film to watch in any case. Thanks for sharing!🌺
Yeah, I'm big on plot flaws. They're the biggest problem with movies, stories that don't add up at some points 🥲
