These days, I’ve come to realise that I’m making little to no time for my rest. At the end of everyday, I end up just falling asleep because I’m so exhausted. As a movie lover now, I should be seeing some movies during my free time and that’s what I decided to do on a not so busy weekend like this.

My movie preferences these days have all of a sudden moved from romantic and action movies to horror like movies. I’m not one to see gory movies but I guess I just happen to find myself watching them out of nowhere. Mostly, I don’t finish because I don’t like the scenes but for the one I saw today, I saw it till the very end and I bet you’d love it also.

THE PLOT

Ever imagine yourself trying to do good only for it all to bounce back into your face and those you thought trusted you didn’t seem to take your side anymore. That is the situation Detective Jae-hwan happened to find himself. For a while, there had been a lot of killings going on and with this, everyone was scared to step out of their homes. As it should he, the protection agencies were always on the lookout to catch such killers. Jae-Hwan who was a dedicated detective was hell bent on catching these serial killers.

One day, he received a tip about a killing and he asks his subordinate Min-Seong Kim to take the lead to the supposed site while he made his way there. He arrived only to find Min-Seong Kim who was not only his subordinate but his brother in law dead. This event further fueled detective Jae-Hwan to find these killers as more killings were going on. Another tip led him to Serial killerJin-Hyuk who was on the run from a crime scene and the turn of events weren’t very good.

Apparently, this detective found himself in a weird situation with this serial killer and went into hiding with him just to get information out of him but this serial killer wouldn’t budge. So, at the end of the day, he had to resort to sedating him like was done during wars to get information out of people. In the process, he took a huge step to even make the serial killer think he was the detective and they had swapped bodies just so he could get those he was working with. Things worked his way until the serial killer came to his senses on one particular mission.

Not trying to blow his cover, the serial killer still acted like he was the detective and eventually things went sideways and they got into an fight. At the end of the day, the serial killer manages to sedate the detective and makes him think he is the serial killer. Now, would the other police officers and detectives believe their fellow detective or the serial killer on their identity at gunpoint? You’d have to find out.

MY THOUGHTS AND RATING

I’ve been seeing a lot of single Korean movies these days and this one just hit different for me. The scenes weren’t really my thing but the plot was good. For a minute I was also convinced by the turn of events until I came to understand everything. The whole twist was one worth the wait.

I’d rate this movie a 9/10 because it was fire and I’d recommend it to anyone out there. I hope you love it!
