Figures like André the Giant are often perceived as isolated phenomena, limited to the field of sports entertainment. Wrestling has a dedicated audience, but not everyone follows it, and such personalities only get to be known in a small circle. Often, people with exceptional features—either physically or through their achievements—are integrated into modern mythologies or compared to legendary characters.

In a way, we can say that André was a "giant" not only in size, but also in his presence in pop culture. He managed to get out of the ring and become a memorable figure in movies and in the collective imagination. The HBO documentary about his life highlights this duality: on the one hand, a symbol of strength and greatness, on the other hand, a man who faced real difficulties due to his condition.

The problem is that there are other personalities who, due to exceptional traits, have been pushed towards mythology or underestimated...Curiosities will remain over time... curiosities that can be lost over time (not us, but future generations will perceive them completely differently)
