Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post bastante chévere recomendándoles otras tres películas terror. Hace unas semanas hice un post mencionándoles películas de terror que vi con mi novio y me gustaron mucho (pueden leer dicho post aquí), les comenté que él y yo hemos visto muchas películas de terror geniales y otras no tanto, sin embargo decidimos enlistar las que nos gustaron para poder recordarlas ya que valen la pena recordarlas. Hay muchas películas de terror de muchos estilos, aunque en mi caso es difícil conseguir una que personalmente me dé miedo considerando que soy algo miedosa, sin embargo los filmes que de los que les hablaré son otras tres películas que considero muy buenas y que cumplen su objetivo de dar miedo, comencemos!
Hello again! Today I come with a pretty cool post recommending you three more horror movies. A few weeks ago I did a post mentioning horror movies that I saw with my boyfriend and I really liked (you can read that post here), I told you that he and I have seen many great horror movies and others not so much, however we decided to list the ones we liked so we can remember them since they are worth remembering. There are many horror movies of many styles, although in my case it is difficult to get one that personally scares me considering that I am somewhat fearful, however the films that I will talk about are three other films that I consider very good and that fulfill their goal of being scary, let's go!
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐤
A esta película le hice un post hace tiempo ya que me pareció tan pero tan buena que merecía su propio post. Esta es una película australiana estrenada en el año 2014, y narra la historia de una madre llamada Amelia y su hijo Samuel. Amelia tiene que cuidar sola a su hijo debido a la muerte de su esposo, el cual tuvo un fatal accidente el día en el que ella iba a dar a luz. Samuel es un niño bastante excéntrico, le gusta mucho la magia y hacer armas caseras con el objetivo de derrotar a un monstruo supuestamente imaginario. Amelia la tiene muy difícil con su hijo ya que tiene problemas de conducta lo cual afecta su desempeño escolar y además, es muy insistente con la existencia del monstruo. Una noche Amelia le lee a Samuel el libro de Mr Babadook, que narra ser un monstruo del que nadie puede escapar una vez que se le conoce.
La lectura de dicho cuento intensifica la creencia de Samuel de la existencia de ese monstruo, expresando que Babadook es lo que los asecha a ambos. A partir de ahí comienzan a suceder cosas muy raras y a lo largo del filme, notamos que la existencia de dicho monstruo es más compleja de lo que creemos. La considero una de las mejores películas de terror que he visto debido a que ese inmersiva tanto por las reacciones de los personajes como el ambiente que nos muestra, es profunda e inteligente, llega a lo más profundo de nuestra mente que nos genera una sensación de miedo e incomodidad. Cuando la terminé de ver les juro que me costó salir de la cama para ir al baño del miedo que me produjo.
I made a post about this movie a while ago because I thought it was so good that it deserved its own post. This is an Australian film released in 2014, and tells the story of a mother named Amelia and her son Samuel. Amelia has to take care of her son alone due to the death of her husband, who had a fatal accident the day she was going to give birth. Samuel is a very eccentric boy, he likes magic and making homemade weapons in order to defeat a supposedly imaginary monster. Amelia has a very difficult time with her son since he has behavioral problems which affects his school performance and he is also very insistent about the existence of the monster. One night Amelia reads Samuel the book of Mr. Babadook, who claims to be a monster that no one can escape from once he is known.
The story's reading intensifies Samuel's belief in the existence of the monster, expressing that Babadook is what haunts them both. From that point on, strange things begin to happen and throughout the film, we realize that the monster's existence is more complex than we think. I consider it one of the best horror movies I've seen because it is immersive both for the reactions of the characters and the environment it shows us, it is deep and intelligent, it reaches the depths of our mind that generates a sense of fear and discomfort. When I finished watching it, I swear it was hard for me to get out of bed to go to the bathroom because of the fear it produced in me.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐞
Esta película británica de 2016 comienza mostrando que se encuentran el cadaver no identificado de una joven en una escena de crimen de un aparente asesinato sangriento. Los protagonistas son los forenses y a la vez padre e hijo; Austin quien es el hijo y Tommy, el padre y principal forense de la ciudad. Ambos son los encargados de hacer la autopsia y debido a que el sheriff necesita la causa de muerte para el día siguiente, Austin cancela sus planes con su novia para más tarde luego de hacer la autopsia. El cadáver tiene el nombre de Jane Doe ya que no está identificado, y ya desde el principio de la evaluación del cuerpo todo se torna raro. Aunque parece no haber signos de violencia el cuerpo tenía huesos rotos, la lengua cortada, y los órganos internos quemados o cortados, todo muy raro.
Además mientras hacen la autopsia comienzan a ocurrir cosas muy raras, como que comienza una tormenta, la radio no funciona bien y encuentran a su gato en el conducto de la ventilación. A medida que van avanzando en la autopsia van descubriendo cosas muy extrañas van aumentando la cantidad de cosas raras que pasan en el entorno, asustando a los escépticos padre e hijo sobre todo lo que ocurre. Esta película es progresiva, todo lo que va ocurriendo es poco a poco y hace que el miedo se produzca de manera gradual, lo cual hace que la película logre su cometido. Aunque no me dio así mucho miedo (sí medio, pero no a nivel de no poder ir al baño jaja), admito que me dejó una sensación extraña y la considero una buena película.
This 2016 British film begins by showing that the unidentified corpse of a young woman is found at a crime scene of an apparent bloody murder. The main characters are the coroners and both father and son; Austin who is the son and Tommy, the father and chief coroner of the town. Both are in charge of doing the autopsy and because the sheriff needs the cause of death for the next day, Austin cancels his plans with his girlfriend for later after the autopsy is done. The body has the name Jane Doe as it is unidentified, and already from the beginning of the evaluation of the body everything becomes strange. Although there appear to be no signs of violence, the body had broken bones, a severed tongue, and burned or cut internal organs, all very strange.
Also while doing the autopsy strange things start to happen, like a storm starts, the radio doesn't work properly and they find their cat in the ventilation duct. As they progress through the autopsy they discover more and more strange things happening in the environment, scaring the skeptical father and son about everything that happens. This film is progressive, everything that happens is little by little and makes the fear happen gradually, which makes the film achieve its goal. Although it didn't scare me that much (yes medium, but not to the level of not being able to go to the bathroom haha), I admit it left me with a weird feeling and I rate it as a good movie.
𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫
Esta película la vi por primera vez con una amiga cuando era adolescente y cuando la vi de nuevo de verdad me gustó. Esta película de terror británica de 2012 comienza mostrando un video aparentemente en formato casero de una aparente familia bajo un arbol con bolsas en la cabeza y cuerdas atadas a sus cuellos, donde un desconocido corta la rama lo cual hace que se eleven y mueran todos ahorcados. Luego de ello conocemos a Ellison Oswalt, el cual se muda junto con su familia a la casa donde ocurrió lo del video del comienzo, ya que para escribir sus libros se basa en crímenes reales. Nuestro protagonista consigue un proyector en el ático de casa junto con varios videos caseros de formato super 8 y cada una tiene títulos específicos, entre esos videos esta el de los ahorcamientos. Ellison comienza a ver dichos videos y descubre que son distintos asesinatos a diferentes familias, las cuales son asesinadas de maneras horribles.
Cuando nota a un extraño ente aparentemente demoníaco en uno de los videos comienzan a suceder cosas extrañas en la casa. A medida que avanza la película Ellison descubre más cosas sobre dicho ser demoníaco y varios patrones en dichos asesinatos. Mientras avanza la película y mientras se descubren más cosas, más aterrador se vuelve todo y se intuye que la familia Oswalt puede estar en peligro de muerte- Esta película me gustó mucho ya que tiene una historia cuyo miedo es progresivo, no es una película obvia ya que aunque sientas que hay un peligro latente, no sabes que puede ocurrir, todo es muy intrigante y hace que te quedes para saber que ocurre después, la considero una muy buena película de terror.
The first time I saw this movie with a friend when I was a teenager and when I saw it again I really liked it. This 2012 British horror film begins by showing a seemingly home video of an apparent family under a tree with bags over their heads and ropes tied around their necks, where a stranger cuts the branch which causes them to rise up and all hang to death. After that we meet Ellison Oswalt, who moves with his family to the house where the video of the beginning happened, since he bases his books on real crimes. Our protagonist gets a projector in the attic of the house along with several home videos of super 8 format and each has specific titles, among those videos is the hanging. Ellison begins to watch these videos and discovers that they are different murders of different families, which are killed in horrible ways.
When he notices a strange, seemingly demonic entity in one of the videos, strange things begin to happen in the house. As the film progresses Ellison discovers more about the demonic being and various patterns in the murders. As the movie progresses and as more things are discovered, the more terrifying everything becomes and you sense that the Oswalt family may be in mortal danger- I really liked this movie as it has a story whose fear is progressive, it is not an obvious movie as even though you feel there is a latent danger, you don't know what may happen, everything is very intriguing and makes you stay to know what happens next, I consider it a very good horror movie.

Babadook es muy buena, es difícil no sentirse con mal cuerpo al terminarla, y Sinister tiene buena trama y también te deja algo incómodo aunque no al nivel de Babadook jajaja. Me alegra que te haya gustado el post, un saludito!

Que buena selección, Babadook es muy top, recuerdo que la ví en su tiempo y de verdad vale mucho la pena. Siniestro también la ví pero no sé porque no me gustó tanto, no se, con el terror es extraño porque los gustos varían mucho.
Ví tu primer post y de allá Talk to me es la única que he visto. Me pareció normal, es algo diferente pero siento que pudo haber sido un pelo más, le pudieron haber sacado más cosas.

Sí, recuerdo que vi Babadook con mi novio y aunque no estaba sola, al terminar de verla de verdad me dejó con mucho miedo lo cual hizo que me gustara bastante, ya que era un miedo algo diferente a lo que uno está acostumbrado en una peli de terror. Con Sinister aunque no me dio tanto miedo como cuando era adolescente tiene una trama interesante, a veces cae en clichés pero tiene un plot twist que es algo inesperado jaja.
Recuerdo que con Talk to me aunque la vi sin expectativas, al final admito con sinceridad que me dio miedito jajaja, siento que tiene una historia interesante que en mi caso me dejó enganchada en lo que podría suceder más adelante, y el final me gustó!

Hola amiga, con el paso del tiempo, han sacado una gran cantidad de películas de terror y cada una de ellas cuenta con un gran toque y de esa manera poder disfrutar y llevarnos ese susto. De estas que nos compartes vi una y me pareció muy buena, por la manera como lograron recrear todo es terror en dicha producción, además me gusto como vas redactando esa secuencia de películas de terror y no pueda escoger y disfrutar de un buen rato. Oh, algo me dice que la película de la que hablas que viste es Babadook, porque así la sentí cuando la vi. Me alegra mucho que te haya gustado como recomiendo estas películas, ya tienes para hacer una pequeña maratón de terror, si las ves me cuentas qué tal! :D
Hola! Del top que mencionas Siniestro es una de esas peliculas que me encanto y que no muchos conocen. Ahora solo me falta ponerme al dia con las primeras que menciones que se ven igual de interesantes! 😄 Saluditos.
Sinister es buena, la trama es interesante y tiene un buen plot twist que uno no se espera. Espero que te gusten las otras película que están en la lista. Un saludo!

Me acuerdo que cuando vi la segunda pelicula que aqui comentas, la de la autopsia, estaba aun allgo pequeña, y recuerdo perfectamente agarrar el susto mas grande mi vida. He estado con muchas ganas de ver sinister, pero justamente como hablan que es la pelicula que más miedo da, no la quiero ver sola, muy buen post!
Esa película de la autopsia admito que la vi sin expectativas pero afortunadamente las cumplió, es progresiva y te va metiendo en el terror poco a poco, lo cual me gusta. Yo todas estas películas las he visto acompañada porque la verdad soy muy miedosa, así que sí recomiendo verla con alguien y que se asusten juntos jajaja. Gracias por pasarte por aquí, un saludo! :D
