In 2018, the film "The Young Karl Marx" was released nationwide in Japan, mainly at Iwanami Hall in Tokyo. It was a joint work between Germany, France, and Belgium. Many of my Facebook friends are liberal, so it was naturally a hot topic. One day, someone's share appeared in my news feed. It was an article with a detailed review of the film. It said that Marx was by no means perfect, and that there were times when he rejected or quarreled with people who had different opinions from him. Although it is a depiction of a real person, it is a film, so it is unclear how much of the story is true. The article was deleted midway and disappeared. It is a strange phenomenon.

I've recently decided to distance myself from the left-wing Japanese political party, as they deify Marx and do not tolerate criticism.

In Germany, Marx's homeland, the far-right AfD party came in second in the European Parliament elections in June this year (2024). They came in first and second in the state elections in Thuringia and Saxony in East Germany on September 1st. They are also likely to come in first in Brandenburg on September 22nd. I wonder if the journals of left-wing Japanese political parties are reporting this properly?

Anyway, I'm Japanese, but I can't find my place japanese community, so from now on I'll only write articles in English.

Thank you for reading.
