Williams: E.T./Rattle・Berliner Philharmoniker /ウィリアムズ:ラトル /ベルリン・フィル

One of the most moving movies I've ever seen. The friendship between a boy and an alien.
In the 80’s, the E.T. boom was amazing back then. The whole movie industry was in recession and Steven Spielberg was the most popular director.
What was it that impressed us so much?
Come to think of it, the Wiener Philharmoniker and the Berliner Philharmoniker have been making headlines recently with their performances of John Williams' works, and I now realize that E.T. also owes a great deal to Williams' music. Even Spielberg has acknowledged this.
I was thrilled to see the bicycle carrying the boy and E.T. fly through the sky.

感動した映画の一つ。少年と宇宙人の友情。
80年代のE.T.ブームはすごかったです。映画界全体が不況で、スティーブン・スピルバーグ監督が一人気を吐いていました。
何にそんなに感動したのでしょう？
そういえば最近、ウィーン・フィルやベルリン・フィルがジョン・ウィリアムズ作品を演奏して話題になっていますが、E.T.もウィリアムズの音楽の力が大きいと今さら思います。スピルバーグ監督も認めています。
少年とE.T.を乗せた自転車が空を飛ぶのを見てワクワクしたものでした。
