To all the boys I've loved before-Movie Review
Finally, I have become free from the shackles of the one they call,"Exams". And what do I do first after that? I slept and after that,I made a mental debrief through all the movies, animes and books in my watchlist and tbr(to be read). I began my give or take three weeks holiday with this movie. You know that feeling when you watch something and you're so mesmerized by the beauty of the film and then you begin to question your whereabouts in the past, where this particular movie had been all your life. That was me two days ago. Fun fact,is I have come across this movie more than twice but I never really got the push or motivation to watch it. First,I didn't like the cover picture,I thought it'll turn out to be a cringe piece and a waste of time and secondly, the last,I was judging a book by it's cover.
Lara Jean,I suddenly can't get your name out of my head. The movie,To all the boys I've loved is a romantic comedy movie that aired sometime in 2019.

I just finished watching "To All the Boys I've Loved Before," and I'm still reeling from the experience. The movie tells the story of Lara Jean Covey, a high school student who's never been in a relationship. Instead, she pours her heart out in letters to all the guys she's ever had a crush on, storing them in a secret box in her room.
It's a quirky habit, but one that I can somehow relate to. Who hasn't had a secret crush at some point, right? Anyway, Lara Jean's life is turned upside down when her little sister Kitty sends the letters out to all the guys on her list.
Suddenly, all the guys she's ever had a crush on, including her sister's ex, Josh, are confronting her about her feelings. It's a super awkward situation, and I can only imagine how Lara Jean must have felt.
To avoid the awkwardness with Josh, Lara Jean agrees to pretend to be in a relationship with Peter Kavinsky, one of the most popular guys in school. Peter's recently broken up with his girlfriend Gen, and he's trying to make her jealous.

As Lara Jean and Peter spend more time together, they start to develop real feelings for each other. But things get complicated when Gen tries to win Peter back.
It's a pretty confusing situation, and I found myself getting frustrated with Lara Jean's indecisiveness at times. But at the same time, I couldn't help but feel for her. She's just trying to navigate her feelings and figure out what she wants.
One of the things that I loved about this movie is the way it portrays the complexities of high school relationships. It's not just about romance and drama; it's also about identity and self-discovery.
Lara Jean is a character who's still figuring out who she is and what she wants. She's torn between her feelings for Peter and her loyalty to her sister. She's also struggling to balance her own desires with the expectations of those around her.

In the end, Lara Jean and Peter confess their love for each other, and it's a truly sweet moment. The movie's got a great cast, witty dialogue, and some really heartfelt moments.
I especially like the fact the movie tries to prove itself to you. It wasn't all that cringe,I legit thought I'd kill myself because of the amount of cringe I'd find in it. But I was proven wrong. It was actually really good. I enjoyed every second of it and found myself squirming, squealing and screaming for a love story that's not even mine;) but that's the think about fiction. Its aim is to make us forget where we're at and maybe not, sometimes.
Thanks for reading,I'm so back!;)
