Hello to all the #MoviesAndTVShows Community. The other day I was encouraged to watch a horror movie where Bill Skarsgård works, an actor who I admire for his work as a clown in the latest version of That and well it's just added to Netflix. Although the movie is from 2022 it has been quite recommended and is in the Top 10 of the most-watched movies in Venezuela, it is Barbarian.

Origin

  I wanted to see this film without reading the synopsis or watching the trailer, I only had in mind that it was a horror film and it starred Skarsgård, which for me was reason enough to want to give it a chance since he is scary with that deep look.

  The film starts as a quiet, rather drama type, where a girl arrives at a previously rented house and realizes that someone else is occupying it, so she decides to clarify the situation with the real estate agent who did the paperwork for both tenants legally and pays, that is, both were cheated.

Origin

  The plot from the start is loaded with tension between the main characters, and it's deepened with touches of mystery and suspenseful intrigue that make you wonder who's telling the truth. I liked this movie to a certain extent.

  I liked it because they develop the level of fear and mystery excellently, which generates a lot of intrigue to the viewer without knowing what will happen next. I liked that the story was controversial without being able to distinguish if the coming terror was caused by a supernatural being, a serial killer, a psychopath, or an animal.

  I liked that in a simple way they managed to instill great fear in the viewer by playing with themes such as light and darkness, not knowing what happens, I even thought that the film had ended at a certain point but it was just my guess.

  I think director Zach Cregger did a great job with this film and although this is the first film I've seen from him, I was delighted with his style and story development. I thought it was quite balanced in photography, dialogue, plot, characters, and unexpected outcomes.

Origin

  This movie is in itself unexpected, a different style of horror than I'm used to seeing and although there were scenes that caused me repulsion and disgust, I think everything was very well calculated and each scene simply had to be included. The ending was like watching a whole puzzle put together.

  If you are one of those who like this kind of movie, with Gore touches, I think you should give it a chance. I give it 🌟🌟🌟🌟 out of 5 Gold Stars. I simply loved the performance of Bill Skarsgård, I think he is an actor that does not disappoint his fans.

El otro día me animé a ver una película de terror donde trabaja Bill Skarsgård, actor a quien admiro por su trabajo como payaso en la última versión de Eso y bueno está recién agregada en Netflix. Aunque la película es del 2022 ha sido bastante recomendada y se encuentra en el Top 10 de las películas más vistas en Venezuela, se trata de Barbarian.

  Este film quise verlo sin leerme la sinopsis ni ver el tráiler, sólo tenía en mente que era de terror y actuaba Skarsgård, eso para mi fue razón suficiente para querer darle una oportunidad ya que él de por si da miedo con esa mirada profunda.

  La película empezó de lo más tranquila, tipo drama más bien, donde una chica llega a una casa alquilada previamente y se da cuenta que otra persona la está ocupando, por lo que decide aclarar la situación con el inmobiliario que le hizo el papeleo a ambos inquilinos de forma legal y paga, es decir, ambos fueron engañados.

  La trama de entrada inicia cargada de tensión entre los protagonistas, ahonada con toques de misterio y ese suspenso lleno de intriga que hace dudar quién está diciendo realmente la verdad. Me gustó esta película hasta cierto punto.

  Me gustó porque desarrollan el nivel de miedo y misterio de manera excelente, el cual genera mucha intriga al espectador sin saber qué ocurrirá luego. Me gustó que la historia fuera controversial sin poder distinguir si el terror que se avecinaba era causado por un ser sobrenatural, un asesino en serie, un psicópata o un animal.

  Me gustó que de manera sencilla lograran infundar gran temor al espectador jugando con temas como la luz y la oscuridad, no saber qué ocurre realmente, incluso llegué a pensar que la película habia terminado en cierto punto pero sólo fueron conjeturas mías.

  Pienso que el director Zach Cregger logró realizar un gran trabajo con esta película y aunque es el primer film que veo de él, quedé encantada con su estilo y desarrollo de la historia. Me pareció que estuvo bastante equilibrada en varios aspectos, fotografía, diálogo, trama, personajes y descenlaces inesperados.

  Esta película es de por sí inesperada, un estilo de horror diferente al que acostumbro a ver y aunque hubo escenas que me causaron repulsión y asco, pienso que todo estuvo muy bien calculado y cada escena simplemente debía estar incluida. El final fue como ver todo un rompecabezas armado.

  Si eres de los que te gustan este tipo de películas, con toques Gore, pienso que deberías darle una oportunidad. Yo de mi parte le doy 🌟🌟🌟🌟 de 5 Estrellitas Doradas. A mí simplemente me encantó la actuación de Bill Skarsgård, pienso que él es un actor que no defrauda a sus fans.
