Detonantes: Una Jessica Alba Diferente (Spa-Eng)

  ¡Greetings Cinephiles! Happy start of the week to all the #MoviesAndTVShows Community. The other day I enjoyed a new Jessica Alba movie with my family, it's Trigger Warning, so today I'll give you my opinion about it without spoilers.

  This film caught my attention after seeing the trailer, but unfortunately it fell short with the action scenes and its story development. In other words, Netflix did it again, and made a disappointing and poor-quality film.

  While I don't deny that the fight scenes and the use of knives were majestically and confidently implemented by Jessica Alba, if it wasn't for her performance I wouldn't have watched it the story was so slow that I fell asleep twice.

  The truth is that I wouldn't say I like it when a film director puts little effort into what could have been a good story and lets all the weight fall on the protagonist as if to assure that it will be a high-caliber film. Unfortunately in the case of Trigger Warning this was not the case.

  Jessica Alba of course stood out! And by far, I loved seeing this side of her being tough and very agile with bladed weapons and other weapons. Her co-star Tone Bell also seemed to me to do an excellent job even though her on-screen scenes were very few.

  As for the "villains" in the film, I found them to be very generic characters, with nothing to highlight. The movie itself is about a military girl who is an expert in the use of knives who loses her father to corrupt people who sell illegal weapons obtained from an army base near the small town where she grew up.

  With that description, there's nowhere to grab, she gets revenge with bare hands in a literal way and then goes on with her life happily. Such a generic story, unfortunately, passes more for cliché than audience acceptance, i.e. it's more of the same, to such an extent that, if you take out the fight scenes with Jessica Alba, the film doesn't even fulfill the basic function of being entertaining.

  So it's only for the performance of the fabulous Jessica Alba that I will recommend it. But I warn you, it's only entertaining, it's good to pass the time and to slake your thirst for justice. I was delighted to see her acting again and more in a side I've never seen from her before.

  Well, I admit, maybe Jessica Alba has done a few action films and has used guns before, but I've never seen her fight hand-to-hand like this before and with such style. That's what made this movie special and that's why I give this film a thumbs up:

  ¡Saludos Cinéfilos! Feliz inicio de semana para toda la Comunidad de #MoviesAndTVShows. El otro día disfruté con mi familia una película nueva de Jessica Alba, se trata de Detonantes, así que hoy les daré mi opinión sobre dicha película sin hacer spoilers.

  Este film llamó mi atención luego de ver el tráiler, pero lamentablemente se quedó corto con las escenas de acción y su desarrollo en cuanto a la historia. Es decir, Netflix lo hizo de nuevo, hizo una película decepcionante y de mala calidad.

  Aunque no niego que las escenas de pelea y el uso de los cuchillos fueron implementados majestuosamente y con mucha seguridad de parte de Jessica Alba, de no ser por su actuación no la termino de ver, de hecho, se me hizo tan lenta la historia que hubo dos oportunidades en las que me quedé dormida.

  La verdad es que me desagrada cuando un director de cine le pone poco empeño a lo que pudo ser una buena historia y deja que caiga todo el peso sobre la protagonista como asegurando que con eso será una película de alto calibre. Lamentablemente en el caso de Detonantes no fue así.

  Jessica Alba por supuesto que resalto! y por mucho, me encantó ver esta faceta de ella siendo ruda y muy ágil con armas blancas y de otros tipos. Su coprotagonista Tone Bell también me parece que hizo un excelente trabajo a pesar de que sus escenas en pantalla fueron muy pocas.

  En cuanto a los "villanos" del film, me resultaron personajes muy genéricos, nada que destacar. Y es que la película en sí, trata de una chica militar experta en el uso de cuchillos que pierde a su padre en manos de personas corruptas que venden armamento ilegal que obtienen de una base militar cercana al pueblito en el que ella creció.

  Ya con esa descripción no hay para dónde agarrar, ella consigue venganza a mano limpia de manera literal y luego sigue feliz con su vida. Una historia así de genérica lamentablemente pasa más por cliché que por aceptación del público, es decir, es más de lo mismo, a tal punto que, si se quitan las escenas de pelea con Jessica Alba, el film ni siquiera llega a cumplir la función básica de ser entretenido.

  Así que sólo por la actuación que brindó la fabulosa Jessica Alba es que la recomendaré. Pero les advierto que sólo es entretenida, sirve para pasar el rato y saciar levemente la sed de justicia. A mí me encantó verla actuar de nuevo y más en una faceta que nunca había visto de ella.

  Bueno, lo admito, tal vez Jessica Alba ha hecho unos cuantos films de acción y ha usado armas en otras oportunidades, pero la verdad yo nunca la había visto pelear cuerpo a cuerpo así y con tanto estilo. Eso fue lo que hizo especial esta película y es la razón por la cual a este film le doy:
