Supernatural Girl

Finished the first season of Nancy Drew and it is not too happy Nige.

I went into the show expecting a classic murder mystery plot, like the books I read as a child. As the season progressed it became more clear that this was not going to be the case.

I still held out quite a bit, wondering what kind of 3D light projection or hallucinogens are being used to have people see some of the freaky shit they are seeing.

Alas, this was not the case. They were really seeing freaky shit. More so that freaky shit is actively trying to kill them.

It all feels like the golden days of Supernatural, around season 2-5 before the Angels and Demons got up in everyone's ass.

Although I think I will still finish Supernatural some day for now it seems I get to enjoy a bit of nostalgia by watching Nancy.

As for the actors, it is one of the few shows in a long time where they are not trying to sell you some ideology. Which from a snippet I have seen gives a lot of merit for the creator to have lost his shit on CW cancelling it. I don't even need to know the reason, I bet you those fuckers found it lacking in "perverse mental illness" so they cancelled it because how else are you supposed to pander to the inbred majority... I get side tracked.

All in all for a nice ghost story, not much horror and a pretty good twist and turn story line then Nancy Drew is a great watch.
