Santa Clause is sick, and becomes persuaded to stay home for the holiday by his doctor who is sympathetic to his plight.

Santa Clause's wife must convince Santa to deliver presents and make the annual trip around the globe while dealing with two discordant brothers to make it snow in the deep South. Christmas spirit is important, and the movie focuses on the exploits of Santa's family and elves.

The film is great for families and if you need something to watch this season, I highly recommend it. This film features the voice talents of Mickey Rooney as Santa Clause and Shirley Booth as his wife. The film also features 11 songs, and is highly entertaining. There was a remake, bit this is a classic and pure film that is timeless in its execution.
