So, "Last Resort" is actually a military action series, not a movie about a creepy vacation spot.
I recently binge-watched this series, and I've gotta say, it's a wild ride from start to finish. The show follows the crew of a U.S. Navy submarine that receives an order to launch nuclear missiles at Pakistan. When the captain refuses to follow through without confirmation, the sub is attacked by their own country and ends up taking refuge on a small island.

From there, the story takes off in all sorts of crazy directions. There's a lot of political intrigue, with various factions trying to either help or hinder the submarine crew. There are also plenty of action scenes, with the crew fighting off everything from enemy soldiers to local warlords.

One of the things I really liked about "Last Resort" was the characters. The captain, played by Andre Braugher, is a total badass - he's tough, smart, and fiercely loyal to his crew. The rest of the cast is great too, with each character bringing something unique to the table. You've got the hotshot pilot, the no-nonsense chief of the boat, the nervous newbie, and more.

The show also does a good job of exploring some pretty heavy themes. There's a lot of discussion about the nature of loyalty, the morality of following orders, and the consequences of nuclear war. It's not always easy to watch, but it's definitely thought-provoking.

If I had to nitpick, I might say that the show can be a little uneven at times. Some episodes are more exciting than others, and there are a few plotlines that don't quite pay off in the end. But overall, the good definitely outweighs the bad.

In terms of the technical stuff, "Last Resort" is pretty solid. The action scenes are well-choreographed and the special effects are convincing. The music is also great, with a tense, moody score that really adds to the atmosphere.

So, if you're looking for a binge-worthy military action series with some brains behind the brawn, I'd definitely recommend checking out "Last Resort." Just be prepared for some serious nail-biting along the way!
