(ENG/SPA) Parasite: When People are Society's Microbiota
Parasite is a film that criticizes the cruelty of society and family imbalances in that environment, it does so from various points of view where some are subtle and others are much more noticeable in the story because it is as if the film hits us with the grotesque reality which generates repulsion but at the same time are momentary reflections of ourselves as viewers, family, society and human beings.
I saw a review in the community that encouraged to see this film and it caught my attention immediately because the striking thing was the murkiness of that image which is basically the promotional image of the film with those censored eyes which you can also see in this post, it is inevitable to associate that abominable strip with something bad like death and as I love death stories I was encouraged to see it on MAX since that is where it is available.
Parasite es un film que critica la crueldad de La Sociedad y Los Desequilibrios Familiares en ese entorno, lo hace desde variados puntos de vista donde algunos son sutiles y otros son mucho mas notables en la historia porque es como si el film nos golpeara con lo grotesco de la realidad lo cual nos genera repulsión pero a la vez son reflejos momentáneos de nosotros mismos como espectadores, familia, sociedad y seres humanos.
Vi una reseña en la comunidad que animaba a ver este film y me llamo la atención de inmediato porque lo llamativo fue lo turbia de esa imagen que es básicamente la promocional del film con esos ojos censurados la cual pueden ver también en este post, es inevitable asociar esa franja abominable con algo malo como la muerte y como me encantan las historias de muerte pues me anime a ver en MAX ya que allí es donde esta disponible.
Now beyond my impression, once I saw the film my thoughts are varied because I mistakenly associated it with a horror film because with that name of the film and those censorship stripes one can expect that, I think that in reality the most powerful of the film is not the murky, what most impacts the film is the ability to generate reflections as it is an intelligent film, in this review I will share mine and therefore I encourage you to see because you may have other reflections because your life experiences are different from mine.
I share with you the Trailer so you can see a slight overview of what the film is about, a lower class family in economic collapse struggles to survive even if they become metaphorically speaking parasites, this is basically the premise it offers and it is one that I love because yes, I totally think that the metaphor individuals of a nuclear family is totally equivalent to the concept Parasite that gives the film and the host is the Society.
Many may be horrified, detest this comparison I am writing but it is because they do not know that just as there are good and bad people, there are also good and bad parasites, we do not have to go very far, we are host of many parasites in our microbiota where some are good and others bad, what gives the film the conviction of being a social criticism is how society forces us to eat each other voraciously, savagely and hypocritically.
Ahora mas allá de mi impresión inicial, una vez que vi el film mi pensamiento es variado porque erróneamente lo asocié con un film de terror ya que con ese nombre de la película y esas franjas de censura pues uno se puede esperar eso, pienso que en realidad lo mas poderoso del film no es lo turbio, lo que mas impacta del film es la capacidad de generar reflexiones ya que es una película inteligente, en esta reseña te compartiré las mías y por eso te animo a ver porque puede que tu tengas otras reflexiones ya que tus vivencias de vida son diferentes a las mías.
Les comparto el Trailer para que vean un ligero panorama de lo que va la película, una familia de la clase baja en colapso económico lucha por sobrevivir así se conviertan metafóricamente hablando en Parásitos, esta es básicamente la premisa que ofrece y es una que me encanta porque sí, pienso totalmente que la metáfora individuos de un núcleo familiar es totalmente equivalente al concepto Parasito que le da el film y el huésped es la Sociedad.
Muchos se pueden horrorizar, detestar esta comparación que estoy escribiendo pero es porque no saben que así como hay personas buenas y malas, también hay parásitos buenos y malos, no hay que ir muy lejos, nosotros somos huésped de muchos parásitos en nuestras Microbiotas donde unos son buenos y otros malos, lo que le da la convicción al film de ser una critica social es el como la Sociedad nos obliga a comernos unos a otros de manera voraz, salvajemente e hipócritamente.
- Social Hypocrisy
This is the most forceful reflection that the film transmitted to me, maybe that's why it reached people so much because they are things that many have lived, the film is very well made to reflect the reality of wealthy families who basically pay for company in the only thing that matters to them which are themselves and their things where you can perceive the rejection and lack of concern towards the parasites and their things but they will not tell you this because they need to use them to live.
That is why I consider the title parasite to be genius because that family of parasites that you see happily smiling in the picture can help you as well as they can use you to take advantage of your condition of monetary power, they eat you, they feed on you in a process called Work where they smile and thank you when in reality they hate you, detest you and criticize you behind your back even though you have been a good person to them.

- The Social Imbalance
There is a part of the film that names for a security guard position hundreds of college students apply, this I think many of you have lived it and being graduates, these are realities that hit people.
Parents take so much care of their children, pamper them, take them to school with the greatest affection so that they can forge themselves, celebrate their grades, treat them beautifully, it seems a fantasy world that ends when you go to the working world where the strongest lives and gets a job and the other perishes professionally to which I add the mistreatment at work.
It is a great film, just look at all the aspects I mention and all that is raised in the film or at least in my case I perceived it that way, I'm sure if you dare to see the film that these two reflections that I name will not go unnoticed for you.
- La Hipocresía Social
Esta es la Reflexión mas contundente que me transmitió el film, tal vez por eso llego tanto a las personas ya que son cosas que muchos han vivido, esta muy bien hecha la película al reflejar la realidad de familias adineradas que pagan básicamente por compañía en lo único que les importa que son ellos mismos y sus cosas donde se percibe el rechazo y la falta de preocupación hacia los parásitos y sus cosas pero esto no se lo dirán porque necesitan usarlos para vivir.
Por eso considero que el título Parasito es una genialidad porque esa familia de parásitos que ven felizmente sonreír en la imagen pueden ayudarte así como pueden utilizarte para aprovecharse de tu condición de poder monetario, te comen, se alimentan de ti en un proceso llamado Trabajo donde sonríen y te dan las gracias cuando en realidad te odian, te detestan y critican a tus espaldas a pesar de haber sido una buena persona con ellos.
- El Desequilibrio Social
Hay una parte del film que nombra para un cargo de guardia de seguridad se presentan centenares de universitarios, esto pienso que muchos de ustedes lo han vivido y siendo graduados, son realidades que golpean a las personas.
Los padres cuidan tanto de los hijos, los miman, los llevan a las escuelas con el mayor cariño para que se forjen, celebran sus notas, los tratan lindo, parece un mundo de fantasía que se acaba cuando vas al mundo laboral donde el mas fuerte vive y consigue trabajo y el otro perece profesionalmente a lo cual añado los malos tratos laborales.
Es una gran película, solo fíjense todos los aspectos que menciono y todo eso se plantea en el film o al menos en mi caso lo percibí así, estoy seguro si te animas a ver la película que estas dos reflexiones que nombre no pasaran desapercibidas para ti.
- Ki-Jung is the best character in the film
She is The Perfect Parasite because she has an enviable ability to adapt in situations, in fact she can camouflage herself in that monetary environment of power and appear to be upper class haha, it is a slight detail that is mentioned but it helps to define the personality of the character since she can swim between classes.
The Actress transmits a lot of life, a lot of irony, a lot of vital hypocrisy for the film, I believe what she says until they have to tell me that she is lying, character and actress are in perfect harmony, all the casting convinced me and of all of them, she got to me the most.
I fully recommend you to see the film, it deserves 9 out of 10 where the ending I did not like completely but the film seeks to go beyond and it succeeds, it is not just entertainment, from this narrative and conflict you can get a lot and each viewer can perceive it differently by their experiences during life as Parasite.
- Ki-Jung es La Mejor Personaje del film
Ella es La Parásito perfecta porque tiene una capacidad para adaptarse en las situaciones envidiable, de hecho puede camuflajearse en ese entorno monetario de poder y aparentar ser de clase alta jaja, es un detalle ligero que se menciona pero ayuda a definir la personalidad del personaje ya que puede nadar entre las clases.
La Actriz transmite mucha vida, mucha ironía, mucha hipocresía vital para la película, me creo lo que ella dice hasta que me tienen que decir que esta mintiendo, personaje y actriz están en armonía perfecta, todo el casting me convenció y de todos ellos, llego mas a mi ella.
Te recomiendo plenamente para ver el film, se merece 9 chiquitos de 10 donde el final no termino de gustarme por completo pero que el film busca ir mas allá y lo logra, no es solo entretenimiento, de esta narrativa y conflicto se puede sacar mucho y cada espectador lo puede percibir diferente por sus experiencias durante la vida como Parasito.
