(ENG/SPA) Clash of the Gods: Quetzalcoatl The Feathered Serpent
Si eres fan de los Dioses y de las distintas civilizaciones antiguas que han caminado por la tierra, CLASH of The GODS es una serie documental de la History Channel ideal para ti porque se narran las historias de los dioses mas destacados en la cultura griega y en algunas otras culturas tal y como se presenta en el episodio que traigo a reseñar donde hablan del dios mas poderoso que ha existido en América, uno que fue Azteca.
Quetzalcoatl La Serpiente Emplumada es uno de mis dioses favoritos de todo el Olimpo mundial de dioses que plantean distintas civilizaciones porque es Mesoamericano, para ser mas especifico, pertenece a la civilización Azteca que se situó en la actual México, el episodio narra toda su historia y el como sufrió, lucho, nos instruyo para cosechar el maíz y la razón mas fuerte de todas, nos creo a nosotros luego de muchos fallos en el intento por crearnos y su lucha con el Dios de La Muerte en el Mictlan que es el Inframundo Azteca o Mesoamericano.
If you are a fan of the Gods and the different ancient civilizations that have walked the earth, CLASH of The GODS is a documentary series of the History Channel ideal for you because it tells the stories of the most prominent gods in Greek culture and in some other cultures as presented in the episode that I bring to review where they talk about the most powerful god that has existed in America, one that was Aztec.
Quetzalcoatl The Feathered Serpent is one of my favorite gods of all the world Olympus of gods that different civilizations pose because he is Mesoamerican, to be more specific, he belongs to the Aztec civilization that was located in the current Mexico, The episode tells his whole story and how he suffered, struggled, instructed us to harvest corn and the strongest reason of all, he created us after many failures in the attempt to create us and his struggle with the God of Death in the Mictlan which is the Aztec or Mesoamerican Underworld.
Para plantear mi opinión sobre lo mejor de este episodio en el que se habla de Quetzacóatl, lo enumerare en cuatro aspectos que me parecieron los mas llamativos y que pienso también lo serán para el espectador que lee este post y se anime a ver el episodio.
- No solo existieron Dioses en Europa:
A nivel mundial son muy conocidas culturas como la egipcia en el norte de África, Griega y Romana en Europa entre otras mas pero a la vez que existían estas culturas, en América también había humanos dominando la región desde muchos siglos antes de Colón, unos que inclusive precedieron a los Aztecas que tenían una estructura organizativa y una ciudad, una urbe llamada Teotihuacán donde floreció y se desarrollo por muchos siglos hasta consolidarse como la gran civilización Azteca la cual tenia una religión que adoraba al Dios Benefactor Quetzalcóatl.
Lo mejor del episodio es que se conozca todo el mito y leyenda desde el punto de vista Azteca sobre El Dios Quetzalcoatl y que no difiere mucho de otros grandes dioses como lo puede ser Hércules o Jesús para los cristianos porque Quetzalcóatl logro realizar desafíos que se van enumerando durante el episodio con evidencia arqueológica de toda su historia que se contaba en aquellos tiempos.
To state my opinion about the best of this episode in which Quetzacóatl is discussed, I will list four aspects that seemed to me the most striking and that I think will also be so for the viewer who reads this post and is encouraged to watch the episode.
- Gods did not only exist in Europe:
Worldwide are well known cultures such as the Egyptian in North Africa, Greek and Roman in Europe among others but at the same time that these cultures existed, in America there were also humans dominating the region for many centuries before Columbus, some that even preceded the Aztecs who had an organizational structure and a city, a city called Teotihuacan where it flourished and developed for many centuries to consolidate as the great Aztec civilization which had a religion that worshiped the Benefactor God Quetzalcoatl.
The best of the episode is to know all the myth and legend from the Aztec point of view about the God Quetzalcoatl and that it does not differ much from other great gods such as Hercules or Jesus for Christians because Quetzalcoatl managed to accomplish challenges that are listed during the episode with archaeological evidence of all its history that was told in those times.
- Los Historiadores y Arqueólogos son de habla Hispana:
Generalmente cuando veo este tipo de documentales, quienes narran las historias basado en sus estudios son de habla ingles, americanos y eso hace que tenga una idea errónea en mi mente que siempre va a ser así, cosa que gratamente me sorprendió en este capítulo al ver que la History Channel durante este episodio de Clash of the Gods a quienes coloca para dar toda la explicación del dios Quetzalcoatl son de habla hispana, historiadores y arqueólogos donde muchos de ellos son de origen mexicano.
- El Origen del Ser Humano Los Huesos Preciosos:
Soy fanático de las historias de Dioses y mas aun de esos relatos sobre como nos crearon a nosotros los humanos que actualmente existimos, en el relato de Quetzaltcoatl sobre la creación lo mas llamativo para mi fueron los intentos fallidos de los dioses para crearnos y el concepto huesos preciosos de hombres y mujeres de otras eras.
- The historians and archaeologists are Spanish speaking:
Usually when I watch this type of documentaries, those who narrate the stories based on their studies are English speaking, Americans and that makes me have a misconception in my mind that it will always be like that, something that pleasantly surprised me in this chapter to see that the History Channel during this episode of Clash of the Gods to whom it places to give all the explanation of the god Quetzalcoatl are Spanish speaking, historians and archaeologists where many of them are of Mexican origin.
- The Origin of the Human Being The Precious Bones:
I am a fan of the stories of Gods and even more of those stories about how they created us humans that currently exist, in the story of Quetzaltcoatl about the creation the most striking for me were the failed attempts of the gods to create us and the concept precious bones of men and women from other eras.
Los dioses aztecas fallaron en crearnos cuatro veces usando los huesos preciosos, cada creación era regido por un sol dios diferente, los primeros hombres eran muy pequeños y los dioses les convirtieron en peces, los segundos eran de barro haciendo que fueran muy grandes y torpes a los cuales convirtieron en montañas, los terceros fueron de Maíz y el resultado fueron hombres perfectos que no adoraban a los dioses y los convirtieron en monos y el cuarto intento fueron de nuevo moldeados en maíz pero les dieron un corazón que los hizo buenos y totalmente inútiles.
Este es el momento que considero clave de todos las aventuras narradas en el episodio porque vaya que son muchas mas y lo mejor es que de los fallos es donde Quetzalcóatl decide no rendirse y por eso es el Dios definitivo y el que mas resalta en todo el Olimpo Azteca
- Maquillaje y Vestuario de El Dios del Inframundo Azteca Mictlantecuhtli
Es en este punto donde mas invito al espectador fan de dioses y civilizaciones antiguas porque el episodio a medida que el narrador narra las aventuras de Quetzalcóatl y los profesionales en la materia se añaden para aportan la versión histórica que se conoce, todo lo anterior es acompañado por actores los cuales son maquillados y tienen un vestuario para hacernos entrar aun más en historia.
El momento en que mejor lo logran es en el quinto intento para crear al ser humano donde Quetzalcoatl se enfrenta al Dios de La Muerte Mictlantecuhtli y los actores se ven a tope, de verdad pareciera que estoy viendo una batalla de dioses o súper héroes actuales, los efectos están acordes a la época pero el maquillaje y vestuario para los dioses me hace entrar en esas batalla como un espectador a tope.
Dedicado todos y cada uno de mis post y videos a mi perrita llamada princesa que la llamábamos chiquito que ya no está con nosotros pero desde el cielo verá que su existencia SI fue valiosa y lo más hermoso que existirá en mi corazón y alma.
The Aztec gods failed in creating us four times using the precious bones, each creation was ruled by a different sun god, the first men were very small and the gods turned them into fish, the second were made of mud making them very big and clumsy which they turned into mountains, the third were made of Corn and the result were perfect men who did not worship the gods and turned them into monkeys and the fourth attempt were again molded in corn but they were given a heart that made them good and totally useless.
This is the moment that I consider key of all the adventures narrated in the episode because there are many more and the best thing is that of the failures is where Quetzalcoatl decides not to surrender and that is why he is the definitive God and the one that stands out in all the Aztec Olympus.
- Makeup and Costumes of The Aztec God of the Underworld Mictlantecuhtli
It is at this point where I most invite the viewer fan of gods and ancient civilizations because the episode as the narrator narrates the adventures of Quetzalcoatl and professionals in the field are added to bring the historical version that is known, all this is accompanied by actors which are made up and have a costume to make us enter even more in history.
The moment in which they achieve it best is in the fifth attempt to create the human being where Quetzalcoatl faces the God of Death Mictlantecuhtli and the actors are at their best, it really seems that I'm watching a battle of gods or super heroes today, the effects are in keeping with the era but the makeup and costumes for the gods makes me enter into these battles as a spectator to the fullest.
I dedicate each and every one of my posts and videos to my little dog named princess, we called her chiquito, she is no longer with us but from heaven she will see that her existence was valuable and the most beautiful thing that will exist in my heart and soul.

Hola muchachón! No conocía este documental pero se ve muy bueno, a mí me encanta todo eso de los dioses, cuando era más pequeña estaba media obse con los griegos y romanos, pero sí tienes razón, hay que darle entidad a nuestros dioses, los de América que también son geniales.

Muchachonaaa hola 😃/, así que fanática de peque de esos tiempos mitológicos, yo también, de hecho había una comiquita en discovery kids que daba varios relatos de dioses a su manera claro y yo me quedaba maravillado frente al televisor, con caballeros de zodiaco también que maneja la parte griega pero es grato leer que de peque querías mas conocimiento de sus historias, por ejemplo el como los griegos explican las estaciones es un buen relato y así muchos mas
Ahora así como ellos tienen historias potentes, las de América también tienen su sazón, este capítulo por ejemplo lo vi tres veces porque quisiera hablar de toooodo lo que vi jaja pero seria un post muy amplio sin necesidad entonces me quede con lo que mas me agrado y me dejo conocimiento como la creación del hombre y la mujer
ajajaajajaj es que el ser bueno da muchas debilidades y los dioses lo saben, los dioses americanos así como muchos otros necesitan ser venerados y que se cumplan sus ordenes, esos hombres y mujeres de maíz con corazón no eran los esclavos productivos que ellos buscaban, lo interesante de esos últimos dos fallos es lo siguiente
El moldeado en maí salio perfecto, en realidad según esta cultura existe una versión de nosotros perfecta y lo irónico es que es una sin corazón 😅
Si te gusta este tipo de historias, pro alguna vez en tu vida deberías ir a México o Perú porque te puedo asegurar que lo que ves en el documental es solo el 1%de lo que ellos saben. En varias oportunidades estuve en esto países y su historia es muy rica, por eso pienso que es la explicación del "habla hispana" porque ellos son celosos con sus ancestros y hay cosas que solo ellos entienden y explican, repito, te recomiendo ir, porque toda la historia es genial. Lo único que no comparto es que somos del maiz, porque con estos calorones podemos explotar ja,ja,ja...

Muchachonaaa hola 😃/, fíjate que en mi caso soy muy hogareño y no soy muy de visitar lugares turísticos EXCEPTO lugares arqueológicos SHIIIII 😀, a esos si me animaría a montarme en un avión y hasta subir las escaleras de esas pirámides todas ajaj, grato sería para mi visitar estas ciudades Teotihuacan y Tenoctitlan entre otra muchas etc
El saber de esos lugares de los que aun conservan las historias pasadas, yo solo escucho las historias y quedo encantado y mas cuando noto la similitud entre muchas religiones anteriores y actuales porque se retroalimentan entre si, ahora la parte que no me espere es que la ciudad fue construida por una civilización anterior y que esa civilización es de la que no se sabe, ese dato es el que no sabia y me recuerda a Egipto porque si pienso es factible la teoría de que los egipcios se consiguieron las pirámides ya hechas con todo y esfinge, entonces claro me llamo enormemente la atención que aquí en América sucedió eso

Hola mi muchachon, que buen documental, la verdad es muy atrayente, siempre me ha gustado conocer temas mitológicos de civilizaciones antiguas de los dioses, y como las culturas se apegaban a ello, la cultura maya, egipcia y romana, hasta el día de hoy se apegan algunos ritos a estos dioses que eran de gran ayuda para las cosechas, fertilidad y guía, aún hay países que guardan un apego importante a venerar la mitología de los dioses. Y ni hablar de la arquitectura arqueológica magníficamente impresionante.

Muchachonaaa hola 😃/, a que grato leer también te atraen estas historias las cuales son muy variadas, en el caso de Quetzalcotl lo note como que tiene mucha acción, es un guerrero etc, ahora en la griega si he llegado a ver y escuchar distintos dramas y los románticos son muy buenos como el de Perséfone y hades
Es que el nacimiento de estos dioses es justo para explicar cosas comunes del día a día y vitales para nosotros, sobre todo las cosechas, en el caso de Quetzalcoatl fíjate lo vital que era el maíz, esto indica que para la civilización Azteca la cosecha del maíz era vida, el centro para que lo demás siguiera y por eso estamos hechos de maíz.... somos cotufas wiiii jajajaj 😂😂

Como me gustan los lugares arqueológicos, sabes me fascina Egipto pero en general todos estos misterios me apasionan. Se ve genial ese documental y el detalle del maquillaje es asombroso. Te imaginas poder estar en esos lugares? Una locura!
Gods certainly didn't only exist only in Europe. There are a lot of them even in Asian continents too. This one is interesting documentary and what I am amazed by Aztec is that they might have traveled far away too because in Indonesia, there are similar structures just like the Aztec's have built.

One of the keys is Teotihuacan, what you name of Indonesia is another example that cultures so separated by the distance unites them common ancestors and these last ones loved the pyramids because worldwide there are many civilizations that used in their architecture this geometric form.
Then look at this curious but good fact, the Aztecs got Teotihuacan, that is, there was already a whole architectural city that is not known why it was abandoned, that civilization before the Aztecs simply disappeared.... maybe they went to Indonesia or other places.

Una de las claves es Teotihuacan, lo que nombras de indonesia es una muestra mas que culturas tan separadas por las distancia las une ancestros en comun y estos ultimos les encantaban las piramides porque a nivel mundial son muchas las civilizaciones que usaban en su arquitectura esta forma geométrica
Entonces fijate en este dato curioso pero bueno bueno, los aztecas consiguieron Teotihuacan, es decir, ya habia toda una urbe arquitectonica que no se sabe porque fue abandonada, esa civilización antes de los aztecas simplemente desaparecio.... quiza fueron a indonesia u otros lugares
De hecho pertenezco a ese grupo que piensa que lo anterior también sucedio en egipto, es decir, los egipcios se consiguieron la spiramides y la esfinge
Lo mejor de todo lo anterior es que son misterios que hacen volar la imaginación 😃/

Quizás se cansó de hacer nuevas versiones de la humanidad, la actual sigue pareciendo un experimento fallido. Y es cierto, en todos los continentes existen mitos sobre la creación del mundo, no sólo en Europa. Un saludo
