CineTv Contest: 500 Days Of Summer

I'm glad am joining the contest for the first time and I'm happy writing on this interesting movie that caught my attention alone but please I would love to have company in this movie and you all are welcome to join

500 Days of summer is not a love story that everyone imagines with all sweetness and of course a happy ending but it's a story about love well let me say the bitter side of love I guess that's the reason my sister's never find it interesting because to them all romantic love stories should end well but to me what they don't understand is that not every love story must have a happy ending sometimes love leaves us with the story to tell and a lesson to learn

500 Days of Summer is actually a romantic drama comedy that doesn't have our typical expectations or will I say imagination of all love should be and what it should not but rather it brings out the contradictions of love personal growth and heartbreak but most importantly self love first and knowing what you truly want that's one of the things that got my interest in the movie against every other person's view

THE PLOT

The movie begins with two different people with different perspective of what love is first the guy Thomas Hansen an aspiring architect but works as a greeting card writer believes that he can only be happy when he finally meets the one for him while Summer Finn on the other hand doesn't believe that love can last for so long in fact she doesn't believe in true love
And to her they have just been best friend all along you wonna know what happens to this two are they really gonna survive in this relationship alright let's keep going…

Tom meets Summer for the first time in a board meeting when she started working for his boss as an assistant and instantly he fell in love with her you know what the say about love at first sight right oh yeah well I don't know how many people that has worked for but it hasn't really worked for me or maybe it might one day who knows hahaha oh well back to our story Summer doesn't even believe in love not to talk of love at first sight hahaha ( sorry but I'm just finding this funny )
Well Tom wasn't ready to give up his new found love and happiness according to him he had given her all the green flag he can think of but our sweet summer wasn't even paying attention

This scene where Summer gave him a confused look after Tom tried to let her know that what he truly needs wasn't really toner but her actually made me giggle have i talked out where be had to increase the volume of summer's favorite Smith song just to get her attention but fail
Even after everything Tom heard about her “non serious relationship lifestyle” he still wanted to create something beautiful for himself well they manage to get together to Tom they were already boyfriend and girlfriend but to Summer he was just being a best friend well that's totally heartbreaking ohhh please please my future boyfriend don't best friend me while I am boyfriending you pleassssse that's the sweetest part of heartbreak

My second best scene is with Tom's friends those guys were crazy I must say the most funny aspect I love was where the friend asked if she said Hey instead of Hi because that would mean she's a lesbian like helloooo how does that even relate or did I even talk about the irony of “the whole company is going” just to let Tom know that Summer was going for the event men I love those guys they're actually friends worth having

Tom's days with Summer was the most happiest time and moments in his life and he was hoping that they were going to have a beautiful happy ending and he really did invest deeply into the relationship only that the love was one sided finally when Tom realize that he has been in the relationship all alone it really tore him apart he couldn't even place his hands on what actually went wrong in their relationship
He had to spend most his time now imagining their lovely days together wishing he could go back to the days of Summer and Tom

It was through this pain moments of self reflection that Tom discovered that relationship wasn't all that he had thought it would and that two people with different perspective of love can't really make a good couple of cause he and Summer weren't meant to be together but he was blinded by his quest to experience what love really is oh well I'm glad Tom finally moved on found a new peace at least gets to experience self love first and finally meets someone else to begin another love story with to me actually it was a happy ending well to others I wouldn't know

MY REVIEW ABOUT THE MOVIE

Relationship aren't too rosy and we shouldn't enter one with the mind set that everything is all going to be lovely and sweet all the time there are always times of ups and down but as long as it isn't a one sided relationship like Tom's and Summer you guys are definitely gonna pull through another thing I learnt from this story is the fact that one's happiness shouldn't be based on finding love Tom was obsessed because he thought loving Summer was going to give him the happiness he wanted Well for Summer I was glad the girl knew what she wanted she wasn't ready for a true love connection and she made it plain to Tom obviously he was too carried away to note that

I would really appreciate someone like Summer you know tell me what you really want from me if it's something i can give them we will ride other than deceiving me with love lies well this deal won't go well with lots of persons nobody want to hear the bitter truth hahaha
So to this end I would say Tom broke his own heart because Summer wasn't even in the relationship from the start it's funny right
