LOVE HURTS (2025)

You know what the say about your past always coming back to hunt you down sometimes it's true and sometimes the past doesn't actually meet up with us we get faster than it but then there are some past that get stocked to our body that no matter how we run it's always there waiting to surface and if that past is bad it can destroy the beautiful present we have…. That's one thing that kept me glued to this movie How was Marvin going to handle his past so it doesn't destroy the beautiful present he has and the future he looks up to This in fact is my first time watching a most currently released movie of the year before now am always a year or two years or even ten years current at least people must have watched the movie and commented and from their comments we decide whether to watch or not but this particular movie mennn I don't need a comment to devoted 90 percent of my time to it

PLOT OF THE MOVIE
Marvin Gable was an unassuming real estate agent living a quiet uneventful life in a suburban neighborhood looking at his outward appearance he was an ordinary middle aged man with a penchant for spreadsheets and client's meetings but behind a mild mannered exterior lies a far more complex past He was a top tier hitman in a shadow underworld of assassins notorious for completing high stakes jobs with surgical precision
However after a series of close calls and a nearly disastrous mission that made him question his morality he decided to walk away from his violent past and sought the normalcy of real estate

Everything was going on well for Marvin until one sunny February morning when he received an unexpected phone call from a voice he hoped he would never hear ever again Rose! Rose was once Marvin's formal lover from his assassin days aside that she was also a skilled operative in her own right his onetime closest partner in crime Their passionate but volatile relationship ended on a bad terms when Marvin abandoned her during a mission gone awry she never forgave him for leaving her behind and her calling now signals nothing less than trouble

But then on the contrary the tension in Rose's voice wasn't that of trouble but of someone who really needed help she wanted Marvin to kill someone for her Rose got herself entangled in a far reaching conspiracy involving a corrupt arms dealer a shadow government agency and a new wave of high profile targets She was not asking Marvin to return to His old life she was forcing him into it using their shared history and his deep unresolved feelings for her as leverage She threatened to expose his past life and destroy the peaceful existence he painstakingly built if the refuses to help her
Reluctantly he agreed but with a condition that after the job is done he is out for good no more bloodshed no more killers just peace and quiet

Well that was only a promise that was hard to keep because As he reconnected with Rose he finds himself dragging deeper into the seedy underworld he thought he had left behind the tension between the two ex lovers resurfaced and old sparks ignites
Their undeniable chemistry wasn't the only thing Marvin needed to manage he also needs to survive a series of increasing bizarre and dangerous encounters

Now here comes Mark Marvin's bumbling yet well meaning best friend who has no idea about Marvin's past life Mark an ex cop turned private investigator was convinced that something was off about Marvin's recent behavior his meddling only added more chaos to Marvin's already complicated mission His bumbling antics provide much of the film humor he was our comic relief to Marvin's often tense and serious demeanor

As the movie climaxed Marvin and Rose found themselves in increasingly ridiculous situations from accidentally taking out the wrong target at a high society gala to surviving a car chase through the streets of San Francisco while trying to protect an innocent bystander not knowing he was an undercover agent
Marvin with his marital arts and incredible wild stuns fought to the very last the climactic battle takes place in a lavish high rise penthouse where all their enemies converge with a spectacle of stunts hand to hand combat and explosive action resulting in an unexpected twist that forces Marvin to confront his greatest fear His own inability to leave the violence behind
well that didn't just go down without a comedic moments that will definitely keep you laughing on the edge of your seat you know laughing one minute and gasping the next
Marvin relationship with Rose was also the heart of the movie as the two struggled to reconcile their past mistakes he realized that his life in the shadows cannot be easily shaken off he is forced to make a difficult choice either to embrace the chaos that's been chasing him or fight for a future with Rose that might require both of them to face the darkness in their pasts

In the final moments of the movie Marvin was offered a chance of redemption a chance to walk away from it all Rose equally torn between love and revenge makes a bold decision of her own one that could change the course of their lives forever

MY REVIEW OF THE MOVIE

LOVE HURTS is an action comedy that not only delivers heart pounding fight sequence and laugh out loud moments but it also explores the deeper themes of love redemption and the choices that define our lives a story of second chance rekindled love and the cost of a past that refused to stay buried and I must really commend the stellar performance of Marvin as our reluctant hero with his super sophisticated ex lover bringing depth to her role as the femme fatale and making me question if love truly conquers all
This is a movie Worth 99.9 percent of my stars
