IF YOU ARE GONE- MY MOVIE REVIEW
Is a trilling American movie that tells the story of a young Woman named Lilian ( masey McLain) who is struggling to cope with the loss of her boyfriend Brad(Ben Davies) The movie begins with Lilian and Brad seemingly perfect relationship showcasing their love for each other and their plans for a future together.
Tragedy strikes when Brad is killed in a car accident leaving Lillian devastated and heartbroken. As she navigates the grieving process. Lilian begins to question her faith and the purpose of her life, she feels lost and alone struggling to come to terms with the fact that Brad is nearly gone.
As Lilian tries to find her way ,she starts to drift away from her friends and family. Her relationship begin to suffer and she find herself feeling increasingly isolated. Despite her efforts to move on , Lilian can't shake the feeling that a part of her has been ripped away.
One day, Lilian receives a package in the mail from Brad' family. Inside she finds a series of letters that Brad has written to her before his death. As he reads through the letter, Lilian begins to see Brad's love for her in a new light. She realizes that his love was not just a feeling but a choice that he made everyday.
Through the letters, Brad shares his own struggles and doubts revealing a more vulnerable side of himself . Lilian is touched by his honesty and begins to feel a sense of connection to him again. As she reads on, she starts to see Brad's love for her was not just about romantic feelings but about a deep and abiding commitment to her well being.
As Lilian reflects on the letter, she begins to realize that her grief has been holding her back. She starts to see a chance she has a choice to make that she can't continue to let her grief define her or she can start to rebuild her life with new found determination. Lilian begins to take small steps towards healing, she reaches out to her friends and family and starts to reconnect with the people and things that bring joy to her.
Throughout the movie, Lilian's journey was so interwoven with flashbacks of her time with Brad. These flashbacks serve as a reminder of the love that they shared and provide a poignant contrast to Lilian's current state of grief. As the movie progresses,the flashbacks become less frequent, symbolizing Lilian's gradual recovery from the past.
Ultimately if you are gone is a movie about the power of love and refill of the human spirit. Through Lillian's story the movie shows that even in the darkest moment there is hope for healing and redemption. The movie ends on a hopeful note with Lilian emerging from her grief with a newfound sense of purpose and meaning.
