His previous role in Gladiator gave him the foundation to take on a memorable and complex role, which he undoubtedly manages to deliver with both charisma and pain, thus giving one of his best and most memorable performances. Finally, Jennifer Connelly, though unsophisticated in previous roles, here demonstrates a mutual attachment to her character and turns it into a heartwarming performance, providing the greatest emotional weight of her filmography, concluding a loyal, loving, and beloved character.
Saludos amigos de cinetv. Russell Crowe, nunca estuvo mejor en su carrera que en esta película. Su papel anterior en gladiador le dio las bases suficientes para encarar un papel memorable y complejo, que sin duda logra entregar con tanto carisma y dolor, dando así una de sus mejores interpretaciones y uno de sus papeles más memorables. Finalmente, Jennifer Connelly, siendo poco sofisticada en antiguos papeles, aquí demuestra un apego mutuo hacia su personaje y lo convierte en una entrañable actuación, proporcionando el peso emocional más grandioso de su filmografía, dando por concluido un personaje leal, cariñoso y querido.
A Beautiful Mind is a cinematic gem that addresses the challenges of living with schizophrenia. John Forbes Nash, mathematician, Nobel Prize winner in Economics, and genius, is the protagonist of a film that, while winning four Academy Awards and powerfully attracting the attention of Hollywood studios, managed to attract even more attention from specialists in psychology and psychiatry for its treatment of schizophrenia. This exceptional human being learned to live with schizophrenia throughout his life, applying the rule that "every problem has a solution." John Forbes Nash lived in a constant duality produced by his mind, having to differentiate between fantasy and reality.
Una mente brillante es una joya cinematográfica a la problemática de vivir con la esquizofrenia. John Forbes Nash, matemático, Premio Nobel de Economía y genio, es el protagonista dé una película que, si bien ganó cuatro Óscar de la Academia llamando poderosamente la atención de los estudios hollywoodienses, consiguió llamar aún más la atención de especialistas en psicología y psiquiatría, por tratar la temática de la esquizofrenia. Este ser humano excepcional aprende a vivir con la esquizofrenia durante toda su vida, aplicando una regla según la cual “todo problema tiene una solución”. John Forbes Nash vivía en una dualidad constante producida por su mente, teniendo que diferenciar entre la fantasía y la realidad.
The hallucinations and delusions never disappeared from his life, but he managed to keep them at bay to the point that, after years spent between psychiatric hospitals and doctors, he returned to teaching mathematics and was awarded one of the highest honors in the sciences and arts. It was that same brilliant mind that led him to worldwide recognition while he suffered and struggled to overcome his illness, having to undergo psychotropic drugs and electroshock therapy. Faced with this, John Nash devised a highly controversial way, not suitable for all patients, to cope with his illness without having to spend the rest of his life in a psychiatric hospital: accepting that he has hallucinations and ignoring them for the rest of his life.
Las alucinaciones y los delirios nunca desaparecieron de su vida, pero consiguió mantenerlas a raya hasta el punto de que, después de años entre psiquiátricos y médicos, volvió a dar clases de matemáticas y fue galardonado con una de las menciones más importantes de las ciencias y las artes. Fue esa misma mente brillante, la que le llevó al reconocimiento mundial, mientras padecía y luchaba por superar su enfermedad, teniendo que someterse a tratamientos psicofármacos, así como electroshock. Frente a esto, John Nash idea una manera altamente controvertida y no válida para todos los enfermos con la cual consigue lidiar con su enfermedad sin tener que pasar el resto de su vida en un psiquiátrico: aceptar que tiene alucinaciones e ignorarlas durante el resto de su vida.
Thanks to his great cognitive ability and intelligence, Nash learned through effort, patience, and training to differentiate reality from his delusions. He was a true example of personal growth. Although this film raises a series of questions that have yet to be resolved because they deal with morally and ethically controversial topics, I'm left with a question, like many who saw the film: Is schizophrenia curable or not? There's still much to learn about the most appropriate answers to these questions. But what is clear is that John Nash found his own unique way of coping with schizophrenia. Thanks to his brilliant mind, his personal talent, and the help and understanding of his wife, he managed to move forward, seeking to reconnect with the life he had left behind, in order to control his illness. Gracias a su gran capacidad cognitiva e inteligencia, Nash aprendió con esfuerzo, paciencia y entrenamiento a diferenciar la realidad de sus delirios. Fue todo un ejemplo de superación personal. Aunque esta película genera una serie de interrogantes que aún no han podido ser resueltos por tratarse de temas polémicos a nivel moral y ético. ¿Me queda una incógnita como muchos que vieron la película? ¿La esquizofrenia se cura o no se cura? Aún queda mucho por saber sobre cuáles pueden ser las respuestas más adecuadas a estos interrogantes. Pero lo que sí nos queda claro, es que John Nash encontró su manera particular de hacer frente a la esquizofrenia, gracias a su mente brillante, su capacidad personal, además a la ayuda y comprensión de su esposa logra salir adelante, busca interactuar nuevamente con la vida que había dejado, con la finalidad de controlar su enfermedad.
