(ENG/ESP) A Mangaka Diary #48 “Captain Harlock: The 3D Movie ” / Diario de una Mangaka #48 – “Capitán Harlock: La Película 3D”.
Anoche, mientras dibujaba una ilustración para participar en el Evento del Territorio de Creadores de Lords Mobile, me puse a ver la película “Capitán Harlock”.
He visto esta película incontable cantidad de veces y nunca me aburro de ella. Cada vez que la veo, encuentro cosas que no había visto antes o a las que no había puesto atención sobre la historia.
A muchos de los fans de este personaje no les gustó la adaptación. Si bien es cierto que tiene sus diferencias en cuanto al anime y el manga, es una historia donde se le da muy buen desempeño y desarrollo a Harlock como personaje principal de la historia.
La animación 3D es excelente y las expresiones faciales bastante reales. Los movimientos son bastante fluidos y naturales y las texturas de los trajes son impresionantes.
Si hablamos sobre la escenografía, lograron un buen ambiente futurista y espacial, considerando que las mayores batallas ocurren allí. El modelo del Arcadia, el barco espacial de Harlock, es impresionante e imponente, tanto en su aspecto externo como interno. Le pusieron mucha atención a los detalles.
En cuanto al argumento podría decir lo siguiente, sin hacer muchos spoilers para quienes no la han visto aún:
La historia básicamente se divide en dos situaciones donde Logan, un joven trata de compensar a su hermano por lo que hizo y Harlock quien busca desesperadamente una solución a lo que ocurrió en el pasado.
Ambas historias tienen algo en común: cómo las pasiones humanas pueden generar consecuencias indeseables que los perseguirá como una sombra y la búsqueda del perdón de sus errores.
Logan debe lidiar con el odio y el rencor de su hermano Ezra y a pesar de tratar de hacer todo lo posible por ganar su perdón, hay algo que va más allá de lo que físicamente Logan pueda darle en compensación.

Por su parte, Harlock busca poner solución a sus errores mientras lleva por dentro la culpa de todo lo ocurrido como consecuencia.

Sólo cuando Harlock consigue una muestra de que su error puede ser reparado es cuando finalmente decide perdonarse a sí mismo y retoma las fuerzas para continuar su pelea. Es una escena bastante conmovedora, sobre todo cuando recordamos que muchas veces estamos en la misma posición que él: cargando con una culpa interna y sin ser capaces de perdonarnos a nosotros mismos por los errores cometidos bien sea por ignorancia, falta de madurez o conocimiento.
Capitán Harlock es una película que más allá de la diversión que pueda proveer con las escenas de batallas y la asombrosa animación, contiene un mensaje para reflexionar y meditar sobre él.

Last night, while drawing an illustration to participate in the Lords Mobile Territory of Creators Event, I started watching the movie "Captain Harlock".
I have seen this movie countless times and never get bored of it. Every time I watch it, I find things I hadn't seen before or hadn't paid attention to in the story.
Many fans of this character didn't like the adaptation. While it's true that it has its differences from the anime and manga, it's a story where Harlock is given very good performance and development as the main character of the story.
The 3D animation is excellent, and the facial expressions are quite realistic. The movements are quite fluid and natural, and the textures of the costumes are impressive.
Regarding the scenery, they managed to create a good futuristic and spatial environment, considering that the major battles take place there. The model of the Arcadia, Harlock's spaceship, is impressive and imposing, both externally and internally. They paid a lot of attention to the details.
As for the plot, I could say the following without giving too many spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet:
The story basically divides into two situations where Logan, a young man, tries to make amends for what he did, and Harlock, who desperately seeks a solution to what happened in the past.
Both stories have something in common: how human passions can generate undesirable consequences that will haunt them like a shadow and the search for forgiveness of their mistakes.
Logan must deal with the hatred and resentment of his brother Ezra, and despite trying to do everything possible to earn his forgiveness, there is something beyond what Logan can physically give him in compensation.

Meanwhile, Harlock seeks to find a solution to his mistakes while carrying the guilt of everything that happened as a consequence.

Only when Harlock gets a glimpse that his mistake can be repaired does he finally decide to forgive himself and regain the strength to continue his fight. It's a quite moving scene, especially when we remember that many times we are in the same position as him: carrying internal guilt and being unable to forgive ourselves for the mistakes made, whether out of ignorance, immaturity, or lack of knowledge.
Captain Harlock is a movie that, beyond the entertainment it provides with battle scenes and amazing animation, contains a message to reflect and meditate on.
