Honestly, I was shocked when I saw the trailer. I didn't understand the story, but I understood it from the start. This anime is the third season of the anime "Blue Exorcist", and the story is adapted from the manga series of the same name by Kato Kazue. The anime will have 12 episodes, and the story will further explore the relationship between the Illuminati, Lucifer, and Rin and Izumo.

Summaries

The season begins with Rin and her friends on a mission in Shimane, Japan. Their job is to investigate a mysterious murder involving a demon hunter.

With the declaration of war by Lucifer, the Lord of Light, all branches of the Knights of the True Cross had fallen into chaos. Meanwhile, Yukio, Rin, and the rest of Exwire travel to Izumo's hometown in Shimane Prefecture to bring Izumo and Shima home. Izumo is kidnapped and imprisoned in an Illuminati-controlled Far Eastern laboratory. When Izumo wakes up, he finds Shima wearing an Illuminati uniform. Then he also met someone with whom he had a deep connection.

Takara summons Izumo's familiar, the fox god Mike, and tells him about the past surrounding the Kamiki family and the Inari Taisha Shrine. Tamamo, Izumo, and Kujuku's mother come from a lineage of shrine maidens, and she serves as the head of the family who must shoulder the burden of controlling the Kyuubi, a fox demon. After hearing about Izumo's past from Mike, Rin and her friends head to the peaceful town of Inari, believed to be the entrance to the Illuminati's underground research laboratory. Meanwhile, in the laboratory, Izumo is taken to a room where Michael Gedoin awaits a detailed examination. Izumo shouts to make noise and calls Uke and Mike, giving them a chance to escape. He tries to escape from the underground laboratory, but Renzo Shima blocks his way.

Michael Gedouin highly praised and admired Lucifer, and took further steps to ensure the success of his Elixir research. He devises a plan to separate Rin and his team so that each member can fend for themselves. Gedoin talks about how the Far Eastern Research Institute became the main base for experimenting with immortality elixirs, and how he revealed the truth about the peaceful city of Inari, angering everyone in the process. Just then, Izumo appears - on her way to fulfill her wish of undergoing Kyuubi transplant surgery. Rin takes out Korai's sword to save Izumo. Rin hits Shima when he tries to stop him from helping Rin. Rin reaches out to help Izumo, but...Forcibly possessed by the Kyuubi, Izumo gathers his energy.
