366 days on Hive: To the Lake (netflix series review)(40/366)

Saludos hivers, feliz casi fin de semana, por allí en los servidores discord vi a más de uno contento porque ya van a estar libres, sin embargo yo todo lo contrario, un poco pensativo con el hecho de tener que levantarme super temprano para ir a clases mañana y más aun por el hecho de que tengo examen y no he estudiado nada porque no entiendo lo que he escrito en mi cuaderno (lol).

Pero bueno, no por eso voy a dejar de ser productivo en el día así que vamos al ruedo con la reseña que les tengo hoy sobre una serie bastante buena, pero a la vez decepcionante, y lo digo de una vez por si casualidad de la vida tienen interés en verla, pues advierto, te deja literalmente en visto el final y con pocas probabilidades de que haya una segunda temporada.

Lo extraño de esto, es que al parecer netflix no se ha pronunciado en contra de hacer una segunda temporada, pero se suponía debía salir un año después y creo que ha pasado más tiempo de eso, así que o los productores han perdido el interés, o simplemente netflix les cerro la puerta de forma privada.

Esta serie consta de 8 capítulos lo cual le cataloga como mini serie, sin embargo por el hecho de que pueda existir otras temporadas creo que no esta bien clasificado por ahora. Lo que si es que cada capitulo es bastante intenso, y más por el hecho de tratarse de sobrevivencia.

[English Text] Greetings hivers, happy almost weekend, over there in the discord servers I saw more than one happy because they are going to be free, however me on the contrary, a little pensive with the fact of having to get up super early to go to class tomorrow and even more for the fact that I have an exam and I have not studied anything because I do not understand what I have written in my notebook (lol).


But well, that's not why I'm not going to stop being productive in the day so let's get to the point with the review I have for you today about a pretty good series, but at the same time disappointing, and I say it once and for all in case by chance of life you are interested in watching it, because I warn you, it literally leaves you in the end and with little chance that there will be a second season.


The strange thing about this, is that apparently Netflix has not spoken out against making a second season, but it was supposed to come out a year later and I think it has been longer than that, so either the producers have lost interest, or simply Netflix closed the door privately.


This series consists of 8 chapters which catalogs it as a mini series, however for the fact that there may be other seasons I think it is not well classified for now. What is true is that each chapter is quite intense, and more for the fact that it is about survival.

Una de las primeras cosas que me causó ver esta serie, es el recordar todo el caos vivido en el 2019-2020 con todo el tema del covid, pues justamente esta mini serie se basa en la supervivencia humana del territorio Ruso, donde un fuerte patógeno desconocido amenaza con la extinción de todo un país.

Si bien los síntomas no son nada parecidos al Covid, el comportamiento de este virus pandémico es el mismo, un poder de propagación tan voraz que te hace sentir en una película de terror, además de lo desagradable que debe ser ver morir a una persona que queda ciega y vomita hasta el alma antes de su ultimo respiro.

Lo que voy a criticar de esta serie, a pesar de que son eventos que fácilmente pueden ocurrir en la vida real, es el hecho de mostrar niños como victimas de escenas un poco fuertes, considero que si bien estos inocentes no están exentos de sufrir tales cosas, la verdad es que prefiero ni verlo.

Más que todo por el poco sentido humano que hubo con respecto al control de esta enfermedad, en la que básicamente las acciones de los militares ante el pueblo infectado fue extinguirlos por completo, y esto hace que el terror se propague y por ende errores como matar a personas no afectas ocurran mucho.

[English Text] One of the first things that caused me to watch this series, is to remember all the chaos lived in 2019-2020 with the whole issue of covid, because just this mini series is based on human survival in the Russian territory, where a strong unknown pathogen threatens the extinction of an entire country.


Although the symptoms are nothing similar to Covid, the behavior of this pandemic virus is the same, a power of propagation so voracious that makes you feel in a horror movie, besides how unpleasant it must be to see a person die blind and vomit up to the soul before his last breath.


What I will criticize about this series, even though they are events that could easily happen in real life, is the fact of showing children as victims of scenes a little strong, I think that although these innocents are not exempt from suffering such things, the truth is that I prefer not to see it.


Mostly because of the little human sense there was regarding the control of this disease, in which basically the actions of the military before the infected people was to extinguish them completely, and this makes the terror spread and therefore errors such as killing people not affected occur much.

Extrañamente no mostraron un escenario donde la comida en los anaqueles desaparecían, incluso más bien tenían el control de esto, dejando la ciudad cerrada solo para que los camiones con comida pasaran a descargar, sin embargo, bastante contradictorio con el hecho de que a su vez hacían redadas para dar con el resto de las personas con vida y matarlas.

Esto hace pensar que la causa de todo este virus y el paciente cero, haya sido una victima de algún tipo de experimento o error en un laboratorio al dejar escapar el patógeno por alguna circunstancia. Dando como primera escena de todo lo sucedido a un hombre con ojos cegados cayendo en un rio o lago de donde se supone el agua se procesa para que llegue a las casas.

Entonces no esta del todo claro el origen del virus, si fue algo natural o creado en un laboratorio, lo que hace pensar que dan un mensaje alusivo a la real situación de Covid.

Sin embargo, dentro de esta misma serie se refleja también el comportamiento humano, no solo por la parte de los militares, las personas del pueblo en si todas responden de una manera diferente e incluso bastante inhumana, todo con la excusa de la supervivencia propia.

This makes us think that the cause of all this virus and patient zero, has been a victim of some kind of experiment or error in a laboratory by letting the pathogen escape for some reason. Giving as the first scene of everything that happened a man with blinded eyes falling into a river or lake where the water is supposed to be processed to reach the houses.


So it is not entirely clear the origin of the virus, if it was something natural or created in a laboratory, which makes us think that they give an allusive message to the real situation of Covid.


However, within this same series, human behavior is also reflected, not only on the part of the military, the people of the town themselves all respond in a different and even quite inhuman way, all with the excuse of their own survival.

Me gusto que dentro de todo el caos hayan agregado algo importante que tal vez nunca lo llegamos a pensar y es el hecho del comportamiento de personas con espectro autista dentro de una situación que los pone no solo en riesgo, también a prueba para ver cómo se desenvuelven en un mundo donde lo humano se va perdiendo socialmente.

Claramente no podía faltar familias disfuncionales, creo que siempre es el agregado perfecto ante estas situaciones donde luego dan a mostrar que ante la supervivencia y todos los eventos que pasan, hace que como personas o cambien para bien, o para mal en el ámbito familiar.

Hay un tanto de rencores acá, traición, intento de abuso y a mi parecer varias escenas que la verdad debieron quedarse sin siquiera imaginarlo. Sin embargo, no dejan de ser puntos validos que pues, repito nuevamente, son cosas que pueden pasar en la realidad pero que omitimos.

En cuanto al ambiente de la serie, pues básicamente todo es nieve y me asombra que ninguno se haya muerto de frio, pero es que bueno, el virus iba a perder entonces sentido con esto. Casi llegando al final se muestra lo que parece la esperanza de la raza humana, pero ya en los minutos finales, se deja ver que no es del todo cierto.

[English Text] I liked that within all the chaos they have added something important that perhaps we never thought about and that is the fact of the behavior of people with autism spectrum in a situation that puts them not only at risk, but also to test to see how they cope in a world where the human is being lost socially.


Clearly we could not miss dysfunctional families, I think it is always the perfect addition to these situations where then give to show that survival and all the events that happen, makes people change for the better or for the worse in the family environment.

As for the environment of the series, basically everything is snow and I am amazed that no one has died of cold, but well, the virus was going to lose sense with this. Almost reaching the end, what seems to be the hope of the human race is shown, but already in the final minutes, it is clear that it is not entirely true.
