The OA (netflix series review)

Saludos Hivers, feliz mitad de semana para todos. Hoy no vamos a tener gameplay porque he tenido un mal día, sin embargo, les vengo a no recomendar una serie que vi hace unas semanas atrás con mi pareja.

La recomendación de no verla, es porque principalmente ha sido cancelada las posteriores temporadas de la serie, algo que se ha vuelto hábito en netflix y por lo cual muchos ya le estamos agarrando cierto odio a la plataforma por estas decisiones.

Por otro lado la serie en si, es demasiado buena en un sentido que cada capítulo te atrapa. Por cierto ciertas escenas son muy conocidas específicamente en la plataforma tik tok por un evento que se da enmarcado a la vida real y los atentados en las escuelas.

The OA es una serie de ciencia y ficción, las siglas tienen como significado "El ángel original" pero yo lo tomo más en un sentido simbólico pues no está bien explicado al 100% o más bien demostrado que las personas que están en cautiverio en esta serie sean realmente ángeles.

! [English Text] Greetings Hivers, happy midweek to all. Today we are not going to have gameplay because I had a bad day, however, I come to not recommend a series that I saw a few weeks ago with my partner.


The recommendation not to watch it, is mainly because it has been canceled subsequent seasons of the series, something that has become a habit in Netflix and why many of us are already grabbing some hatred to the platform for these decisions.


On the other hand the series itself, is too good in a sense that each chapter grabs you. By the way, certain scenes are very well known specifically on the tik tok platform for an event that is framed in real life and the attacks on schools.


The OA is a science fiction series, the acronym means "The original angel" but I take it more in a symbolic sense because it is not well explained 100% or rather demonstrated that the people who are in captivity in this series are really angels.

Esta serie se hizo tan famosa en su tiempo, que incluso pueden conseguir en youtube fanáticos en las calles haciendo los 5 movimientos.

Estos movimientos son la parte central de esta serie, dado que sirve como ruta de escape para cinco personas que están secuestradas con la razón de que son seres especiales que han presenciado la muerte y de alguna forma eligieron regresar a la vida.

Un científico, obsesionado con saber qué es lo que hay más allá de la muerte, secuestra a varias personas para hacer experimentos con ellos. Básicamente es matarlos sabiendo que estos de alguna forma inexplicable vuelven a la vida.

! [English Text] These movements are the central part of this series, since it serves as an escape route for five people who are kidnapped with the reason that they are special beings who have witnessed death and somehow chose to come back to life.


A scientist, obsessed with knowing what lies beyond death, kidnaps several people to do experiments on them. Basically, he kills them knowing that they somehow inexplicably come back to life.

Ante el dolor, la frustración y el deseo de tener una oportunidad para poder escapar de dicho infierno, estas personas idea un plan para poder escapar.

Es entonces cuando empiezan a manifestar en sus muertes movimientos que le son otorgados a cada uno, y con ello descubren que sus almas pueden viajar a una dimensión diferente.

OA es representada por una joven que había sido secuestrada desde sus 7 años de edad. Ya adulta luego de escapar de alguna forma que no se explica de inicio, se encuentra con una vida que parece no ser la suya o más bien, no ser su real dimensión.

Esto por supuesto empieza a crear ciertas lagunas en la serie que con cada capítulo se van explicando, y de momento también narrando por la misma OA quien decide hacer un grupo con 5 personas más para intentar salvar a sus amigos.

! [English Text]Faced with pain, frustration and the desire to have a chance to escape from this hell, these people come up with a plan to escape.


It is then when they begin to manifest in their deaths movements that are granted to each one, and with this they discover that their souls can travel to a different dimension.


OA is represented by a young girl who had been kidnapped since she was 7 years old. As an adult, after escaping in a way that is not explained at the beginning, she finds herself in a life that seems not to be hers, or rather, not her real dimension.


This of course begins to create certain gaps in the series that are explained with each chapter, and at the moment also narrated by OA herself, who decides to form a group with 5 other people to try to save her friends.

La serie puede tornarse un poco lenta, pero es interesante ver cómo desnudan el alma humana y a la sociedad. En particular hay una escena en la escuela donde se habla de la vocación como maestros que te deja perplejo.

Tiene un grado de tensión muy interesante que nos hace reflexionar sobre muchos eventos, desde lo que sufren las personas que pierden a alguien, hasta el efecto traumático que producen los eventos de la vida.

Hay un rasgo en cuanto a las dimensiones que destaca en mi pensar el hecho de lo distinto que puede ser nuestras vidas tal vez por alguna decisión o camino que podamos tomar.

La actriz principal es la misma escritora según entiendo de esta historia, y lastimosamente no se habla aun de una tercera temporada que la verdad es muy necesaria dado que queda inconclusa la principal misión del ángel original.

! [English Text] The series can be a bit slow, but it is interesting to see how they strip the human soul and society. In particular there is a scene in the school where they talk about the vocation as teachers that leaves you perplexed.


It has a very interesting degree of tension that makes us reflect on many events, from what people suffer when they lose someone, to the traumatic effect of life events.


There is a feature in terms of dimensions that stands out in my thinking the fact of how different our lives can be perhaps because of some decision or path we may take.


The main actress is the same writer as I understand this story, and unfortunately there is still no talk of a third season, which is really necessary since the main mission of the original angel remains unfinished.
