There are many films that talk about robots and highlight their feature and their effect on the characters and the story these films are distinguished by presenting exciting and impressive scenes that highlight technological capabilitis and supernatural power of robots some of them also explore good and philosophical issues around artificial intelligence and their impact on humanity which made it interesting and leave a strong impression.
Finch is a science fiction and drama film released in 2021 which the story is on a man named Finch (starring Tom Hanks) who live in a post-apocalyptic world and Finch is building a robot named "Jeff" (voiced by Kelton Sutherland) to be his companion and assistant on his journey through the barren desert.
The Story
The film tells the story of Finch and his attempt to live in this destroyed world. finch struggles with his loneliness and tries to find a safe place to live. jeff uses the skill he is equiped with to help Finch in this difficult task as well as providing the welfare and care of a dog named "Godspeed", who is an influential companion on Finchs journey.
The story deals with issues of humanity such as unity, resilience and sacrifice. Finch seeks to restore hope and faith in an unknown future, and he find that in the robot he create and his loyal dog. they all learn the importance of family and human relationships in the face of challenges and hardships.
What makes Finch special?
First as I mentioned to you it is a touching story which the film revolves around the story of Finch and his battle to survive and find hope in a post-disaster world and the film deals emotionally with issues of unity and steadfastness and sacrifice which makes the story poignant and inspiring.
The film stars Tom Hanks are a talented actor who is loved by audiences and Hanks give an amazing performance as usual as he embodies the character of Finch perfectly and convey the characters expressions and feelings powerfully.
The film also has beautiful and good cinematography as it uses wide frames and panoramic scene to highlight the desert and the devastated world in which Finch live where distinctive photography helps convey the aesthitic and visual power of the story.
The relationship between humans and robot is a complex and good one between Finch and the robot Jeff as their relationship evolve from a cautieus beginning to trust and friendship in which highlighting the human spirit and moral values in the face of technology.
Finally in this post I would like to say that the movie “Finch” presents a poignant story that combines scientific and dramatic elements and explores the strong bonds between humans and technology and the truth of the human spirit in diffirent circumstances.
