CineTV Contest: Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. Fun at Hospital
Once again, Cine TV gives us the opportunity to write about one of our favorite movie and this time it should be about medical drama genre. Click here to get more details on it.
Without having any second thought, my favorite medical movie is Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. Although it is more of a comedy genre but it is the only movie in my mind which revolves around the word medical.
It was a super hit movie and loved by many. I loved the main character played by Mr. Sanjay Dutt, mainly because of his acting and wonderful script. It was something new for me to see a goon turning into a nice man because of his parents.
I loved this movie because of its story-line and the characters. Each character played his role excellently and was perfect. It is popular for its TAPORI language, slang language mainly used in the streets of Mumbai.
Arshad Warsi played the role of “Circuit” and it is one of his best performance. He did best to entertain the audience and the chemistry with Mr. Sanjay Dutt was outstanding.
It is a story of a goon who in his childhood left his village as he was not good in studies and his father wants him to be a doctor. Later on, he becomes a criminal but to make his parents happy, he lied that he becomes a doctor and runs a hospital of his own. Every once a year, his parents visit him. The real story starts when his parents pushed him to marry one of their friend’s daughter who was also a doctor. It was fun to watch a goon studying in a medical university in his own style. There were many lines and saying from this movie which becomes very popular all over the world.
I think the movie is not close to the reality because hospitals cannot be changed in the way it shows in this movie. It is clearly understandable that hospitals are considered to be scary place and if any doctor got attached with the patient emotionally, they cannot provide him real treatment to cure his disease. It is something we all have made up our minds with. We cannot celebrate or party at hospitals. There are people whose loved ones are in critical situation and we just cannot ignore it and cheer up our patient to make him happy. It is not that easy to handle the situation as Doctors do to inform someone with the bad news. This movie shows us the hospital from a different angle which is not acceptable in our societies but one can imagine that it could be a good way for the improvements in the patients, it depends.
Yes, the characters and story is believable as an exceptional case. There is a possibility of having such hospital having those characters but one in a million. I would definitely want to work in that environment where patients are treated with songs and fun games instead to giving doses of tensions. As we all know the strict discipline which is followed in the hospitals, one can barely spend a night of terror between those walls but if you know there would be carom and party after midnight then who would not want to be the part of that organization.
It is such an interesting movie that I definitely recommend this film to everyone in this community to watch and enjoy the fun life of a thug being a medical student.

I heard some horrific experiences on some hospitals. As you said in this post of your, I also agree that patients and their families needs a lot of emotional support. I also do understand that the medical staffs get a lot of pressure in their work (imagine being in charge on the life of a person) that makes me highly appreciate when I hear them support their patients emotionally.
This movie seems entertaining to watch.
