Some Movies and TV Shows are more than just Fun
At this stage of life, to relief stress and have some relaxation, I do watch TV as there are many channels to watch movies and the one which looks interested, stopped me for moving on for next channel however, there was a time when I used to download movies and watch them at night. It is a fact that we all do watch movies for fun and entertainment but then some of the movies and TV shows are more than just fun as they leave a powerful impact on our minds and somehow are meant to be life changing movies and TV shows.
I could say that each movie or TV show have an impact on viewer as it depends on the life and mindset of the viewer. All of us have different mindsets and way of thinking so it totally depends who finds himself in such a situation similar to in the movie or resembling of characters and finding yourself in one of the characters in a movie can impact your way of thinking.
Talking about TV shows, I was a big fan of Indian MasterChef and Bigg Boss (Indian version of Big Borther). I used to watch Bigg Boss online at late nights and I was criticized a lot by family and friends because it was not considered a good show. Many says it is all fixed and scripted but whatever it is, I like watching it because I get to learn a lot from it. Different people from different fields are put together in a house disconnected from outer world and they have to survive through various tasks and strategies. As a viewer, we can clearly see who is doing the right thing and who is manipulating, such scenarios and situations make us think of the possibilities and what needs to be done but was wrongly did by the contestant. Plenty of things going around in a house. It shows us how to manage things by ourselves and discipline to be followed, way of treating others even if you don’t know them very well. I really liked this show and learnt a lot of positive things from it. Key thing is the patience and waiting for the right time to talk so it becomes valuable. Even if you are right, screaming and forcefully making others believe you are right is not the correct way of living. I used to be a big fan of Biss Bogg and watched several seasons of it. My favorite contestants mostly win or came second which shows that majority of people think likewise and majority of people knows the difference between right and wrong because their voting totally depends of viewers.
Talking about Movies, everyone knows that there are plenty of motivational and inspirational movies. I usually watch Bollywood movies so I will share few examples from Bollywood. First to talk about which touched me deeply is Baghbaan. This surely is one of the most emotional movies I have ever seen. I do watch it again and again just to have a reminder in my mind about the life I was provided by my parents till I got married and have my own kids now. The respect and love should not be taken away all by my wife and kids. Each family member has his own value and should have his valuable place in the heart. This movie shows the reality as majority of Children do avoid Parents and leave them all alone after marriage. It is OK to be independent and live separately but in such a busy life, do not forget your parents. This Movie has a deep impact on my mind and my life as I don’t want to be such a son or husband as shown in this movie.
Another movie with a lesson for viewers is “Taare Zameen Per” which means stars on the Earth. This truly is a masterpiece which very delicately spread the message regarding a relation between parents and their children in terms of studies. It is mainly in India and Pakistan that Parents get too strict and overburden their children for studies. I believe that each and every kid has their own weaknesses and strengths and all are not same so first thing to avoid is comparison and the other thing is pressurizing on marks and grades. In all this, we forget that what kid is going through. Whether she/he is comfortable in learning or if in case any major issue, we need to consult with the experts. However, this does not happen in Pakistan and India so through this movie, they asked all Parents viewers to try to find out the major problem in studies of their children instead of scolding and beating them without any reason. I am totally against overburdening and pressurizing kids for the grades and marks. Well, that’s it from my side for the last topic of this week from HL community.
Thank you for the love and support Bhatt G!!!
