Reviviendo la Navidad:: Te comento un poco de lo que trata. ¡¡¡Alerta de Spoiler!!! [Esp/Eng]

Well, well. It's supposed to be Christmas time and the night of the big dinner is coming soon. So, for sure, you're already looking for something to watch with the family and here I am to share with you a good option for the whole family.

Today's movie is entitled: Reviving Christmas.
I must confess that what caught my attention was seeing the actor Mauricio Ochmann on the cover of the movie, later when I started watching it I was even more surprised when I saw Ana Brenda Contreras. Yes, I was surprised because I had always seen them acting in soap operas. Although, they didn't disappoint me.
The movie starts in Chuy's room where his children are asking for some Christmas presents, a few minutes later his wife Daniela enters with a birthday cake. Yes, it's Chuy's birthday, but, to his bad luck, it's the same day as Christmas Eve and this makes his birthday go into the background for many of his family members. Although, yes, we will see that some call him and the first thing they do is congratulate him, but then they start asking him to do things, making Chuy full of tasks to be done.
Poor Chuy, if he only knew the trouble he would get into when he accidentally almost ran over a man crossing the street.

La película para hoy tiene por titulo: Reviviendo la Navidad.
Debo confesar que lo que me llamo la atención fue haber visto al actor Mauricio Ochmann en la portada de la película, más tarde cuando inicio a verla me sorprendo aun más cuando veo a Ana Brenda Contreras. Si, me sorprende porque siempre los había visto actuando en novelas. Aunque, no me decepcionaron.
La película inicia en la habitación de Chuy donde se encuentran sus hijos pidiendo algunos regalos de navidad, unos minutos después entra su esposa Daniela con un pastel de cumpleaños. Si, es el cumpleaños de Chuy, pero, para su mala suerte cumple el mismo día de noche buena y esto hace que su cumpleaños pase a segundo plano para muchos de sus familiares. Aunque si, vamos a ver que algunos lo llaman y lo primero que hacen es felicitarlo pero en seguida comienzan a pedirle que haga cosas haciendo que Chuy se llene de tareas por realizar.
Pobre Chuy, si supiera en el lío en que se metería cuando accidentalmente casi atropella a un hombre que se encontraba cruzando la calle.

In the movie there was some magic that made me think that it would be something very similar to the movie where Scrooge appears, and yes, there were some similar scenes, like the one where you see that Scrooge has a lot of money and his employee asks him for some to solve a need and he is denied. Well, something similar happens here, although you'd have to have seen the Scrooge movie to notice that similarity.

I spent much of the movie trying to find another resemblance to some of the cartoons that used to happen at Christmas. You might find the same thing happening to you, as you go to observe the power of magic. Here, Chuy is bewitched into repeating his birthday until he learns a lesson. Although the years go by and Chuy receives some advice on what to do, he fails to pay attention to what really matters to have a great Christmas Eve. On the contrary, he manages to get even angrier and make a wish that, because of his anger, he fails to perceive the consequence it would have.

Unfortunately, as we are about to see, Chuy sees another day that is no longer his birthday, but this time he finds himself with the bitter taste that he no longer has a family and that Daniela no longer wants anything to do with him. Not only that, he also finds the heartbreaking news that his mother had lost her life and it is there where he really stops to see everything he had for a long time and did not know how to value, because he was focused on things that now made no sense to him.
Poor Chuy, this time he would have no way to go back to the past to avoid making the same mistakes.

En la película había algo de magia que me hizo pensar que sería algo muy similar a la película donde sale Scrooge, y es que sí, se presentaron algunas escenas similares, como esa donde se ve que Scrooge tiene mucho dinero y su empleado le pide un poco para solventar una necesidad y se lo niegan. Bueno, algo similar pasa aquí, aunque tendrías que haber visto la película de Scrooge para poder notar ese parecimiento. Pasé gran parte de la película tratando de encontrar otro parecimiento con algunas de las caricaturas que antes pasaban en la Navidad.
Puede que te pase lo mismo, ya que vas a observar el poder de la magia. Aquí, Chuy es hechizado para que repita el día de su cumpleaños hasta que logre aprender una lección.
A pesar de que pasan los años y Chuy recibe algunos consejos sobre lo que debe hacer, no logra prestar atención a lo que verdaderamente importa para tener una gran Nochebuena. Al contrario, logra enfadarse aún más y pedir un deseo que, por el enojo, no logra percibir la consecuencia que tendría.
Lamentablemente, vamos a ver que sí, Chuy ve un día más que ya no es su cumpleaños, pero esta vez se encuentra con el amargo sabor de que ya no tiene familia y de que Daniela ya no quiere más nada con él.
No solo eso, también se encuentra con la desgarradora noticia de que su madre había perdido la vida y es allí donde realmente se detiene a ver todo lo que por mucho tiempo tuvo y no supo valorar, ya que estaba concentrado en cosas que ahora para él no tenían sentido.
Pobre Chuy, esta vez no tendría como volver al pasado para evitar cometer los mismos errores.

I don't want to ruin the surprises for those who haven't seen the movie yet, so I try not to give too many details.
What I can tell you is that it is a very beautiful movie, with a beautiful teaching, as it shows you the consequences that you could have by not dedicating time to the people who love you. It teaches you that sometimes you are not alone in the world and, therefore, you can't only worry about yourself, and that maybe you should do better than your parents did.
It also shows that parental love can be unconditional.
Be prepared for a couple of tears to slip out, to laugh and to hate Chuy. You may very well say, like me, when you see Daniela doing something for a long time, no man, me being Daniela, I don't do anything to her anymore. You could even say that they put up with a lot.

No quiero arruinarles las sorpresas a quienes aún no han visto la película, por eso trato de no dar muchos detalles.
Lo que sí puedo decirte es que es una película muy bonita, con una enseñanza hermosa, ya que te muestra las consecuencias que podrías tener al no dedicar tiempo a las personas que te aman. Te enseña que a veces no estás solo en el mundo y, por tanto, no solo puedes preocuparte por ti, y que tal vez debes hacerlo mejor de lo que lo hicieron tus padres.
También muestra que el amor de los padres puede ser incondicional.
Prepárate para que se te escapen un par de lágrimas, para reír y odiar a Chuy. Es muy posible que digas, al igual que yo, cuando veas a Daniela haciendo algo por mucho tiempo, que no hombre, yo siendo Daniela, no le hago más nada. Incluso podrías decir que más bien aguantaron mucho.

For my part, Reviving Christmas receives a score of 10/10 for being a movie that you can trust you can watch with the whole family because it has no unpleasant scenes.
