Love Kennedy is a movie which was released in the year 2017. For some reason I only came across it today and after going through the comments on TikTok I realised it was on YouTube.

It’s a movie which was directed by T.C Christensen. It features a couple of new faces who I believe in the Christian side of acting. It’s a movie which spans from a young girls life story who was affected by a disease at the early stage of her life. Love Kennedy features people like Tatum Chinquy who acted as Kennedy in this movie. Heather Beers, Scarlet Hazen, Jason Wade, Shona Kay coupled with others.

For me I specifically liked the role the lead character played in this movie. From the start of the movie till the end of the movie she acted like someone who has been in such a situation before. I must say that I didn’t like her role before she got the disease though. As a kid I kind of not liked her character but as the older Kennedy came into being I love it.

The next character I liked was that of her parents. I’d be on the side of her dad and say he acted really well. He knew how to show his emotions which men in my part of the world are not allowed to do.

Since the general sentiment around the movie was that of inspiring people not to see a disease as an end of the world, most of the scenes had to do with stories of hope even after being hit by a huge test. In Kennedy’s case she didn’t even see her illness as a problem. She always thought she was her old self and boy she was full of life.

In the movie they refused to portray something which I think wasn’t up to them. For most people who are afflicted by this type of disease they’ll always have someone to hate on them for no reason, but in this movie there was no one who hated Kennedy. Yes, there were a few cases of no believe in her but they made it seem like even the real Kennedy after she was hit with that illness had no issues.

The general feeling about this movie is one that centers heavily around emotions. I warn you, you might be left teary early on in the movie and as the movie goes on you’ll have more and more tears trying to force its way down your cheek. If I was asked to pick one of my best scenes it’ll probably be then Kennedy was able to go to a school dance.

One thing that has been introduced in our movies is kissing. I am not saying people shouldn’t kiss in movies but sometimes you don’t even know why people are kissing in a movie? In this movie I can’t remember a single scene of people kissing yet there were ways of display affection without kissing. I say this cause I am in total disagreement of the kind of scenes which are in the air for children to see.

One other scene that I liked so much was a dancing scene. In that scene they portrayed an attitude worth illuminating for most young men in society. They portrayed for young men to stand up as heroes even if they don’t like it.

I don’t have much complaints about this movie as it was carefully crafted. Most of the characters in this movie are not know in the movie industry yet they played their roles so well. I’d say I’ll give this a 10/10 but then no movie can be 100% so I’d give it an 8.5/10 rating which is still a very good rating.

I’d recommend this movie to people who like low and emotion filled movies. This is for you.

As much as I'm trying to stay away from films that are too loaded with emotion these days, I believe this is a film worthy of note and I'm surely adding it to my watchlist for the days I need something to cry about. Thanks for sharing, @rubilu. It is lovely to see you in the community.🌺

Thanks and it’s good to be here too. Now that I am reviving watching movies as a career 😂

Productions inspired by real life are one step ahead of fiction movies because they are from within life and the emotional aspect is predominant.
