Madgaon Express and family time
A perfect time pass without carrying anything home
Madgaon Express is a movie about three childhood friends going to a trip to Goa to enjoy but gets trapped in different circumstances making their lives hell. We wanted to enjoy a comedy film and this was our only choice on screen now. The movie is just a time pass with some decent comedy that would probably liked more by youth audience. It did not match our expectation, but still we enjoyed carrying nothing. The film is a directional debut of Kunal Khemu (if you know), and given that it's his first venture, it was kind of ok. The movie is more on situational comedy, unlike comedy films of our time, where actors like Govinda, Rajpal Yadav or Johny lever would make you laugh throughout the movie.
On our way back a family lunch was well deserved as we went for a morning show after a long time. Our favorite restaurant is serving the teaser Pakhala, the authentic cuisine of my place that is eaten by almost everyone ( rich or poor) in summer. The dish is made of fermented rice, with side items and they are advertising by making it pretty affordable at ₹200/ for the vegetarian and ₹300 for the non-veg. Pakhala will be on our menu at home almost everyday for next 3-4 months to beat the scorching heat of summer.
We make 3-4 items at home, but they were serving a lot of items.
The vegan combo above is no less in quantity. In the non-vegan, they serve fish, egg omelet and chicken, but I preferred fish, so they replaced the chicken with fish.
Kids went for their choice of menu, though they also love Pakhala at home.
And some desert of our choice to wind up the day.
And wish you all a very Happy Holi, it's celebrated today in many parts of India, but we are waiting for tomorrow. So you will see some colorful post tomorrow.

I have watched Kunal khemu as an actor in movies and I am surprised and happy to know that it was directed by Kunal khemu.
I could not recall properly that I have watched this movie or just some clips on Facebook but I have familiarity with it.
But, my favorite comedy movies are always of Akshay Kumar.

Not familiar on the movie, but the only Bollywood movie I saw was "Three Idiots".
The poster looks comedic.
