Is he Mahesh? Is he Pachu? Oh - wait, he is Fahadh.
A few weeks back, a movie by the name of 'Pachuvum Adbuthavilakkum' was released in the theaters. It was released on Amazon Prime later on.
This movie is a very feel-good one that one can watch safely along with the family and can repeatedly watch whenever you feel like it. I am not sure why the movie was not a great success and why no one bothered to talk about it because it is so full of life and with a good message of the need to educate girl children and portrays the realities behind the show.
Fahadh Fazil is the lead star who plays 'Pachu'. Pachu runs an Ayurveda store in Mumbai. He rents it from Riyaz who requests him to travel along with his aged mother to Mumbai. He agrees and the mother who is very charming and pleasant does not inform Pachu and gets down near Goa. Pachu and a small boy get down along with her but she sprays pepper spray on them and walks off. They trace her to a lady's house who does not allow them inside.
Pachu informs Riyaz and he comes to pick her up but the mother requests Pachu secretly to go and find a young girl who is held captive by her family and free her from bondage and bring her back to her because the old lady knows that the young girl likes to study but is forced to work as a maid. Pachu agrees and tries hard and in the end succeeds. The aged mother also advises her son to stop running after money and do some good deeds.
Fahadh Fazil is a gem that needs more recognition and rewards. He makes the audience feel that he is Pachu. In another movie, he is Mahesh, the photographer, and in yet another - the psycho Shammi. So, it is the brilliance of his acting that makes watching his movies a worthwhile experience.

Pachuvum Adbuthavilakkum can be seen with the help of subtitles if it is not available in other languages.
A lot of relevant social messages are conveyed through the movie. One is the importance of educating the girl child. Female children are not given much importance and have to wait for their turn even to eat food sometimes and this is still the practice in many houses especially in rural areas. It is time such inhuman practices are stopped.
Another issue is the abuse of females in states where slum areas exist. Many girl children are thrust with the responsibility of cooking food along with studies while the sons are allowed to roam free, take drugs, and do nothing but live irresponsibly. Well, not all but many. So, the one who fights hard against the system is often ignored or abused. The governments do a lot to uplift such people but many do not see light for want of money and lack of willpower.
Movies like Pachuvum Adbuthavilakkum should be shown in such areas to educate the masses and encourage the education of female children.
I am sure you will love to watch this movie.
