When it comes to side stories of incredibly good shows, it's really easy to make mistakes.
Two shows having different directors who may have different ideas yet the shows are meant to follow a storyline and purposely link with one another.

Plot

Awakening one's superpowers can be scary for both you and the people around you, yet few have such a traumatic experience as Marie Moreau did.
Her powers took away her parents and drove away her sister, leaving her alone in a superhuman orphanage home.
Fortunately, see gets admission into A+ Superhuman school Gudolken University (God U), where she hopes to become a hero and possibly be able to reunite with her sister.
Alas, as she uncovers some dark secrets in the school, she's moved to question just what exactly a hero is?

This show was a beauty to watch, especially as I had just finished it's parent series "The Boys".
Seeing a new set of characters indeed made for a change of pace but there were a lot of good points for the show too.

What I Liked

- A Dope Debut episode

In a series getting the first episode right is a skill that is incredibly essential.
The debut episode of a series is what introduced the viewer to the story and if it's too slow or boring it can easily deter some viewers from continuing with the show.
Example of a series that fucked up it's debut episode in my thoughts is Peaky Blinders.
The Boys also had an episode that was relatively boring with the high part coming later in the ending of the episode with Huey's girlfriends murder.
Gen V didn't make such mistake as immediately the episodes started we're introduced to the main setting of the series, the main characters and the story had started.
The flow and characteristics were fluid, informative and speedy, thus keeping viewers interested.

- The Characters and Cast

We had a very complex set of characters in this show.
As one might imagine, growing up to be a socially indecent and morally unbounded superhero in the seven means growing up with a whole lot of mental issues and going through very disturbing incidents.
We get to see and experience what this characters are going through in their youthful age and the cast displays their feelings beautifully.

- The Chronological Specifics

Like I mentioned in the intro, two different series with different set of casts and workers having to link up is quite amazing.
The writers being able to align the events chronologically was very impressive in my opinion.
I feel such effects help in painting that mental effect in the viewers brain as the two series are one and thus it helps in influencing the story and making it more enjoyable.

Overall Review

This show was a lovely experience and a lovely break from the normal war and gore of the boys.

Not meaning that there's no gore here though 😂

The gore in this film is potentially more than what was shown in the boys so of course I've got to put a PG on it.
I give the show a 8 out of 10 ratings and I indulge superhero fans to check it out.

Would prolly help to check it's parent series out first though 😀
