One Piece Woonan's Treasure 💰🏴‍☠️

It's little over a month till One piece is due to resume airing. And I can boldly say that I can't wait any longer.
After having a 7 month marathon from June till December last year to start and catch up to the series, this is one of the longest I've stayed without having a taste of the Strawhat Crew.
I have no interest in the remake arc that's ongoing and I don't want to read ahead in the manga, so the only thing left for me to do is to go on to the movies.

One Piece is one of the longest anime franchise still currently ongoing, spanning through a few decades, it has hundreds of episodes and of course quite a list of movies.
There are 12 movies which are not canon, yet despite them not having any impact on the original plot, they do hold a warm place in fans hearts and I just created a spot for then in mine.

One Piece: The Movie

Plot

Woonan, the great gold pirate of the East Blue. Legend's say that he acquired a third of the world's gold supply, building a mountain of gold that sparkles like daylight at night.
A boy called Tobio who wishes to join Woonan's crew meets Luffy and the Strawhats and sets off on a journey to find the legend.

This is the first movie of One Piece, it is also known as One Piece Movie Woonan Treasure. Released in 2000, with a run-time of just 49 minutes, it's a simple straight arrow movie, yet it's something I had so much fun watching.
The earlier parts of One Piece was when we saw the comedic gags really shine, back in the East Blue when the Strawhats were just an up and coming pirate group.

Watching this movie brought a sense of nostalgia back to me, the animation style, color scheme, scene templates and OST's just left me in awe.
It was simple yet effective.

There was also a chance to see some of Luffy's earlier, more entertainment and imaginative moves.

It seems that now that he has more power, he isn't using his old skillsets that were his originals when I'm theory they should have more destructive power if reinforce with his power ups in the Egghead arc.
Imagine a Gum gum Bazooka with Armament Hali and Gear 5th giant sized hand..

There really isn't much to review about this movie though, with such a short run-time it's just a bit more than a regular episode at this point. Yet even even with it's short run time, it's a lovely film.
I give it an 8/10 and I invite all One Piece fans who waiting for it's return yet don't know what to do while waiting to come watch and check it out.
