But today we will know about a king who left his baby prince and his wife in the royal palace and was at war for many years and returned to the kingdom with a lot of gold and slaves for the kingdom. But on his return he tried to make his son a warrior and was brutally killed by his own younger brother.
You can tell how helpless a little boy can be when his father is dead and his mother is taken away by his uncle! At the same time, an attempt was made to kill the prince. When the uncle becomes an enemy out of greed for the kingdom, the prince is forced to flee and prepare himself as a powerful and ferocious warrior to take revenge. Movie Review:
In the movie we see a king, who after various wars returns to his wife and children with lots of gold. Whereupon the king's wife and the king's younger brother welcomed him. But the king takes his son wounded in the battle to the jester to make him the next king, and on his way back after completing the ritual brutally kills the king's younger brother, the king, out of greed for the kingdom. At that time Pins also tried to kill him, somehow he escaped and made himself as strong and ferocious as the Viking soldiers to prevent his father's death.
As the prince transforms himself into a mighty warrior, a Viking prophet reminds him to avenge the attack on his father and mother. As a result, Prince Amleth learns of his uncle's whereabouts and disguises himself as a Viking maid. Prince Amleth also learns that his uncle, King Fjölnir, cannot hold their kingdom and has now established his own kingdom in Iceland.
Prince Amleth meets Olga while visiting his uncle's kingdom, and the two of them travel to Iceland to kill King Fjölnir. The Prince knew that his mother might be dead, but it appears that Prince Amleth's mother is living happily as King Fjölnir's queen. As a result, the Prince meets his mother and learns that both his mother and uncle planned and still want to kill the Prince and his father. Because of this, Prince Amleth was forced to run away with Olga.
When the Prince touches Olga on the sea and realizes they will have two children, he returns to Iceland again to protect the child and Olga, and kills his mother, his uncle's two sons, and almost all the soldiers. It is later seen in a place called Helka that the Prince and his uncle fight, and there Prince Amleth destroys all the enemies by killing King Fjölnir.

Northman was an incredibly intense watch, slightly awkward at times but overall the production and atmosphere of the film was on another level. That ending too was incredible. I feel like Skarsgard is always usually in pretty decent stuff. Really liked his character on True Blood and since then I recently saw him in Cronenberg’s son’s Infinity Pool which was good too. I preferred Brandon’s previous movie Possessor but Infinity Pool was still a good mount of strange.
Indeed, the movie has some amazing scenes, and the ending of the movie was just as good as the events of the movie. But yes I haven't seen Brandon's previous movie Possessor, I will definitely watch it and let you know how it was. Thank you very much for your comment.
No problem. Cronenberg’s movies are usually pretty great. It’ll be interesting to see how his son’s career develops and turns out. Northman might be the best Viking movie yet. Can’t think of a better at the moment but maybe that will change in the years to come.
