Drive Away Dolls is new comedy film, full of pursuits and adventures for fans of this genre. Directed by Ethan Coen, it will take us on a road trip of two friends charge with laughter, friendship, and enough chaos keeping the viewer posted to confirm what will be end of the trip for these friends. The movie is about Jamie a free spirit going through a breakup with her girlfriend and Marian that needs to take a relax in her daily routine. Both friends will be looking for a new beginning in their life and embark on an improvised road trip from Tallahassee. They rent a car and discover a briefcase that apparently contains a large amount of money inside but after that discovery things get a little crazy when they cross paths with a group of criminals that are looking for anything that is inside the briefcase carrying them to certain events that will change their plans from a relax trip to an unknown adventure.

Ethan Coen is an american director born on September 21, 1957 known for working next to his brother Joel Coen and create a new vision inside the comedy films in the industry of indie movies with more action, black humor, eccentric characters and twisted plots now Coen is bringing this new movie Drive Away Dolls that will show to the viewers all the experience gained during his 40 years of carrier making it with great cast and the black humor that Coen signature some movies that can highlight his great filmography are the thriller Blood Simple 1984 the iconic The Big Lebowski 1998 and the intense drama of No Country for Old Men 2007 movie that won four Academy Awards in 2008 for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, Best Direction and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Like many films Drive Away Dolls faced delays due to the Hollywood actors strike. It was going to be released on September 22, 2023 but now the movie could be seen on February 23, 2024. The production process also had its difficulties with changes in the cast and direction. Initially, the direction was led by Allison Anders and then Ethan Coen took on the challenge as the new director. At the end the direction, staff and cast could complete the filming and production of the movie.

The director Ethan Cohen with this movie does not want to send a deep message instead he uses humor and peculiar situations to explore themes of friendship, self discovery and personal growth offering a light yet profound experience with funny situations and adventures. With this, it seems that Drive Away Dolls is not just a comedy these two friends have different personalities and during the journey they go through moments of conflict and heartfelt moments until they encounter some useless thieves that will introduce them into a world they never expected.

Drive Away Doll is a criminal comedy, a story of two friends that need to escape from the normal and stressful life they are living, unfortunately or thankfully they are going to live the twisted experience of their life due to a mistake when they rent a car. All this situations are going to test their friendship making it more stronger, they are going to face the encounter with some questionable thieves and will be amazing to see how these two girls will pass through this adventure. Ethan Coen bring this new movie for viewers to take a relax time in their life an enjoy what he does best create a film with a black humor. laughs and action. There is one aspect that concerns me, I Pedro Pascal and Matt Damon are not the main characters of this movies although would like to see them participate enough so it doesn't feel like they were added to the cast just for marketing purpose.
