Welcome to the story of John Wilkes Booth. The story start when Edwin Stanton notifies President Abraham Lincoln that the confederacy is dead, the union is saved and the world is over, after 5 days of that success people were happy and celebrating the end of war and on of those celebration was a play in the Ford’s Theater where a lot of people assisted and also the President, everyone took their seats and the President was in one of the balcony with his wife, suddenly and gun shot was heard and a man yell in the President balcony, since that moment the news spread like wildfire, President Abraham Lincoln’s was assassinated, the man responsible of the tragic murder never hide his face and everyone knew that the man who shot the President was John Wilkes Booth. Edwin Stanton start a hunt to find that man and make him pay for his repulsive act, also the Detective James L. Tracy leads the official investigation and becomes obsessed with catching Booth before h can escape to Canada. The series will follow the hunting of Booth for 12 days until he is captured, the audience will discover a part of history that probably many people don’t know and the conspiracy about Lincoln’s murder.
The series Manhunt is based on the New York Times bestselling book written by James L. Swanson, directed by Carl Franklin and Tobias Menzies in the main role. Is a Apple TV series that will be premiered on March 15th.

Carl Franklin takes the direction of the series Manhunt. Franklin also has an acting career and his most recognizable acting role was his 1983-85 portrayal of Captain Crane on the popular TV Series The A-Team, as a director his directorial credits include standout films such as Devil in a Blue Dress 1990 and Out of Time 2003, both starring Denzel Washington and he has directed episodes of television series like 13 Reasons Why, House of Cards and Mindhunter. Now in the series Manhunt Franklin is bringing the historical event of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln and the hunt of his murder John Wilkes Booth, a race for 12 days until he is captured, the director payed attention to every detail in regard of the location, the historical events and performances all to deliver a great production.

Anthony Boyle take the role of John Wilkes Booth, Boyle is best known for the role of Scorpius Malfoy in the Brodway production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for which he won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, he has also in films like Tolkien 2019 and Tetris 2023 as well in miniseries such as The Plot Againts America 2020 and Master of the Air 2024. Lovie Simone as Mary Simms, Simone start he carrier in the series Greenleaf and made her film debut in a supporting role in the movie Monster 2018, she is a raising actress. Matt Walsh as Dr. Samuel Mudd, Walsh is a comedian and actor best known for his role as Mike McLintock in Veep and is a founding member of the Upright Citizens Brigade sketch comedy troupe. Brandon Flynn as Eddie Stanton Jr., Flyn is known for his role as Justin Foley in the TV series 13 Reason Why, as Mike the Intern in BrainDead 2016 and also appeared in the series Ratched 2020 and in the Horror movie Hellraiser 2022. Betty Gabriel, known for her standout performance in Get Out and Upgrade, gracefully portrays Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Keckley. Hamish Linklater take the role of Abraham Lincoln, he is known for playing Matthew Kimble in The New Adventures of Old Christine, as Andrew Keanelly in The Crazy Ones and Clark Debussy in Legion.
