Sunday walk in the Prague - National museum and National Theatre - New Scene ( CZE) - Agfa APX 400
This week I've been posting photos of the new National Museum building. And today I'll show you a few pictures from the interior of the Old National Museum building, located in the upper part of Wenceslas Square in Prague.
Během tohoto týdne jsem postoval fotografie nové budovy Národního muzea. A dnes Vám ukážu pár snímků z interiéru Staré budovy Národního muzea, která se nachází v horní části Václavského náměstí v Praze.
I definitely do not recommend visiting on Sunday, because a lot of people probably had the same idea and so it was quite crowded and sometimes I had to wait before I could see an exhibition. The same was true for the elevator that takes you to the tower from where there is a great view of Prague.
Rozhodně nedoporučuji návštěvu v neděli, protože podobný nápad dostalo asi hodně lidí a tak bylo dosti plno a občas bylo třeba počkat, než jsem si mohl prohlédnout nějakou expozici. A podobně tomu bylo i u výtahu který Vás vyveze do věže odkud je skvělá vyhlídka na Prahu.
And since I managed to see the museum relatively quickly, I decided to walk home around the river. But first I noticed an advertisement from the 1930s on one of the houses.
A jelikož jsem prohlídku muzea stihl poměrně rychle rozhodl jsem se pro cestu kolem řeky domů pěšky. Ale nejprve jsem si všiml na jednom z domů reklamy z 30. let 20. století.
Before I reached the river, the building of the New Stage of the National Theatre stood in my way.
Než jsem došel k řece do cesty se mi postavila budova Nové scény Národního divadla.
I also saw a waterman by the river, who was choosing a victim to drown on the river bank.
U řeky jsem zahlédl také vodníka, který si na náplavce vybíral oběť, kterou utopí.
Next time we will continue around the river upstream, but that will be in the next film.
Příště budeme pokračovat kolem řeky proti proudu, ale to bude až na dalším filmu.
The compositions you make with the buildings look very interesting. The one where you see the sculpture on the top of the building is a photo that I also liked very much.
What is a waterman?
It was quite a challenge to find a place where the statue wouldn't touch any of the buildings. The Waterman is a mythical figure living in the water who drowns the unwary near the water and takes their souls.

Líbí se mi ta paleta odstínů šedé. Asi to neumím vyjádřit slovy, ale je to takové… uspokojující.
To je jeden z důvodů proč jsem začal fotit na černobilý film. Protože takový rozsah šedé jsem z digitálu nebyl schopen dostat.
Na druhou stranu, když to oskenuješ a publikuješ online, tak jsi tím rozsahem zpátky v tom digitálním světě 😁
To sice jsem v digitálním světě, ale vstupní parametry jsou naprosto jiný. U digitálu si hlídáš aby jsi nepřepálil detaili v bílé straně spektra. U filmu je to přesně naopak. Tam se snažíš zachovat detaili ve stínech. Takže z toho ve výsledku vychází příjemnější gradace šedé.
