Greetings Hive-con community, this is my first time posting among you. I thank my friend @edfer18 for his invitation to the initiative to present a character from an animated series that had a very brief appearance in the story and made an impression on us enough to want to see or know more about the character.

I have been trying to publish for a couple of days, since we are currently going through a series of power cuts and drops in the cell phone signal, and it is because of the cell phone signal that I can connect to the internet. So I don't know if the publication is within the required time, even so I did not want to miss the friend's invitation.

I have had to squeeze my brain cells trying to choose an appropriate series, I have read many mangas, web novels and watched a lot of animes. Some, despite being very good, are not all well known, I also have to remember that in the same series: if you read the web novel, the #manga or watch the #anime, the story changes. Sometimes a little, other times it changes a lot, characters and entire plot lines can appear or disappear, as happens in the Overlord series and the Akame Ga Kill series.

I wanted to talk about the 'Knights of Steel' from the Knights of the Zodiac series (as the Saint Seiya series was known in my country), because of the precise way in which they are presented in the story. His presence raises the appearance of the progressive ideas that led to the death of the philosopher Socrates in the Greek world, which is where the series is set. But it's a bit complex stuff, and it would take a whole post that would end up getting a bit off-topic.

So I ended up deciding on the iconic series of Mechas from the famous Go Nagai: Mazinger Z, which is quite well known, and you can easily find references to all the characters, in case you want to go deeper on the subject, it's easy for you.

The character I chose is the protagonist of chapter 38 of the original series: The female counterpart of Mazinger Z, Minerva X. She only appears once in the #series, it is in that chapter, she has a very deep and emotional participation that ends with be unforgettable.

Minerva X, is an autonomous robot with strong female characteristics with the same powers as Mazinger Z, designed by Dr. Juzo Kabuto, the same builder of #Mazinger Z, to serve as the support and complement of the male version.

In the story, the plans were stolen by the evil Doctor Inferno, who did not fully understand what all the circuits did, nor did he have the Z alloy. But he understood how powerful it was as a combat #robot. Even with all the impediments, Doctor Hell used the super steel alloy and risked building it without fully understanding its operation.

When Doctor Hell finally completes the construction and sends it to attack, he is very satisfied with its destructive capacity, until Mazinger Z enters the scene, Minerva when facing him loses control, since the main support circuit, the Companion Circuit, activates and conflicts with the order to attack and destroy. We see how she tries to avoid fighting and Mazinger when he catches up with #Minerva, after having to chase her, she can't resist him, and we see her cry before deactivating and falling. Then it is explained that it is a product of overheating of the circuits due to the contradiction of orders, but it is undoubtedly dramatic, it is something like what happened with the HAL computer in the #movie “2001 Space Odyssey”.

Minerva was created from its core and each circuit to support and protect the Mazinger, when they manage to activate it in the photonic laboratory we see her walking around with the Mazinger, literally Minerva was a robot with a very advanced AI, but everything she did showed her love and adoration for her male counterpart. To the point of making Sayaca Yumi, who was the female counterpart of the Mazinger pilot, Koyi Kabuto, burst into jealousy.

It is a very romantic and tragic chapter, it reminds us of a story of a deep and impossible #love. Minerva X at the end, dies in Mazinger's arms, and a part of my heart died of grief when she fell.

I always hoped that somehow they could reactivate her or rebuild her in some way, but it was something that never happened, she is a character that was endearing and very self-sacrificing.

Saving the distances reminds me a bit of the story of Romeo and Juliet, children of parents who oppose and fight to the death. While the children have a deep and impossible love, and ends with a tragic death.

Tengo un par de días tratando de publicar, ya que estamos atravesando en estos momentos por una serie de cortes en el servicio eléctrico y de caídas en la señal de telefonía celular, y es por la señal del celular que puedo conectarme al internet. Por lo que no sé si la publicación este dentro del tiempo requerido, aun así no quise faltar a la invitación del amigo.

He tenido que exprimirme las neuronas tratando de escoger una serie apropiada, he leído muchos mangas, novelas web y visto gran cantidad de animes. Algunos a pesar de ser muy buenos, no son todos muy conocidos, también tengo que recordar que en una misma serie: si lees la novela web, el #manga o ves el #anime la historia cambia. Algunas veces un poco, otras cambia muchísimo, pueden aparecen o desaparecer personajes y líneas argumentales completas, como pasa en la serie Overlord y la serie Akame Ga Kill.

Quería hablar sobre los ‘Caballeros de Acero’ de la serie Caballeros del Zodiaco (como se le conoció en mi país a la serie Saint Seiya), por la forma tan precisa en que se presentan en la historia. Su presencia plantean la aparición las ideas progresistas que llevaron a la muerte al filósofo Sócrates en el mundo Griego, que es donde se ambienta la serie. Pero es algo un poco complejo, y necesitaría una publicación entera que terminaría por salirse un poco del tema.

Así que termine por decidirme por la icónica serie de mechas del célebre Go Nagai: Mazinger Z, que es bastante conocida y se pueden encontrar fácilmente referencia a todos los personajes, en caso de que quieran profundizar más sobre el tema, les sea sencillo.

Minerva X, es un robot autónomo con marcadas características femeninas con los mismos poderes del Mazinger Z, diseñado por el doctor Juzo Kabuto el mismo constructor de Mazinger Z, para servir como el apoyo y complemento de la versión masculina.

En la historia, los planos fueron robados por el maléfico Doctor Infierno, que no terminaba de entender que hacían todos los circuitos, tampoco contaba con la aleación Z. Pero comprendía lo poderoso que era como robot de combate. Aun con todo los impedimentos, el Doctor Infierno uso la aleación de super acero y se arriesgó a construirla sin terminar de entender por completo su funcionamiento.

Cuando finalmente el Doctor Infierno completa la construcción y la envía a atacar, está muy satisfecho por su capacidad de destrucción, hasta que entra en escena Mazinger Z, Minerva al encararlo pierde el control, ya que el circuito principal de apoyo, el Circuito Compañero, se activa y entra en contradicción con la orden de atacar y destruir. Vemos como trata ella de evitar pelear y Mazinger al alcanzar a Minerva, luego de tener que perseguirla, ella no puede resistirlo y la vemos llorar antes de desactivarse y caer. Luego se explica que es un producto del sobrecalentamiento de los circuitos por la contradicción de órdenes, pero es sin dudas dramático, es algo como lo que sucedía con la computadora HAL en la película “2001 Odisea Espacial”.

Minerva fue creada desde su núcleo y cada circuito para apoyar y proteger al Mazinger, cuando logran activarla en el laboratorio fotónico la vemos pasear con el Mazinger, literalmente Minerva era un robot con una IA muy avanzada, pero todo lo que hacía mostraba su amor y adoración por su contraparte masculina. Al punto de hacer estallar en celos a Sayaca Yumi, que era la contraparte femenina del piloto de Mazinger, Koyi Kabuto.

Es un capítulo muy romántico y trágico, nos recuerda una historia de un amor profundo e imposible. Minerva X al final, muere en brazos de Mazinger, y una parte de mi corazón murió de pena con su caída.

Siempre esperé que de algún modo pudiesen reactivarla o reconstruirla de alguna manera, pero fue algo que nunca sucedió, es un personaje que se hacía querer y muy sacrificado.

Salvando las distancias me recuerda un poco a la historia de Romeo y Julieta, hijos de padres que se oponen y batallan a muerte. Mientras los hijos se tienen un profundo amor imposible y termina con una muerte trágica.

Deje por fuera a series como: Bastard, Onikirimaru, Sadamitsu el Destructor, y muchos otros que no son muy comerciales, y que puede que no sean muy conocidos, buscando hacer que el tema les sea más fácil de rastrear, en caso de que quieran ahondar más en la historia, pero si tienen algo de tiempo son buenas historias para pasar un buen rato también.
