Hey Alex! Welcome to Hive! Glad you made your way to HIVE. I am working in the movie industry myself and unfortunately, I have not been able to shoot my first movie outside of film school yet. I studied acting and after a long period of pursuing that profession, I wanted to get behind the camera and into the director's chair. We have created the @hmvf where we want to bring together filmmakers and musicians to work on their own music video projects. The first video we produce will be shot for @ravenmus1c.
I am far away from a postproduction professional. I like a good editor though! I can use Davinci though a bit...
It would be awesome to work together in some way or form. Also would be glad to help out with any footage needed from Hungary, Austria, and Germany.
Ah btw you can find my movie from my 4th semester here on 3speak.

Sorry for the long comment but I get very enthusiastic because it is not an everyday thing to get an award winning professional on HIVE.
Cheers @solymi

Hey Solymi, i took the 12 minutes of time to watch you movie. Well let me start with i love the combination of the medival age and the future, thats super creative and bringing those 2 time periods togeather is super cool. I was just sad that i saw you use time-ramping on the begining when he is getting all the flashbacks, and you didnt use them in fight scene - to enhance the swing of the sword and give it more action. The VFX was, well you know :) but it suits this kind of movie, and i can just praise all the time and effort you put in VFX. For a short sci-fi movie is great, but you never gave us the answer what happen to socrates (the chicken) and i think the audience would love to know what happen to him. Maybe make a 2nd part of the movie to give that answer? :)

Best

Hey Alex, thanks for taking the time to watch the movie, I really appreciate it.
Regarding the time ramps that is a very good input. The VFX is... you know, we where a student project and it was the part of a 4th semester project. We had about 3 weeks to get the movie done regarding postproduction since we had a deadline. A lot of things I would love to see more evolved but due to lack of time these things got put on a shelf.
Regarding Socrates. Preportaled is Episode 0 of a 7 part web series and there is an Episode 1 that has been done. But it has not been graded yet and regarding VFX it would need some love too. That was our thesis project for me as director for my colleague Max as DOP and for our script writer Ramona. The scripts exist until the end of episode 3 and I would love to produce the whole series with a bigger budget and a better main actor or lets say it Professor. During the production of the 1st Episode we faced huge problems that I will not discuss here, let it be said I was learning text the day before shooting because I did not know if my Professor turns up and it took me serious negotiation skills to get the 5 shooting days in cam.
The chicken plays a large role later on in the coming Episodes. I can not spoil anything because I really plan to shoot this one day using a bigger budget and hopefully also funds from the Bavarian and Austrian Film commission
Thank you so much for your feedback and thank you again for taking the time to watch Episode 0. I hope once our grader and VFX artists are done with episode 1 that I can post it and you will get some answers and more Back to the Future references.
All the Love from Vienna
