Exhuma es una película que mezcla las creencias tradicionales de Asia sobre el karma y el feng shui y los rituales esotéricos para liberarlos. Supe de esta película por una reseña en la comunidad y cómo es un tema que me atrae, la vi en la primera oportunidad.

Los chamanes son dos personas jóvenes, una mujer que es la experta y su aprendiz, ambos coinciden que el espíritu de uno de sus abuelos está enojado y está cobrando venganza enfermando a sus descendientes adultos y evitando que la familia siga creciendo, para eliminar esta maldición debían exhumar el cadáver del abuelo de allí el nombre de la película, que fue enterrado en un lugar específico, sin nombre solo con algunos números que resultaron ser unas coordenadas.

Para realizar la exhumación viajan a ese país y tienen que tener permiso legal o algo que justifique esta acción por lo general ocurre si hay sospechas de un homicidio, pero este no era caso, realizaron la exhumación a escondidas realizando un ritual con tambores, danza y sangre de unos cerdos que ya estaban muertos, es un tipo de ofrenda a los dioses, lo que no sabían era con lo que se iban a encontrar.

Exhuma is a film that blends traditional Asian beliefs about karma and feng shui with esoteric rituals to release them. I learned about this film from a review in the community, and as it is a topic that interests me, I watched it at the first opportunity.

The shamans are two young individuals, a woman who is the expert and her apprentice. They both agree that the spirit of one of their grandparents is angry and seeking revenge by making their adult descendants sick and preventing the family from growing. To lift this curse, they had to exhume the grandfather's body, hence the name of the movie, which was buried in a specific location with no name, only some numbers that turned out to be coordinates.

To carry out the exhumation, they traveled to that country and needed legal permission or some justification for their actions, usually granted in cases of suspected homicide. However, that was not the case, so they conducted the exhumation secretly, performing a ritual with drums, dance, and blood from pigs that were already dead, as an offering to the gods. Little did they know what they would encounter.

La película es regular no puedo decir que es buena, ya que no me gusto, hubo muchas incongruencias en la historia, primero nunca supe por qué el espíritu del abuelo estaba enojado, segundo exhumaron la tumba, pero no era para abrirla, su intención era cremarla sin destapar el ataúd, eso no tiene mucho sentido para mí, después por curiosidad alguien destapó el ataúd dejando escapar el espíritu que acabó con la vida de sus hijos.

Seguido de eso, la historia se enfocó en regresar ese espíritu al ataúd y como los problemas continuaron, se dieron cuenta de que había más cadáveres en las mismas coordenadas, a partir de aquí se dividió la película en dos partes, la realidad y un mundo de ficción con fantasmas, en la última parte los efectos especiales fueron más desarrollados.

El final fue el esperado por cómo se desenvolvían los hechos, el bebe se salvó, la familia se liberó y los sobrevivientes quedaron felices. Es una película que no dejará ningún aprendizaje ni reflexión; sin embargo, mantiene al espectador por sus efectos especiales.

The film is average, I can't say it's good because I didn't like it. There were many inconsistencies in the story. First, I never found out why the grandfather's spirit was angry. Second, they exhumed the grave but not to open it; their intention was to cremate it without uncovering the coffin, which doesn't make much sense to me. Later, out of curiosity, someone opened the coffin, releasing the spirit that ended the lives of his children.

Following that, the story focused on returning that spirit to the coffin, and as the problems continued, they realized there were more bodies in the same coordinates. From there, the film was split into two parts: reality and a fictional world with ghosts, and in the final part, the special effects were more developed.

The ending was as expected based on how events unfolded: the baby was saved, the family was freed, and the survivors were left happy. It's a film that won't leave any lessons or reflections; however, it captivates the audience with its special effects.
