Estómago presents a part of Raimundo Nonato's life when he decides to try his luck in a new city, he is a shy and respectful man who has no work experience, he arrives to a bad impression restaurant hungry where he eats and has nothing to pay with, So the owner offers him a deal to work there to pay for what he consumed and lodging, in the end he ended up living and working, he learned to cook and made the place a sudden success, there he met a man who offered him to go to work with him in an Italian restaurant and to continue learning about cooking, an opportunity he took.

Throughout the film there are two parallel times where they present the past and present, but the viewer does not know which is which, being a little confusing to know the temporal thread of the story, in one time is Raimundo Nonato working as a cook and learning about gastronomy and in another time is in a prison where he uses his knowledge of cooking to improve his condition inside the prison and survive, not being sure what happened hooked me into the story arousing my curiosity and intrigue. Durante toda la película hay dos tiempos paralelos en donde presentan el pasado y el presente, pero el espectador no sabé cuál es cuál, siendo un poco confuso saber el hilo temporal de la historia, en un tiempo está Raimundo Nonato trabajando de cocinero y aprendiendo de gastronomía y en otro tiempo está en una cárcel donde usa sus conocimientos de cocina para mejorar su condición dentro de la cárcel y sobrevivir, no estar segura de que fue lo que pasó me enganchó en la historia despertando mi curiosidad e intriga. Me preguntaba qué fue lo que hizo para estar en la cárcel y si fue después que se convirtió en un cocinero valioso o antes.

Desde el principio Raimundo Nonato se ve como alguien tímido y da la impresión de ser inocente, con una calma que pocos pueden llegar a tener y es una característica de los psicópatas y asesinos seriales, pero no es hasta el final de la película que entendí lo que había pasado.

Raimundo Nonato, se enamoró de la persona equivocada, fue fiel, generoso y amable pero un evento lo enloqueció de celos, fue traicionado y eso es todo el argumento de la película. Hay escenas donde la comida es la protagonista viéndose de forma asquerosa, el humor también estuvo presente. Tuvo momentos cumbres como el inicio, la mitad y su final fue el mejor.

Si te gusta las películas que te ponen a pensar por qué suceden las cosas te recomiendo estómago. Buscando las imágenes para este post me enteré que vi la película del año 2007 y que existe una segunda parte que salió en el 2024.
