Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

I went to the avant-premiere of "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" yesterday, and I thought I'd share my thoughts with you.

First of all, I obviously won't include any spoilers, so feel free to read my entire review. (Unless you get bored, of course, because it might get long 😜) Let's go!

First, don't be discouraged if you haven't seen the first movie before watching this one. You won't have any trouble following or understanding it. Of course, if you have the time and the inclination, I would advise you to watch it. It might enhance your overall experience. But it's not mandatory.

As for the actors, they were all perfect in their roles and stole the show in every scene they appeared in! (Even some who didn’t have much screen time.) My personal favorites were Michael Keaton and Willem Dafoe, but that’s purely subjective! The only concern I had was with Jenna Ortega because she was essentially playing Wednesday again, and I can’t tell if it’s the only thing she can do acting-wise or if she just hasn’t been given the chance yet to showcase her range... I suppose I'll find out in the future, as surely she won't be cast in the same type of role forever. However, she was very good at what she did, and she fits perfectly with the vibe of Tim Burton’s films!

Also, the sets, costumes, and graphics were stunning! Anyone who loves Halloween vibes and Tim Burton's aesthetic will surely adore this movie!

Additionally, the music and sound design were spot-on and blended with every scene, making it even better!

The humor in the film was great and clever! You laugh a lot without anything becoming ridiculous or over the top! There were also some touching moments that might make you tear up a bit, but they weren’t overly sentimental or emotionally manipulative! Overall, the emotions were just right! However, don't expect to be scared. It’s not a horror movie. It’s not going to happen.

As for the plot, it’s not a film that will change your life, nor does it carry any deep messages or meanings. But you’ll definitely have a good time watching it, you won’t get bored even though it’s not incredibly suspenseful, and you’ll laugh a lot! (And maybe get a little emotional at certain points.) Overall, you'll leave the theater in a good mood!

In conclusion, I’ll say that I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend you go see it!

I have a question, isn't self-voting prohibited?

avatar

I don't feel it's prohibited otherwise the front end would block it.

avatar

Thank you very much for clarifying it for me

avatar

and I have also realized that 26% of what is written in this post is done by an AI https://prnt.sc/5Q0DO331UXkX , is that not prohibited too, or is there a scale

Who know's AI content is going to become more and more of a thing I'm not worried about it to be honest.

avatar

26% is a pretty low level. If an author would want to take an easy route, I'm sure the level of assumed generative content would be considerably higher.

Yes, the old one is an all-time classic. The good thing is that they did a really nice job, most of the time they just butcher films like they did with Ghostbusters.

As long as there's humour and laughter, then I'm good to go✌️.
